The objective of the present work was to perform a descriptive observational analysis of the current status and occurrence of cases of leptospirosis in the population of the canton of Portoviejo in the province of Manabí, Ecuador. In addition, the approach of future strategies that will be carried out to improve the prevention and control of the disease in animals and humans was developed. The incidence of cases of leptospirosis was determined by epidemiological weeks and years, in a time series that covered the 2014-2017 period. An analysis of the occurrence of cases was carried out, with the aim of describing the characteristics of their tendency, seasonality and the channel of habitual behavior. It is concluded that in the province of Manabí the incidence of leptospirosis in the human population is relatively low taking into account the number of inhabitants per canton. The highest number of outbreaks was recorded during 2014 and the increase in the number of cases is evident in the last period of 2017. The age group with the highest number of cases is 20 to 49 years old, with a predominance of females, during 2015. Leptospirosis manifests a seasonal behavior with greater occurrence in the months of February, March, April and June. The endemic pathway of the occurrence of leptospirosis in the studied territory is from one to six monthly cases; evidencing an increase in the occurrence during 2017 with several months in the alert zone.

The digitalization of the universities is one of the great challenges of the Ecuadorian university at present. The search of the quality in the higher education implies the achievement of transformations from the strategic perspective. For that reason, the CIOs must be prepared to take part to the decision-making team, which understands the business needs, proposes technological solutions that guarantee the generation of value.Over time, the lack of understanding of the needs of stakeholders, has led them to propose isolated and disconnected solutions, which have addressed the problems without doing a causal analysis. The present work seeks to motivate to CIOs of the higher education institutions of Ecuador to implement business architecture to propose strategic solutions and address the problems of the universities in an integral manner, articulating the strategic components of the business, Applications, data and technology through business architecture. The proposal from the TOGAF reference framework and its ADM methodology is add a list of reference frameworks, models, standards and good practices aligned to higher education. These referents should be adopt depending on the context the need of each institution in the environment in which they are applied. It is worth mentioning that in this work other tools and methods of the frame of reference have been omit, which should be adopt in the exercise of the business architecture.

When talking about social networks, all the advantages they offer to the user in terms of communication and interaction with the world are expressed, and it is also recognized that they are a source of extraction and use of data for various purposes, although some with illicit purposes. Social networks have become popular and people dedicate daily time to review the main notifications received, as well as communicate, publish, comment or place labels. The need to control privacy is fundamental, but the configurations that can be made to avoid it are not enough. The user posts messages that contain elements of natural language, but that are difficult to interpret by software. To perform a search for items considered private that are found in the published texts or that can be inferred by the total revision of the visible information published in the user's profile, it is necessary to process the text to clean it, normalize it and classify it. Private information can easily be inferred, just by associating the different textual publications that were shared by the user or another person. It is opportune to make use of text mining techniques to avoid the publication of private information in the profile that is shared with the group of friends of the social network.
