Resumen
The information society is built upon an important technological ground. Its operation requires an IT infrastructure that has been growing during the last decades. In parallel, climate change looms over the future of the planet as a disturbing threat, which demands a social and political response. The widespread perception about technology considers that its environmental impact is scarce. This paper discusses this perception, completing for this purpose a bibliographical review about the negative effects that technological production, consumption and waste produce on the environment in which our societies are developed: this issue has received scant attention to date from the Academe.

Resumen
The research analyzes the issues related to the LGTBI community, and within them the treatment of the homoparental family in Cuba, in order to unveil the traits that characterize it in the Cuban audiovisual production, and the socio-cultural and legal factors that determine it. Throught this results, the study proposes an approach to the production process of the documentary Yes, I do, realized in the Journalism career of the University of Havana; that develops its audiovisual discourse with an inclusive gender construction, to promote a public debate about the rights of the homoparental family, traditionally invisible in media content and cultural industries in Cuba and other parts of the world.

This article addresses how and why the debate on information and communication in Unesco was ended with the "new communication strategy"" promoted by Federico Mayor Zaragoza, after the United States of America and the United Kingdom withdraw in 1985 and 1986, respectively. The author describes the crisis of 1984 using two great novels of the twentieth century: The Process, by Franz Kafka and 1984, by George Orwell. He concludes by saying that the first statements by Donald Trump's ambassador to the UN suggest a new blackmail by US conservatives to the United Nations system."

Resumen
This article presents the results of an investigation about the possibilities of urban communication for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the dynamics of Colombian cities. To this end, semi-structured interviews were conducted with public officials and foundations for persons with disabilities; In addition, discussion groups were held with disabled citizens. As a result, it was possible to determine that communication contributes to the inclusion of persons with disabilities as the city is a symbolic space and not only physical, so initiatives should be considered so that public spaces are constructed from shared meanings.

Resumen
The present work deals with cinema within the framework of cultural industries. The account of the policies implemented in the sector in Argentina in the last ten years, a tour of the set of measures that make up the actions of the State and its effect, evaluation in terms of production, distribution and exhibition of films in the national market. There is also a schema of positive dimensions and some components still unresolved by these policies in the process of the convergent context.
