In this work we present a report about the application of a didactic sequence (DS) about "Organic, transgenic and conventional food" in a group of young people and adults of the Federal Institute of Tocantins. We understand that the issue addressed incites controversy when it seeks to analyze the relationship between the production of different types of food, human health and environmental diversity. Therefore, the work was developed based on the assumptions of Science-Technology-Society Education (STSE) focusing on the approach of different socio-scientific issues (SSI) which denote explanations of, historical, political, economic, social, environmental, cultural and ethical-evaluative in relation to the advent of science and technology.

Learning materials aim to assist the process of construction of knowledge by the student, bringing reality closer and applying theories that were previously learned in class. Many technologies may be adapted to be used in class, among them is theMicrobial Fuel Cell (MFC) that aims to break down the organic matter by means of bacteria, decontaminating water and producing electricity. The MFC is easily adapted to the reality of the class and can be handled by both students and teacher, providing a significant construction of knowledge. The present study stablished the MFC as a learning material in the teaching of microbiology, chemistry and physics to technical, high school and undergraduate students, using low cost materials to guarantee the access to this resource

The study of viruses is a complex subject, hampered by microscopic dimensions and the need for abstraction for a better conceptual understanding. The present work presents a documentary research that investigates the didactic modalities used in Virology Teaching. The study object is 34 reports of experience published in the annals of the Encontro Regional de Ensino de Biologia (EREBIO SUL) and the Encontro Nacional de Ensino de Biologia (ENEBIO), between the years 2010 and 2015. There was a predominance of classes developed to from the didactic modalities that use the Information and Communication Technologies, with the objective of the classes, in the majority, to deepen the knowledge, being that the predominant content was related to the human health.

Biology teaching still faces difficulties in grasping concepts which are present in several school syllabi, especially in practices which promote meaningful and contextualized concept learning. This paper will introduce an action-reflection proposal from the organization of a Cell Biology game-lesson developed by an interdisciplinary workgroup. The game-lesson was applied in five first year high school classes to contribute with cell models comprehension, promoting group work and exercising research of printed teaching materials as well as the capability of organize and express ideas. The pedagogical results showed that the game became a catalyst of the teaching-learning process, fostering knowledge apprehension by the students, besides socio-emotional development and collaborative team spirit.

The study aims to identify and map the characteristics of the papers presented at the National Meeting of Research in Science Education (ENPEC) from 1997 to 2015 and in periodicals from the area of Education in Sciences from 2005 to 2015 that discuss the Scientific Literacy in the final years of Elementary School. We also aim to verify how this approach show up in Science Didactic Books in relation to arthropods.  The analyzed data present significant contributions   to Science Education, demonstrating the importanc of developing Scientific Literacy.  However, the quantity of academi and pedagogica productions are not so expressive, with   few   pproaches   to   promote   Scientific   Literacy   at   the   final   years   of Elementary School.

The article explores the role of Socialist Party (SP) in the organization of the agrarian movement within rural towns with rural population and a primary based economy. The time framework is located within the creation of the SP in National Territory of La Pampa and finishes with the dislocation of the Agrarian League because of state repression and the departure of “tertiary” farmers of the SP. We try to offer some elements to explain the expansion of socialism within a rural area, where leaders of the Agrarian League, who were in favor of this politics, consider it a great achievement and did not attack the national leadership point of view acritically. On the other hand, they analyzed with autonomy the reality of the SP and based their experiences to discuss fine issues, among them the relationship with unions.
