Resumen
In little more than six decades of theory and practice, development has become one of the most controversial and elusive concepts in its achievement. At first, there was the steady belief that solely economic development would result in a trickle-down effect of benefits to the entire society, further leading to modernity, democracy and social wellbeing. The lack of a fast, significant, equitable and sustainable reduction of poverty has increasingly dragged attention to collectivity, affective ties and cultural identity for bringing about inclusive development. This is a doctoral research in the development studies field focused on community ownership as a key variable for assessing the effectiveness of community development accompaniment processes. It had its basis in a case study research methodology- carried out in three communities (Tuara, Españolina and El Carao), a main outcome of this PhD thesis is a community ownership accompaniment model. This conceptual and methodological model is derived from the collective agency, social capital and participation theories.

Resumen
This essay discusses and puts in perspective the contribution of the University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast (URACCAN) born in the bowels of the Regional Autonomy, for sustaining a higher intercultural, relevant, quality, inclusive and respectful education of the human rights of women and men of indigenous, Afro-descendant and ethnic peoples in Abya Yala. Precisely, in the article there is a consideration on the responsibility assumed by URACCAN for more than two decades, to promote and articulate a new decolonizing paradigm of education aimed at ensuring access to Higher Education of sectors historically invisible and excluded from the possibility of sharing, practicing and revitalizing their traditions and customs, from the collectivity.

Resumen
Abstract
This article describes how the accompaniment process was developed in the indigenous territories, mainly the work with women, the main difficulties, achievements and challenges. The Community accompaniment supported by the University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast (URACCAN) through the Center for the Study and Information of Multiethnic Women (CEIMM). It has offered a promotion of attitude changes, in relation to the practice of gender equitable relationships, organization strengthening, leadership, women and peoples autonomy to create access to community coexistence, natural resources conservation, promotion of advocacy in public policies and intercultural dialogue. Likewise, to facilitate community communication and trust, with municipal, regional or national authorities for the empowerment of peoples and women. One of the concerns is the low level of active women participation in the different development processes of indigenous communities since, by history, there is no recognition of their capabilities.

Resumen
In this article, it is described the experiences of innovation in the training of mathematics teachers in multicultural contexts. It was a qualitative study with a perspective of grounded theory where a hermeneutical analysis of policies, laws, regulations, curricular programs, books, scientific articles, press articles and research, development and innovation projects that have contributed to the mathematics teachers training was carried out. The results have certified that the teachers training is a regional self-development strategy to respond to the conditions of poverty and marginalization of the indigenous, afro-descendant and mestizo peoples of Nicaragua. In addition, the technologies have contributed for the students to interact and exchange experiences in an innovative and collaborative learning environment. Finally, teaching and learning mathematics in multicultural contexts has meant the revitalization and implementation of mathematical practices of daily life in a learning community from an intercultural perspective of gender and the recognition of the diversity of populations, taking as a reference the resolution of problems.

Resumen
This keynote speech has addressed the slavery trade since the 15th and 16th centuries; the current migration of Africans to the United States is a fact, which it is criminalized and mediated by the journalistic media manipulation and the institutions of Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua States. The objective is to make a tour of the pages of history through a hermeneutics that reveals the scaffolding of corruption and destruction by monopolies and corrupt politicians of the localities from Africa and the very origin of capitalism in the imposition of slavery. Challenges are posed, such as the transformation of universities and the founding of Indigenous Intercultural Universities that, in support of Afro-descendant, indigenous and mestizo communities, in the construction of the foundations of decolonizing thought and the perspectives of self-sustainable and integral development

Resumen
In order to propose a methodology that responds to the new reality of territorial distribution of the Autonomous Region of the North Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua, the "Methodologies of territorial organization in RACCN, a contribution to the development with identity" is presented. This investigation had the Twi Waupasa Miskitu indigenous territory and the Mayangna Sauni Bas territory as a case study. The methodological research was from the paradigm of critical science, which seeks to understand reality, for further transformation. The field information of the target groups was dynamized, as well as the processes that have been developed in the territorial ordinances plans at national, regional and territorial spheres. The research was based on direct interviews, focus group, review of primary research, as well as the review of secondary bibliographies that support the theories proposed in the study. The studies of national Territorial Planning and Development have a departmental and municipal approach, and its methodology is comprised of five Stages based on the INETER, and seven methodological moments based on the New FISE-GIZ, which defined a specific methodology for the RACCN. The methodological proposal has 5 strategic moments (Prior, Free and Informed Consent Letter, participatory diagnosis, prospective and future model, presentation, agreement and approval and instrumentation and implementation) with its 41 actions. This proposal will contribute significantly to the indigenous territories and communities from RACCN, in the management, articulation, development, advocacy, governance, and thus respond to the paradigm of good living and live well of the indigenous peoples of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast.
