Resumen
Objective: To analyze the temporal dynamics of coccidioide mycosis in Mexico, during the period between 2004-2015 in the context of its socio-environmental determinants and to identify its actual distribution in the national territory by means of the construction of geographical concentration indicators. Methods: An exploratory analysis of data was made from micro data on hospital discharges in the period 2004-2015. In theoretical terms, this research is located in the paradigm on social and environmental determinants of public health conditions. Results: The time evolution during 11 years of analyzed information allows to identify a persistent pattern in the concentration of cases, which mainly affects four states in the country, with a clear burden for the male population. The state of Sonora was identified as the entity with the highest incidence in Mexico, an entity that determines the environmental factors analyzed and the need to implement preventive public policies. Conclusions: Given the temporal evolution of hospital discharges due to coccidioid mycosis in Mexico and the environmental link of the disease, the evidence obtained represents an opportunity to intervene through control strategies focused on specific territories, with the State of Sonora being a priority site of attention.

Resumen
The maps constitute an instrument for the knowledge and the management of the territory, nevertheless its incursion in the study of the nutrition is recent. Objective: The objective of this work was to explore and describe the spatial distribution of child malnutrition in urban and rural areas of the department of Yerba Buena, Tucumán, Argentina. Methods: An exploratory, cross-sectional ecological study was perform, where the minimum geostatistical unit of census aggregation (census radio) was analyzed. Results: Indicators of malnutrition, undernutrition and excess weight were developed and spatialized in the school aged population evaluated during the period 2014-15. The bottom-up analysis on small scales allowed determining the percentage, intensity and typology in each geographical unit, illustrating the territorial disparities of the anthropometric parameters. This work constitutes an approach to the study of child malnutrition from a geographic perspective. Conclusions: The high descriptive value of the cartography will allow advancing in the knowledge of the spatial distribution of the nutritional status in different population. GIS are useful tools that facilitate the understanding of the epidemiological profile of events in the health of individuals, which can be used in the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies

Resumen
The objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of depression in men and women older than 60 to 103 years in Mexico from the results of the National Survey of Health and Aging. The methodology used was a type of test expo facto, non-experimental, transactional, correlational, in which, through a binomial logistic regression model, the prevalence of depression was determined in the 5275 people of an age range of 60 to 103 years. of age Among the main results, it was found that there is a prevalence of depression in people over 74.3% (1734 older men and 2186 women). In addition, it was evidenced that variables such as age, schooling, marital status, level of somatization, occupation and social activities are statistically associated with the onset of depression in older people. The study concludes that the personal, structural, economic, social and health risk factors analyzed in this study act differently when talking about men and women.

Resumen
Objetive: Identify the percentage of households whose out-of-pocket expenditures turn out to be a financial catastrophe (thirty to forty percent of household income). Methods: The World Bank's Research and Development Group Equity and Financial Protection module ADePT software is used along with a series of programmable routines that replicate the catastrophic expenditure analysis methodology of the study developed by Knaul, Wong, and Arreola-Ornelas (2012). Results: The incidence of catastrophic expenditure increased slightly from 0.6 percent of households in 2004 to 0.8 percent in 2013. Conclusions: The incidence of catastrophic health expenditure in Costa Rican households is not a problem for the Costa Rican health system, but the concern should be issue targeted.

Resumen
Interactive Group Nutritional Education is a process by which the participants not only transform their own thinking and habits but also take actions to change their environment; it promotes the adoption of healthy lifestyles and adherence to treatments for chronic diseases, which significantly improves quality of life. The author explains the epistemological foundation of constructs and the educational method she developed using elements of the constructivist learning theory and critical pedagogy. This method has been evolving and refined for more than 20 years at the School of Nutrition of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Costa Rica, and it has been proven effective in achieving better adherence to treatment because it produces changes in attitudes due to the internalization by participants of their own resources and motivations for change. This paper was produced as part of Project Pry01-1366-2016 of the University of Costa Rica.
