Resumen
The research was aimed at evaluating the tracer essential nursing process (Hepatitis B vaccine) in health personnel of the Urban Outpatient Clinic "Dr. Joaquín MármolLuzardo, "Venezuelan Red Cross, Sectional Mérida, August 2014 to September 2015. This quantitative research approach, with a type of explanatory research, quasi-experimental design, applied to a representative population of health personnel employed at this Health Center mentioned above. It is concluded that the tracer nursing process is crucial in implementing the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) and in the constant evaluation of product quality and effectiveness of immunization is ensured, thus achieving high levels of seroconversion. Greater efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency under the old vaccination compared with the current was found. The new scheme reached levels ˂100mlU / ml therefore it is recommended placing a reinforcement vaccine dose to ensure an adequate immune response is obtained.

Resumen
This research focuses in the development of a proposal for an action plan in the order of a the integral attention regarding public health care for the elderly, being considered aspects like: epidemiological, psychological and community factors, as well as medical access, in Merida-Venezuela. This research is justified by the fact that in recent years there has been a notable increase in the population of adults over 60 years and subsequently the increased demand in economic, cultural, recreational, nutritional, social and health care, which are essential to provide comprehensive quality care in the public health spectrum to the elderly. Methodology: qualitative approach, documentary type, non-experimental design. The proposed action plan seeks to address the challenge of aging in the 21st century, focusing on three key areas: first of all, aging and development, health promotion and the well-being of elderly by the creation of a supportive environment; second of all, supporting policies aimed at improving aging; and finally, the possibility of reorienting the way in which the State, Non-governmental organizations and Society perceive the elderly, linking aging within the frame of social and economic development. Conclusions: the need for quality health services was determined. In that order, as evidenced in the review of the Venezuelan literature, there is no preparation regarding infrastructure, health personnel, continuing education and health education within the communities, where the community should be aware of the importance of the elder care at home.

Resumen
Carboxyhemoglobin is a protein, resulting from the binding of hemoglobin with carbon monoxide which once in the blood tends to bind reversibly. The objective of the research was to evaluate the levels of carboxyhemoglobin in low season with respect to the high season. It was applied to the personnel who works in the south passengers transport terminal "José Antonio Paredes" of Libertador municipality, Mérida state, Venezuela, during the year 2017. The methodology was developed under a quantitative approach, a quasiexperimental and field design, the type of study was evaluative, and the sample consisted of 58 terminal employees who met the inclusion criteria. The results show that levels of carboxyhemoglobin are lower in the low season (0.80 ± 0.704) at the beginning of the working day, while at the end of the working day the average was 2.60 ± 1.256, similar situation was obtained in the high season because of at the beginning of the day the average value was 0.69 ± 0.548, in contrast, by the end of the working day the average was 2.98 ± 1.377; statistically significant differences (p <0.05), when the low season was compared to the beginning and end of the working day, just like smokers have a higher percentage of carboxyhemoglobin and influences the clinical manifestations. It was concluded that there is a higher percentage of carboxyhemoglobin at the end of the day, compared to the beginning of the working day. There is a higher percentage in the high season, unlike the low season. A higher percentage of the carboxyhemoglobin biomarker was determined for smokers.

Resumen
In Venezuela, the information about mortality is scarce, even more at regional scale, so it was proposed as an objective to evaluate the major causes of mortality per sanitary district, Mérida, 20112015. The investigation method was structured under a quantitative approach, the type of study was descriptive of retrospective cut and non experimental design, the information was obtained from the files of the Health´s Corporation of Mérida state, calculating mortality rate indicators and the Avpp. Results revealed that the male mortality is higher than female mortality in almost every cause of disease studied, with the rates of 5,427 to 5, 78 for men and 3,68 to 4,1 for women; the population density affects the number of deaths per year, but it doesn’t affects the indicator´s value, where the Tovar district has the highest mortality value (5,319). It is important to distinguish that the general mortality state values has been fluctuating slightly since 2011 with a value of 4,688 to 4,775 in 2015. It is recommended to the competent public entities, to realize awareness campaigns to the diseases prevention and furtherance of healthy lifestyles, besides improving the inversion to the health sector, and also to create more efficient demographic collection methods.
