Resumen
The genus Pseudoboletia was recently reported off coast of Brazil (Trindade-Martin Vaz insular complex). This study reports the first record of this genus to southern of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina coasts. Morphological and molecular data showed that sea urchins from Brazil and São Tomé are the same species, genetically distinct of individuals from Indo-Pacific. However, taxonomic identity of Brazilian species remains as a challenge. Two hypotheses to explain the recent records of this species on Brazilian coast are discussed: a recent natural invasion by long-distance dispersal and a recent population expansion in the Brazilian coast after absence or low density period. Resumen
The starfish Phataria unifascialis is widely distributed in the eastern cost of the Pacific Ocean, found on rocky bottoms, at depths between 0 and 50 m. The original description of P. unifascialis made by Gray in 1840 was brief and inaccurate in some important aspects, such as distribution area, plate arrangement and ambulacral spines. Here, we improve the description of P. unifascialis with SEM images and description of its mesodermal skeleton on the basis of a large sample. Rev. Biol. Trop. 65(Suppl. 1): S258-S271. During exploratory sampling in te Altata Ensenada del Pabellon system (24030' N - 107050' W), one of the largest coastal lagoons of western Mexico, located approximately 50 km southwest of Culiacan, Sinaloa, several samples of species of decapod crustaceans were obtained. To of these were immediately recognized as new distribution records for the a Carapace width (c.w.) of collected specimens is provided.

Resumen
Soft-bottom benthic abundance data were aggregated from genera to phylum and the effect of such aggregation in the detection of a depth related pattern explored. It was found that at least for this data set, the aggregation has no effect, the pattern being clear across the taxonomic aggregations. If this is a general feature of tropicaI soft-bottom rapid assessments, for instance in the case of quick surveys or pollution events, would be possible.

ABSTRACTIntroduction: Cuban Higher Education and in particular Higher Education for Health Sciences are involved in a process of improvement in order to develop the relevance and quality of their graduates, where learning to learn is essential. Objective: to socialize the results of the applied survey to verify that university students learn how to learn in the light of the new changes in Higher Education.Method: the analysis was based on the application of a survey with a reliability index of 0.969, and on the results of a descriptive analysis using the means, standard deviation and the correlation between the different indicators. Results: the students surveyed provided high scores to each of the indicators, showing that university students, particularly those of the Health Sciences, learn how to learn from their first academic year. Conclusion: regardless of whether university students master their individual learning strategies, professors should be mediators between the acquisition of knowledge and skills regarding learning to learn.

Resumen
Spanish women’s participation in the labour market has increased by almost 20% in the last 30 years. A more detailed data analysis shows differentiated traits between male and female participation, which indicates fewer females present, greater temporal and sectorial discontinuity, and more precarious job posts and, consequently, a stronger possibility of occupying less responsible and worse paid jobs. This generates gender inequality in the labor market. The hypothesis that we pose suggests that the persistence of the patriarchy at both the micro- (family) and macro- (labour market and State) levels slows down the possibility of accomplishing equality between men and women. The methodology employed was quantitative and qualitative: with the former, official statistical sources were consulted. In the latter, the discourses of 30 semi-structured interviews held with working mothers were analysed. The results confirmed a more precarious situation for women in the labor market due to their greater discontinuity, temporality, sub-occupation, and part-time jobs predominated among women. Another finding was that the traditional distribution of gender roles persisted in couples, shown in the discourses provided by interviews. Finally, it was found that conciliation arrangements are basically used by females. The conclusions indicate that the patriarchy persists in today’s society despite changes made in gender relations, in legislation and in society. This means that an unequal situation for men and women persists in both family life and the labor market.
