Resumen
In this work we reported the characterization of the (CuInTe2)1-x (Cu3-BV- Te4)x (BV: Nb, Ta y x = 1/10, 1/5, 1/3, 1/2 y 2/3, alloys system using the techniques Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), X- Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA). Alloys system was prepared by fusion and annealing direct fulfilling the rule of Grimm-Sommerfeld. The work is based on the thermograms of the CuInTe2 and Cu3NbTe4 compounds that were previously measured and incorporated in the phase diagrams for the system (CuInTe2)1-x (Cu3-MT-Te4) at x = 0 and x = 1; with the intention of obtaining the best information of the phases from x = 0 to x = 1. In these phase diagrams of the alloy family, we obtained in the concentration ranges, the following phases: in 0 < x < 0,1, the phase type chalcopyrite, for 0 < x < 0,9 two phases, sulvanita and chalcopyrite and for 0,9 < x < 1, the sulvanita phase. The solubility of the sulvanita Cu3NbTe4 in the chalcopyrite is of the approximately 10 % like solubility of the CuInTe2 in the sulvanita. This little solubility did impossible to increase to the breach of energy for the family chalcopyrite.

Resumen
Point stochastic processes represent a very useful tool for the analysis of hazard factors in wildfire. In this article, the occurrence of wildfire is studied from a spatial-temporal Poisson process, in which the intensity function thereof is considered as a wildfire hazard characterization based on parametric and non-parametric techniques. Finally, it is considered a set of real data, provided by the Ministerio del Poder Popular para el Ambiente from Instituto Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrologia (INAMEH) of Venezuela, relating to widlfire produced on a particular day. The hazard functions are estimated based on the proposed model and wildfire hazard maps are generated, which are adjusted to the geographical and climatic characteristics of the country.

This review presents the achievements of UCLA’s Production Engineering Program after ten years of having started it, in which a total of 205 professionals have graduated, who have trained in different areas of application for the productive sector. The same part of the historical overview of the program, covering the profile and competencies that are achieved in the development of the program, as well as its relationship with the productive sector and the future challenges that are presented.

Resumen: El conocimiento de la biología reproductiva es esencial para la conservación y el manejo de las especies. Sin embargo, existen escasos estudios sobre el tema para el molusco terrestre cubano Caracolus sagemon (Solaropsidae). Los objetivos del presente trabajo son describir la conducta de apareamiento y su ciclo diario, determinar el tiempo invertido en la cópula, caracterizar el ciclo anual de apareamiento y su interacción con variables meteorológicas, así como caracterizar los substratos y estratos de apareamiento de C. sagemon. Los individuos estudiados pertenecen a una población introducida, en Velasco, provincia Holguín. El trabajo de campo se condujo semanalmente entre enero 2012 y febrero 2014, en una parcela fija de 20 m2. Cada muestreo semanal consistió en observar el comportamiento de los individuos cada hora por un lapso de 48 h. Los apareamientos se dividieron en tres fases: cortejo, cópula y post-cópula. El tiempo invertido en la cópula promedió anualmente 168 min. Por otro lado, el ciclo diario de apareamientos se inició usualmente entre las 17-22 h con un patrón unimodal. En la mayoría de los meses se detectaron apareamientos, excepto en diciembre, febrero y marzo. No obstante, la amplitud del ciclo anual de apareamientos fue mayor en el 2013. En este año el porcentaje mensual de cópulas se correlacionó positivamente con el número de días lluviosos y la temperatura media mensual. La mayoría de las parejas copularon sobre la especie vegetal Euphorbia lactea, en los estratos vegetales cercanos al suelo.

Abstract: Knowledge of reproductive biology is essential for the conservation and management of species. However, it has been scarcely studied in the Cuban land snail Caracolus sagemon. The aims of the present study are to describe mating behaviour and its daily cycle, to determine the investment of time in copulation, to characterize the mating annual cycle and its relationship with meteorological variables, and to characterize the preferred substrata for mating of C. sagemon. The snails belong to a population that has been introduced to a site in Velasco, Holguín province. The field work was carried out weekly from January 2012 to February 2014, on a fixed 20 m2 plot. In each occasion, observations were made each hour during a 48 h. period. Mating was divided into three stages: courtship, copulation and post-copulation. The annual mean for the duration of copulation was 168 min. The daily cycle of mating usually started between 17-22 h with a unimodal pattern. We detected mating pairs most months except December, February and March. The amplitude of the mating annual cycle was widest in 2013 when the monthly percentage of copulation pairs correlated positively with the number of rainy days and monthly mean temperatures. The most mating couples were usually found close to the soil on Euphorbia lactea.

Resumen
Cities are built spaces that have modified environmental elements such as soil and vegetation, they come from a physical origin included within the landscape, which is more sensitive to the extent that urban layout and infrastructure have evolved. In addition, they have consolidated local socioeconomic activities. The study of urban vulnerability starts from the theoretical-conceptual process of global vulnerability, derived from the risk represented by tropical cyclones in the population. This paper proposes an evaluation of the vulnerability caused by tropical cyclones in cities at risk of facing the impact of an event, located in continuous traffic corridors; through the construction of indicators grouped into four dimensions: environmental, social, economic and urban, and infrastructure.

The Mexico City’s earthquakes occurred in 1985 caused severe damage to the urban complexes “Presidente Juárez” y “Nonoalco-Tlatelolco”. The aim of this manuscript is to delve into the vulnerability and resilience concepts taking into account the “Presidente Juárez” and “Nonoalco-Tlatelolco” urban complexes. Based on qualitative indicators, two time-points were considered for comparison purposes: 1985 and 2017. The major questions underpinning this study are the following: how vulnerable and resilient are these urban complexes nowadays regarding 1985? And how relevant are the vulnerability and resilience concepts when a disaster study is carried out? From the construction of qualitative indicators and their synchronic and diachronic analysis it was found that both urban groups are now less vulnerable and more resilient than they were in 1985. Because city is located in a seismic zone, it is necessary to know the extent of the central concepts vulnerability and resilience to the study of risk and disaster

Resumen
En varios municipios de Colombia, el déficit habitacional se incrementó como resultado de la ola invernal de 2010, razón por la cual el Gobierno Nacional creó el Fondo Adaptación. En este artículo se describen los aspectos técnicos, administrativos y contractuales que se reflejaron en la reconstrucción de Guapi. El aporte de la empresa privada es fundamental para el desarrollo de las comunidades y se requiere el apoyo estatal para obtener permisos de ingreso de materiales y para garantizar el acceso con el fin de proteger el patrimonio económico de aquellos que aceptan el reto de la ejecución de este tipo de proyectos localizados fuera de los centros de desarrollo del país.
