This article offers a historical-structural approach to the determinants of the changes in the Spanish economy during the 1970-1980s’ crisis. It aims to identify the particularities that influenced the way the industrial restructuring process was carried in the Spanish case. The labor theory of value analytical approach enables us to elucidate the strictures that capitalists face to survive in a world economy where the law of value operates with ever fewer obstacles. Within the process of markets internationalization, the mode of state intervention in the economy changes substantially.

Considering information from three different databases that contain recent oficial data, this article shows how during the last years -starting with the dollarization of the national economy- the dominant reproduction pattern in Ecuador was not only sustained by oil and agricultural exports but also became more complex with the growth of other axes of accumulation, which are focused on the internal market: namely, the real-state and construction sector, manufacture, import and commerce on a great scale, communication and information technologies, and the financial sector. The article also highlights other aspects regarding the concentration of market power in each one of these sectors.

This paper reinterprets one of the most important passages of Capital: the «general law of capitalist accumulation», where contradiction between workers and capitalists causes cyclical dynamics in capital accumulation. To achieve the reinterpretation —similar to Richard Goodwin (1967) proposal— the determinants of capital accumulation and the rate of profit are identified, it is presented a description of the reserve army of labour and its functions, and both aspects are joined in a dynamical system whose simulation suggests the existence of capitalist cycles influenced by the tendency of the rate of profit to fall.

The article compares Marx’s labour theory of value with other theories of value, doing it in a non-exhaustive way but limited to a selection of the most relevant concepts. The article focuses on three of the concepts that characterize the neoclassical theory of value: utility, scarcity and the market interaction of demand and supply, to conclude that the ideas of the critics of the ltv are unable to build an alternative to the latter.

El uso de diccionarios es indispensable al momento de aprender una lengua extranjera. Sin embargo, las exposiciones teóricas sobre su empleo se restringen, usualmente, a una clase o a unas pocas páginas en los manuales de cátedra, además de focalizarse exclusivamente en diccionarios impresos. El presente estudio se propuso evidenciar la necesidad de una instrucción explícita y sostenida sobre diccionarios. Para esto se realizó un análisis crítico de dos diccionarios semibilingües en línea en relación a cómo presentan y organizan la información relativa a una estructura gramatical particular: los phrasal verbs. Los resultados demuestran que los diccionarios seleccionados difieren respecto a cómo presentan la información al usuario, como así también respecto al nivel de lengua extranjera que el usuario ha de tener. Se concluye, entonces, que desarrollar propuestas pedagógicas que incluyan el uso de diccionarios en línea ayudaría al alumno a desenvolverse de forma más eficiente al momento de realizar consultas en línea.  LEXICOGRAPHIC TREATMENT CONTRAST OF PHRASAL VERBS IN TWO ONLINE SEMIBILINGUAL DICTIONARIES USED BY UNIVERSITY STUDENTS OF READING COMPREHENSION IN ENGLISHABSTRACTKnowing how to consult dictionaries is of major importance when learninga foreign language. Nevertheless, professors’ explanations about their uselimit, in most cases, to a single class, a few pages in the course textbooks,and to printed dictionaries. This study aimed at demonstrating that an explicitand sustained instruction on dictionaries is utterly necessary. To this end,two online semibilingual dictionaries were analysed in relation to how theypresent and organise information regarding one particular grammaticalstructure: phrasal verbs. Results show that the two dictionaries selecteddiffer in connection with how they present the information to the user, andwith the knowledge of foreign language the user is required to have. It isconcluded, therefore, that designing pedagogical strategies for the use ofonline dictionaries may help students be more efficient when consultingonline resources.Key words: foreign language teaching; English for Specific Purposes;phrasal verbs; online dictionaries

El artículo desarrolla y destaca la relevancia que tiene la formacióndel profesional archivero en el ámbito universitario, para satisfacer lasnecesidades de la administración y de los usuarios de los distintos tiposde archivos (administrativos, intermedios y generales o históricos). Lareflexión es realizada desde una perspectiva de diseño curricular, tomandocomo elemento de análisis la conceptualización de la Práctica ProfesionalArchivística en tanto espacio curricular clave para la culminación de laformación técnica del profesional de la Archivología.Se analizan las propuestas curriculares vigentes en distintos ámbitosacadémicos de la República Argentina donde se dicta la carrera deArchivología, incluyendo la Tecnicatura Universitaria en Administración deDocumentos y Archivos que se dicta en la Universidad Nacional de La Riojadesde el año 2010 y enunciados de especialistas destacados en el tema,tomando como referencia la propuesta curricular vigente en la Escuela deArchivología de la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades de la UniversidadNacional de Córdoba, primera casa de altos de estudios donde comenzó adictarse la carrera en nuestro país. THE UNIVERSITY PROFESSIONAL IN THE ADMINISTRATIONOF THE 21ST CENTURY. REFLECTIONS ON THECONCEPTUALIZATION OF ARCHIVAL PROFESSIONALPRACTICE IN ARGENTINAABSTRACTThis paper develops and highlights the relevance of the training of the archivistprofessional in the university field to satisfy the needs of the administration andof the users of the different types of archives (administrative, intermediate andgeneral or historical archives). The reflection is carried out from a curriculardesign perspective, taking as an element of analysis the conceptualization ofthe Archival Practical Practice as a key curriculum unit for the culmination ofthe technical training of Archivology proffesionals.The paper will also analyze current curricular proposals of different Argentinianacademic institutions where Archivology is taught. This includes the curricularproposals of the Documents and Archives Administration associate programoffered by Universidad Nacional de La Rioja since 2010, and statementsof outstanding specialists in the subject. Similarly, the paper will take asreference the current curricular proposal of Escuela de Archivología inFacultad de Filosofía y Humanidades of Universidad Nacional de Córdoba,which is the first institution in which such programs are taught. Key words: Curricular design; academic training; archival practice;professional exercise.

