Due to COVID-19, many countries have banned mass gatherings, including face-to-face classes at all educational levels. To avoid losing the academic year, educational institutions opted for distance education in multiple variants: traditional distance education, with virtual environments, b-learning, and e-learning. The Hermilio Valdizán National University, located in the province and region of Huánuco, Peru, opted for online education or e-learning. This modality disrupted the pedagogical practices and the usual coexistence of the students, which is why the article aims to interpret the nature of the coexistence experienced by students of the Hermilio Valdizán National University during virtual classes, due to social confinement by COVID-19, from a phenomenological-hermeneutical perspective. Consistent with the qualitative methodological perspective, the information was collected through in-depth interviews with university students, from which the following categories emerged: Virtual classes: new experience, new challenges; coexistence in virtual classes; the interpersonal relationships of introverted students; "looking into the eyes of the interlocutor" during virtual classes; physical and psychological health in virtual classes; virtuality, security in dangerous times. In conclusion, virtual classes depersonalize communication and modify students' sensitivity, the conception of the world, the notion of time and space and, above all, the interrelation with others.   Keywords: peaceful coexistence, interpersonal relationships, distance education, university, classroom, COVID-19.

In Mexico there is a very heterogeneous panorama on productivity, which is reflected in one of the fundamental sectors of the economy, the manufacturing industry. Since, world-class companies coexist with a cluster of companies whose economies of scale present low productivity due to technological backwardness, which translates into a low growth rate of companies. This paper aims to identify the productive dynamics of the sources of growth in the central region in the manufacturing industry. The methodology used is based on a couple of instruments: The Solow Residual with an empirical model based on a Cobb-Douglas type function to determine the evolution of total factor productivity (TFP). Additionally, the sunrise/sunset diagrams are used to establish the contributions of each entity to the region's TFP. The results confirm growth of 0.12 in the TFP for the region throughout the period, the deconcentration of manufacturing activities in both the central region and Mexico City; so, it is concluded they ceased to be the largest nucleus industry of the country, which has implied a lower dynamism of the TFP at the national level and a decrease in the contribution of manufactures to the economic development of the country. Likewise, the performance presented by the entities of the central region registers inefficient levels; Mexico City being the great "loser," as it has decreased in TFP, and with this, has reduced its contribution and importance in Mexican manufacturing drastically.   Keywords: total factor productivity, central region, Mexico, manufacturing, sunrise/sunset diagrams.

Content curation is applicable in various areas of knowledge, such as communication, library and information science, education, and computer science. In these fields, frequent investigations address healing in certain sectors, such as the media or social networks. However, there is an epistemic vacuum related to curation applied to scientific publications. Based on this, this article exposes a first oncoming to an approach scarcely treated in the bibliography, such as considering and analyzing the scientific article as a content curation product. In this sense, it is proposed as an objective: to develop an analysis scheme that allows characterizing the dimension of content curation in academic communication. Methodologically, an exploratory study is presented referring to a first taxonomy of analysis of curation in scientific articles, based on parameters such as volume, time range, origin, and content formats, as well as techniques and integration of curation, which are grouped under the dimensions of Content and Curation. For the taxonomy application, articles from the journals Comunicar and Profesional de la información are selected due to their notoriety in the field of Ibero-American communication and their international projection. It is concluded that this taxonomy allows the analysis of curation in academic communication; it also improves the understanding of the processes that underlie the scientific article and values the usefulness of content curation in its elaboration and publication.   Keywords: content curation, information curation, scientific papers, scholarly communication, taxonomies.

Socio-economic tastes of urban and rural reality television (Reality TV) viewers appear diverse and may account for divergent lifestyles, especially concerning media exposure. This article investigated comparatively the viewership levels of Reality TV shows by urban and rural dwellers in Rivers State, Nigeria, using Who Wants to be a Millionaire as a fulcrum of analysis and discussion. Relevant data were gathered from 387 respondents, using a questionnaire that was designed, validated, and randomly administered in Port Harcourt Local Government Area (PHALGA), Obio-Akpor Local Government Area (OBALGA), and Emuoha Local Government Area (EMULGA), which were purposively selected as PHALGA and OBALGA constituted the cosmopolitan areas while EMULGA was regarded as a rural setting in Rivers State of Nigeria. Using Motivational Theory and the Entertainment-Education (EE) concept, the article employed quantitative and qualitative methods to examine the perception of reality television (Reality TV) by urban and rural dwellers and the influence the programme has on them. Data generated were analyzed and revealed that there was a significant difference in urban and rural viewership patterns of reality television. During the last decades, the evolution of urban areas and the dynamism of economic activity worldwide has caused housing demands to proliferate in these areas; and therefore, there is greater growth of residential villages, businesses, and industries, generating as a consequence the decrease in outdoor spaces, intended for meetings, cultural identity, exchange, sports, among other activities, especially affecting the quality of life of third-class people, who must travel through spaces that now present certain obstacles or generate imbalances in the environment. Therefore, this research examines public spaces designed for older adults in times of Covid-19. Case: Panorama Avenue-Mexico. The latter being the sector under study. A documentary, interpretive methodology was used, based on Royal Decree 505/2007, which allowed determining the accessibility characteristics of the area under study for the elderly; obtaining; as a result, the area free of pedestrian access as well as the dimensions of the benches do not correspond to what is established in the standard. Therefore, it is recommended to develop a restructuring project for public spaces that make them more accessible to the elderly and contribute to their well-being, especially in times of pandemic.   Keyword: Public spaces, Covid-19, pandemic, older adults, quality of life.
