Resumen
"Instead of making explicit the asymmetries, the violence, the coercions and the domination that shape relations in work and school, a paradise of supposedly non-directive education is simulated, because students evaluate and criticize the procedures permanently, without being able to decide nothing about the meaning and purpose of the educational device itself "(Zamora, 2017, 30). This affirmation subjects our educational discourse, supposedly autonomous and unrelated to socio-political conditions, to debate. And not only our discourse is put in question, but the very institution of the school. There is a disturbing question that must be answered from the honesty of those who seek to form responsible citizens, that is, people who assume ethics as a rule of life. Who benefits or interests our discourse and our educational practice? It is evident that both in the discourse and in the educational praxis there has been a lack of critical analysis of what we are doing. We have taken our practices for good and we have assumed a pedagogical discourse that is supposedly democratizing of civic life. We have moved between the contradiction of helping the formation of autonomous and free people, on the one hand, and the submissive adaptation to the existing order, on the other.

Resumen
The article examines the gender roles imposed on women in Spain under the Franco regime. It revisits Mercè Rodoreda’s 1962 novel The Time of the Doves and deciphers the female protagonist’s silence in the context of the post-Civil War period. Drawing on Julia Kristeva’s conception of the abject, it explores how silence becomes informative of the protagonist’s mental resistance to the patriarchal imposition, the helplessness and powerlessness a common woman feels under the Franco regime, and the gradual growth of female subjectivity.

From this perspective, the data were analyzed through descriptive statistics through the frequency distribution, identifying the measures, through absolute frequencies and relative frequency, where the appropriate tables for their respective analysis and discussion of the results were elaborated. The average of the frequency expressed in the three indicators was 4.2, indicating in the category of the present scale, with a standard deviation of 0.9 indicating that there is a high dispersion level of the variable, indicating that there is Dispersion of the data. Concluding under the author's position, the universities of the municipality of Riohacha assimilate the organizational innovation through a series of elements, which allow to make consent a situation or idea, evaluating it and taking them into practice.

Resumen
This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the articulation between PBL (Project Based Learning) and the use of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) in the foreign language teaching, with students of the distance learning students at a public university, by developing mini projects and, at the same time, using technology as a strategy to facilitate their performance in their learning process. In order to know students’ voices, an interview and a focus group were applied, with the objective of validating data. The analysis showed that technology is an instrument to encourage students to work as a team and also to reflect upon topics which are rather taken for granted and that enable them to develop critical thinking as well. Three main categories emerged from this research: becoming a tech teacher; skills vs. fears towards PBL; and in-depth awareness. It was concluded that, even though PBL demands commitment and time from the student teacher, they are willing to integrate these strategies into their classes, as a method of nurturing their professional development.

Resumen
The present study is part of my doctoral research about university students’ critical ability to identify media bias. The participants were two groups of students from a language department at an Ecuadorian university. There was no random assignment of participants to groups. Each group was composed of thirty participants. Information was collected from a test on critical thinking skills, a questionnaire on media bias, a self-evaluation on critical thinking and from treatment sessions applied to the experimental group.
The results of the first research question revealed there was no significant relation between critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. The second research question regarding the training in critical thinking skills to favor or not the ability to identify media bias in written press showed little changes with little improvement in the mean of both groups. Also, there was no significant improvement in students’ ability to identify media bias regarding the variable “time”. On the other hand, in the interaction of “time” and “group” there was no significance either. There was a minimal difference in the groups in both tests, as well as in the two times the test was taken by both groups. Furthermore, mistakes in grammar, syntactic and semantics, as well as the continuous use of dictionaries, revealed low attention in students and scarce critical thinking skills.
