As it is known there are several teaching methodologies, including the Significant Learning Theory, which can be associated with the Dale Learning Pyramid, which consists of a model that describes how people learn and generate meaningful and lasting knowledge. In this model passive and active actions are considered, linked to the degree of depth of learning that the students obtain. Dale proposes that the level at which students can learn more, is where they perform actions linked to "teaching others", therefore, it follows that those students who perform tasks of assistants should obtain deeper learning. The questions asked to answer this work are: Is being an assistant/preparer implies a higher academic performance? And Is being an assistant/preparers generates oral communication skills? To answer this, the qualifications of 155 graduates of the civil engineering career of the PUCV were reviewed, some of whom had worked as assistant/preparers and others had not. With this information we found a fairly high positive correlation (academic performance, 0.9535 and oral presentation 0.8235), between the relative average of the students' scores with a certain number of assistants (with respect to the average of all) and the amount of assistantships that realized.

The present work was aimed to implement the program of Health Promoting Schools in the Fiscal School of the Republic of Cuba, in the Payanchi neighbourhood of the city of Loja, in order to promote individual and collective initiatives and actions to achieve wellness and suitable conditions for a healthy life in the educational community. We worked with the methodology of logical framework, which initially allowed us to identify the main causes for which this school did not work as a health promoter;  from which the actions to be developed throughout the investigation were established to fulfill the objectives. The results obtained were aimed to strengthening four basic areas associated to the proper functioning of the school: public management and participation, development of healthy environments and environmental conditions, health training and provision of health services. Taking into consideration that the school is the ideal place to create a health culture involving personal and social responsibility, highlighting the integrality of the person and the need to provide it with knowledge and tools to reach their possibilities of realization.

This work accounts for research carried out at independent theaters in the city of Córdoba, and at the Department of Theater, School of Arts, National University of Córdoba. The inquiry aimed at surveying on-stage procedures and techniques, considering them as lines of force which cross through the contemporary theatrical device. It also aimed at establishing connections between academic and independent circles. Interviews were conducted with directors, actors and different theater makers. More than a hundred plays were seen and recorded, both independent productions and final projects from different classes at the Theater Department, School of Arts, National University of Córdoba.. Furthermore, theatrical productions and theoretical approaches by the authors of this paper were also taken into account. The data yielded by this survey was analyzed against the backdrop of relevant theories and philosophy of drama and aesthetics .It is concluded that some of the problems that appear most strongly in the current theatricality is the crisis of the reality-fiction relationship and the question of art about itself. It is noticed that this weak limit between reality and fiction that is perceived in the social dynamics, is assumed by the theater, which in turn erases its own limits, as a critical view on the web of power that constructs reality.

The study of the intersubjective processes of construction and formation of social identities, as a symbolic and material place of socialization of particular worldviews, idioms of language, gastronomy and, in short, specific ways of life that differentiate people and places in the relational network of near and distant alterities occupies a prominent place in contemporary social theory, with special emphasis on the domains of socio-cognitive, socio-constructionist and language models. The methodology takes place through dialogical reflection, together with the elaboration of percentages on the recurrence of certain cultural practices in different areas of Ecuador.   This article aims to unveil the scope and meaning, both in theory and in concrete reality, of the processes of construction of identities based on language.   All this on the differential perspective of some authors and sociocultural, psychological and anthropological theories. It is argued that to think about the process of identity formation is to focus on the development of learning that urges people to be able to feel, think and act in an educated way, consciously engaging in the economic, political, social and cultural activities of their country. This research concludes that the Province of El Oro is characterized by its cultural diversity, which is a determining factor in the construction of diverse identities composed of three essential elements: subjectivity, language and culture with their varied interrelations.

This essay has the purpose of analyzing the university social responsibility from a prospective vision from the functions of teaching, research and extension at the Centroccidental University Lisandro Alvarado. It was conducted a review of documents and other referential intellectual productions that condenses the responsible actions carried out by higher education as a result of the execution of its institutional project in the coherence of its ethical values in the pursuit of happiness through ( a) teaching, not only aimed at training professionals, but also at integrating people into society; (b) research, aimed at developing knowledge, both scientific and technical, that will allow a better quality of life for humanity; and (c) extension, to provide a service to the community with solid ethical and humanistic criteria of solidarity from the academic excellence. These functions with high social standards, from which they will cover the needs and emergencies of the dynamics of emerging changes immersed in the training of future professionals.  It was concluded that the strategic rationality of the university functions should be a transversal axis in the academic formation, with a view to developing a systemic prospective, without disciplinary barriers to assume an unstructured attitude given the complex dynamics of the scientific, technological, organizational and labor advances, in search of greater competitiveness in the context that is glimpsed within the XXI century

The article analyzes the construction and representation of spaces and subjects in the modern Caribbean tourism imaginary and its relationship with the production and circulation of images, civilizing processes, and the development of capitalism, which date from the beginnings of the European presence in the basin, during the 16th century.  The analysis is built around William Shakespeare's play The Tempest, mostly on the metaphor of the relationship between Prospero and the island, and with its native inhabitants in particular with Calibanon.  By making use of the Shakespearean work of the colonial historical processes of the Caribbean in the first European descriptions of the area protrayed in the dairies of Columbus, the development of the slave plantation, and the establishment of modern tourism, this article proposes that the vast majority of colonial dynamics still persist in the perception and use of the Caribbean as a tourist destination.
