The Ica-Peru region has great agro-export potential in the country. It is a privileged region for this type of investment because of its quality of soil, climate, hours of sunshine and luminosity, which makes it very competitive; achieving high levels of productivity and quality in their crops. Employment in Ica grew at a level of 31% per month during the harvest periods dedicated to agricultural exports, achieving full employment, which has allowed its population to access higher levels of living and consumption. The overexploitation of aquifers in the project area has been identified as the central problem evidenced by the continuous descent of groundwater levels, a fact that is affecting groundwater reserves, and in some cases, the quality of them. In addition, the irrational and deficient use of groundwater has as indirect causes the informality in the exploitation of the aquifer.

The country has a commitment, which springs up in 2015 Paris Treaty, to reduce its emissions. Therefore, it must stop deforestation and accelerate a gradual change in the energy matrix, go efficiently towards clean energies and achieve sustainable decentralized growth. Governance and the capacity to face climate change are at stake: this is the urgency of a new energy policy. This effort must have strategic planning with short, medium and long term goals: Peru building its own energy transition. Peru faces a great challenge. A society that seeks its development must handle with extreme care and prudence the renewable and non-renewable natural resources within its reach, as well as the human factor and the cultural and social aspects linked to the management of resources. A first step in this task is environmental literacy and strategic planning in the formulation of public policies to promote sustainable growth of economic activities. In Peru, we need to empower people and articulate public social and economic policies, build links in favor of a healthy environment and sustainable development.

The Sanctuary of Pachacamac is a repository of memory for the ancient Andean world. However, is this memory comprehensive? How much has been forgotten, misunderstood? This essay reviews early chronicles and basic notions of Inca ontology thus proposing a revision to the possible types and hierarchies of pilgrims and oracles operating in the sanctuary, questioning the idea of one single oracle and one single kind of pilgrim. It also explains the alignment of its urban layout with respect to certain celestial bodies linked to the Inca calendar, and possible ceremonies performed in specially oriented buildings. This would support diagnosing and forecasting weather for agricultural purposes as well as water propitiation rituals.

The objective of this essay is to explain the causes, process and consequences of the Peasant Revolution led by Pedro Pablo Atusparia and Pedro Cochachin in 1885 against the indigenous tribute known as “The Republic” by which arbitrary free jobs were demanded to be performed by the members of the local communities. During the evolution, the political project of restoring the Tahuantinsuyo and creating the new Ancash region was expanded. The revolution did not prosper and its leaders were executed by firearm or poisoned to die tragically, immolating themselves as the most emblematic popular heroes of the 19th century. A series of paintings and images illustrate those events in our social history, making that tragedy more understandable wjich substantially affected the most excluded sectors of our society.

The transnational perspective has renewed in recent years the historiography on APRA, from problems and approaches that do not cover the issues of disputes between its defenders and detractors in Peru. This renewal has allowed to restore the dynamics of aprismo networks in the continent. This work seeks to contribute some more threads to the knowledge of these networks, through the political and intellectual itinerary of Francisco Capelli. This is the case of a militant who promoted the formation of an APRA union of students in the city of La Plata, Argentina, in the thirties, and then served as leader of the organization Fuerza de Orientación Radical de la Joven Argentina ( FORJA), where he became the Secretary General. This nationalist organization, detached from the trunk of the Radical Civic Union (UCR), was later incorporated into Peronism, and Capelli was part of the management of the government of the Province of Buenos Aires. The choice of this particular case requires a series of introductory clarifications, which are an excuse to reflect, also, on the place of the biographical account in the historiography on APRA.

The Andean Community (CAN by its abbreviation in Spanish), an international organization of supranational character is centered on people and regulated by Community Law. It was institutionalized almost 50 years ago. The process of Andean-Amazonian integration initiated more than 5000 years ago with Caral Civilization and occupies the territory of its Member Countries: Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. The Community territory in which more than 200 indigenous people live, whose traditional know-how is recognized by the CAN as part of the development of knowledge in science and technology, which is why its protection is incorporated in the Common Regime on Industrial Property, among other related supranational norms. The proposal is from the analysis of the case law of the Court of Justice of the CAN.
