This work aims to establish the basis of what in the future will be the Hispanic Dictionary of the Classical Tradition (DHTC). The entries of this dictionary will be conducted from two criteria: (a) fundamental concepts and methods of the classical tradition, from initial positivity to new theories about the text, and (b) names of modern scholars who have resulted in its history and development.

Nowadays the environment is an aspect that is taken into account in every field given its continuous deterioration over the years due to not only natural but also anthropogenic factors. The scope of the economy also has a great impact on the environment, especially in the life cycle of any product that enters the market, since natural resources are used for its manufacture and then, when consumed, it becomes a waste; both parts of the process having an impact on the environment. With the growing depletion of natural resources and the increase of environmental pollution by the constant generation of waste, we now try to bring the present linear economy to become a circular economy where the product does not become a waste if it is not reused or recycled and in this way it can be used to generate new products. In this way, in order to study and know how the transition to this change can be made when the economy has been developing in this way for so many years, it is explained how there are various mechanisms and measures that can lead to this transition to happen. a gradual and adequate form, including the economic instruments and especially the legal norms which regulate the polluting behavior, not prohibiting it in its entirety but modifying it. In this article we analyze how legal instruments, in this case concentrating on tax law norms, can help to fulfill the objective of the circular economy package within Spanish territory specifically in the reduction of waste generation. Spain has legislation on waste management since the Constitution establishes the right to a healthy environment. In it, the competences of the State and the Autonomous Communities are established on the measures to be taken on environmental protection. The Waste and Soils Pollutants Law details how the national and regional policies and plans on waste management should be prepared. It is here where it is stipulated which autonomous communities have the power to elaborate fiscal norms and establish any financial stipulation to be able to carry out this waste management and how local entities can develop fiscal incentives or subsidies to those who practice the desired conducts favorable to the environment.

This study aims to explore the educational potential of the centers for Environmental Education (CEE, henceforth) to increase awareness of the value of landscapes, their role and changes to them. Firstly, it argues how landscapes may positively contribute to Environmental Education. Secondly, it suggests some guidelines to increase landscape awareness on the CEE. Finally, it presents the results of implementing a learning activity, named “Discovering landscapes!”. This educational activity was carried out in Sendaviva (a CEE located in the south of Navarra, Spain) and involved 7- to 15-year-old children. Results allowed verifying the educational potential of the CEE to increase landscape awareness, as well as detecting children’ stereotyped conceptions of landscape.

One of the issues of greatest concern at the global level is the overpopulation of the planet. In recent years the population has grown exponentially and it is expected that in future the number of people inhabiting the planet will continue to increase. This situation poses a threat to food security; according to official agencies, it will be necessary to increase food production by at least 50% by 2050. To achieve this there are several possibilities: increase the area devoted to crops, increase their intensity or increase yield. The objective of this article is to investigate whether transgenic can be the solution to guarantee the Food Security. For this, the advantages of these products are analyzed in different areas, but especially in agriculture and livestock. However, there is a strong rejection of these foods for several reasons. These include the potential risk to health, loss of biodiversity and, above all, the monopoly of large companies that control the agricultural sector. After analyzing various sources of information and existing legislation on genetically modified organisms, it is concluded that genetically modified organisms are not good or bad in themselves; genetic engineering is an instrument that, properly regulated and used, it can contribute to reducing food insecurity, present and future.