Para Jan Scholte (2000), el comienzo de la globalización a gran escalatiene lugar a partir de los ‘60; caracterizada por la intensidad y el impactode las relaciones sociales supra-territoriales, la globalización, entendidaprincipalmente como un fenómeno en Occidente, fue el resultado del augedel capitalismo y el notable avance de las comunicaciones, factores que sedieron simultáneamente en varios países, entre ellos, y quizás con un mayorprotagonismo, en Estados Unidos. Asimismo, como parte del fenómeno dela globalización, durante la década del sesenta, Estados Unidos y el mundoevidenciaron una gran revolución cultural motivada por el idealismo y laprotesta: un idealismo que perseguía la igualdad y que promocionaba lalucha; y una protesta que se rebelaba contra las injusticias y desigualdades.Será el objetivo del presente trabajo explorar el modo en que el nuevoparadigma de la igualdad se manifestó en Estados Unidos. Para ello, seanalizará la lucha por los derechos civiles de los negros, por la reivindicaciónde los derechos de los pueblos nativos y por la promoción de igualdad deoportunidades en el caso del estado de bienestar, como claros ejemplos deeste paradigma en el país del norte. CULTURAL REVOLUTION AND GLOBALIZATION: THE EQUALITY PARADIGM IN THE SIXTIES IN THE UNITED STATESABSTRACTAccording to Scholte (2000), even though the forces of globalizationmade earlier appearances, full-scale globalization is mostly a post-1960sphenomenon. Characterized by the strength and impact of supraterritorialsocial relations, globalization, understood mainly as a Western phenomenon,was the product of the rise of capitalism and the advances in communications,factors that developed simultaneously in many countries, and maybewith more impetus in the United States. As part of this phenomenon ofglobalization, during the sixties, America and the world evinced a greatcultural revolution motivated by idealism and protest: an idealism thatpursued equality and promoted rebellion, and a protest that cried out againstinjustices and inequalities. The purpose of this paper is to explore the way inwhich the equality paradigm has developed in the United States. To this end,blacks’ civil rights movement, the vindication of Native American rights andthe promotion of equal opportunities through social welfare programs will beanalyzed as clear examples of this paradigm in America.Keywords: globalization, the United States, Cultural Revolution, equality

Los pensadores de la denominada Escuela de Frankfurt, que emigraron aEstados Unidos de América durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, tuvieron unencuentro de dos tradiciones filosóficas que provocó, entre otras cuestiones,la reflexión en torno a los productos culturales. En este sentido, TheodorAdorno durante la década de 1960 piensa en torno al surgimiento de lacultura de masas como producto social sintetizador entre la cultura “culta”y la “popular”. Dicho autor sostiene que la cultura de masas ha absorbidotodas las expresiones culturales en la cultura de masas.FROM POPULAR CULTURE TO MASS CULTURE: PERSPECTIVES FROM CRITICAL THEORYABSTRACTThe thinkers of the Frankfurt School that emigrated to the United Statesof America during the II World War faced two philosophical traditions thatprovoked, among other issues, reflection upon the cultural products. In thissense, Theodor Adorno in the 1960s reflects upon the emergence of themass culture seen as a social product that synthesises “high” and “popular”culture. La presente investigación proporciona un acercamiento jurídico normativo al concepto de soberanía alimentaria como derecho humano y, a su vez, obligación de los Estados. Se aborda su surgimiento dentro del ordenamiento jurídico convencional. Se muestra la influencia de esta noción dentro del contexto constitucional ecuatoriano, tanto en los derechos del buen vivir, como en el régimen de desarrollo. Por último, se realiza un acercamiento a esta figura dentro del contexto del derecho comparado, con las legislaciones de Paraguay y Bolivia. En definitiva, este trabajo constituye un estudio documental dentro de una óptica jurídica de tipo eminentemente descriptivo con componentes analíticos.
