The objectives of the study were to understand the employability of the graduates from a Physical Education course with emphasis on health training from the perspective of the Unified Health System and to analyze the relationship between this insertion and the interdisciplinary and interprofessional training proposed by the institution – in this case, the Federal University of São Paulo – Baixada Santista Campus , São Paulo, Brazil. For that, in 2012, an exploratory qualitative research was developed, which analyzed part of the database of a study that aimed to evaluate the interprofessional education project in the health training program of the institution. From the total sample of this research (107 volunteers), 15 graduates from the Physical Education course, formed in the 1st and 2nd classes, were included in the study. Data analysis was performed by a posteriori categories. The results showed that the graduates were inserted in areas common to Physical Education (gymnastic academies, personal trainer, physical evaluation, among others), in postgraduation and, less frequently, in the Unified Health System environment. It is concluded that the employability of Physical Education professionals in the Unified Health System is still small, even for a course with this emphasis.

The goals of this article are to summarize the characteristics of the Brazilian scientific production regarding the activities performed by the professionals of the Family Health Support Centers, to analyze the content of those activities, and to identify the facilitating and hindering aspects in the teams’ work process. We performed a review of the literature published between 2008 and 2015 in the SciELO e LILACS electronic databases. The results evince the prevalence of qualitative studies that describe the activities performed by specific professionals, particularly the user embracement, the care and the rehabilitation, with the actions of promotion of health, prevention, protection and vigilance, planning, programming, control, evaluation and management being less expressive. The training and permanent education actions are the least discussed actions. Among the facilitating aspects are proactivity and good interprofessional relationship, and among the hindering aspects are the persistence of the biomedical model within the Health of the Family field, the precarious working conditions, and the lack of support on the part of the management. We noticed a tendency to reproduce the hegemonic care perspective within the Health of the Family Support Centers, to the detriment of a process of change geared towards the comprehensiveness of care.

This article aims to analyse the effectiveness of a course in aging and health of elderly people as part of the implementation of the Brazilian National Elderly Health Policy (PNSPI), from the perception of health professionals egressed from the course. A self-responded electronic questionnaire was applied from July to October 2015, answered by 414 in 1,561 egresses. The outcome variable to measure the course effectiveness was the improvement in the performance of egresses in at least five in ten activities related to health of elderly as provided for in PNSPI. There was improvement in all PNPSI activities varying between 1.3 to 2.6 times pre and post course. Professional background, time working with elderly health and actual implementation of learning from the course were the aspects that explained better the improvement in PNSPI activities (trough logistic regression model). The course proved have been effective for the implementation of PNSPI activities, showing the potential of continuing education to enforce public policies.

The objective was to analyze the conditions in which the libraries of the institutions of training of technical workers in health of the African countries of Portuguese official language within the framework of the International Network of Education of Health Technicians. Data collection was carried out through field research based on the application of questionnaires to workers responsible for libraries or educational institutions. The results showed that most of the workers in the libraries had no specific training for the activity; the available stock revealed a disparity in the types and quantities of materials, besides being presented in languages other than Portuguese; physical resources were insufficient, as were the space and location of libraries; technological resources lacked improvement, including access to the internet. It was concluded that the conditions of the libraries surveyed were insufficient to support the training of the workforce at a technical level, as well as to subsidize the teaching activity, since, in addition to insufficient and outdated works available, there was precariousness in facilities, furniture and equipments.

The internship in nursing represents the consolidation of practice and theory applied in the reality of health services, and improving it is a constant target of curricular discussions. The purpose of this study was to describe the history of the internship in nursing at a public university in northern Paraná state, Brazil, and to publicize the achievements made and challenges faced in the training of nurses. This was a historical and documentary research project with a qualitative approach carried out in the year 2013. The internship in nursing was built based on the integration of national changes and the social and political influences faced by public universities. It should be emphasized that the university plays an important role as a trainer of professionals who, from the conception of the internships, are involved in discussions on and in the planning of the praxis to potentiate innovative methodologies and to value the internship fields. The internship in nursing in question underwent several challenges over the years in the pursuit of educational and health system precepts, and it reached effectiveness, as confirmed by the players involved.

A heuristic weighting methodology is formulated to classify the susceptibility to chemical weathering in the Caplina basin from two approaches: hydrogeochemical and geological morphometric. The main objective was to study the hydrological recharge of an arid basin with differential chemical weathering of geological formations in contact due to the salinization of water flow. The parameters in the morphometric approach were analyzed in two proposed indices: (1) historical reload, from the parameters of shape and hypsometric curve; (2) runoff speed with low slopes (3-12 %), drainage density < 0.8 km-1. According to their morphometry, the Caplina and Magollo sub-basins are more susceptible to chemical weathering in the Caplina basin. For the validation of the methodology, the inventory of hydrochemical samples of the Peruvian Geological Service (Ingemmet) was used. The resulting classification of weights determined about 80 % of underground and surface sources in the basin are predominantly salinized in hydrogeological units of high and medium susceptibility to weathering. The final map generated at a scale of 1:500 000 identifies two hydrogeological units with high susceptibility to weathering: (1) fissured aquifers with hydrothermal alteration, in the Chachacumane, Chulluncane, Huilacollo, Volcánico Barroso formations, contributing calcium sulfate trends in 41.2 % of the total samples; (2) intrusive aquitards, in the Yarabamba and Challaviento formations, which influence the oxidation of sulfides in the hydrochemistry of 17.6 % of the samples. Likewise, aquitards of the volcanic origin of medium susceptibility to weathering are identified, with a considerable sodium contribution in 20.6 % of the study samples.

Knowledge of the water balance of lagoons, surface, and underground basins is essential not only to use water resources more rationally in space and time but also to improve their control and redistribution.       The La Picasa lagoon basin is an inter-jurisdictional endorheic basin in the Argentine Republic at the intersection of Córdoba, Santa Fe, and Buenos Aires provinces. This basin has recently gone through recurrent floods caused by an increase in the level of the lagoon, which has affected infrastructure, transport, and agricultural activity.       In the present work, a lagoon-scale approach is proposed. For the topo-bathymetric study, the lagoon's Digital Elevation Model (DEM) was defined using data collection, fieldwork, and data processing. In contrast, a 0D water balance model was developed in the hydrological study. Based on these two models, the rainfall excesses that impacted the lagoon were analyzed and quantified for evacuation through gravity discharge, a pumping system, or a combination of both systems.       The main objective was to define a 0D water balance model that represents the La Picasa lagoon and then uses it as a tool to evaluate future hydrological situations that may occur.

This paper shows a geoelectric exploration of the southwest sector of the Interserrana Basin, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Due to the relative scarcity of regional studies carried out in the zone, a more detailed understanding of its geological structures and aquifers makes an important contribution to addressing environmental and productivity challenges. The objective is to obtain a depth section of the resistive hydrogeological basement. To meet our objective, we developed a model consisting of the 1D inversion of 49 Schlumberger VES, distributed uniformly along a 139 km route. The inversion process was performed with specific software which implements Zohdy's algorithm (Zohdy, 1989) for the solution of direct and inverse problems. The transition from the 49 one-dimensional inverted profiles to a continuous section was carried out using a machine learning interpolation technique. An uncertainty analysis is also presented, which revealed a correspondence between this feature and the depth obtained for the resistive basement. This trend allowed us to establish a reliability criterion at each true basement-depth value. Finally, we offer a geological interpretation of our results and their correspondence with previous geological research.
