In this study, we present the findings of an on-line collaborative project eTwinning between secondary school students of French as a Foreign Language in a Spanish high school and secondary school students of Spanish as a Foreign Language in a French high school during one semester of the academic year 2015-2016. The students worked together in small groups in the online platform TwinSpace, exchanging personal and socio-cultural information and corrections about each other’s language (Spanish and French) in discussion forums with the aim to improve their intercultural competence. Data was gathered from two instruments that included the student’s answers to a questionnaire and an interview at the end of the project. The quantitative and qualitative analysis seems to suggest regarding the participant’s perception that there are evidences of development of intercultural competence as presented in Byram’s model (1997, 2000).

Teacher training at the university level in Mexico requires rethinking the strategies established so far, in view of the lack of effectiveness they have shown in improving teachers' work, both before and during the interaction with the students, during teacher's reflection and his evaluation of the impact of the planning, conduction and evaluation strategies used. International research shows that the correlations between training programs and learning outcomes depend largely on the time spent, which should be greater than 60 hours to have an impact on improving teachers' performance. In addition, in order for teaching activities to have an impact on students' learning, it is necessary to explore other factors related to teaching practices that have shown to be predictors of students' academic performance. The research that is reported in this article focuses on finding regularities in the styles of teaching that are present in a sample of 38 teachers from different disciplines who have been successful and recognized institutionally as good teachers, seeking to characterize what they do in significant moments of teaching such as the planning of the course and the planning of each session, the conduction of the class and the evaluation of earning, relating these data to control variables that identify the teachers.

Information and communication technologies can provide the resources needed to create an educational revolution in classrooms. In the historical moment that we live, it becomes increasingly demanding the need to present new alternatives or innovative ideas and experiences regarding the teaching and learning process and the use of information and communication technologies. Therefore, in this educational proposal, a series of activities are proposed in which Project based Learning is the basis for joining different methodologies such as Collaborative Learning or Flipped Classroom, always taking into account the development of multiple Intelligences and Importance that must be given to the emotions in the development of the activities in class.

The tutorial program specialized in attention on inclusive education to diversity at the Autónoma University of Madrid implies an analysis of the real and current situation of the Spanish universities in regards to students with special needs during their learning and competences achievement process. The lack of tradition of tutoring makes it difficult to approach teaching quality, attention to diversity and personal development of students. Data are collected from 333 students, 33 of them with disabilities and 156 teachers, through semi-structured interviews and online questionnaires on perceptions and expectations in the learning process, through the descriptive analysis of mixed methodology for the intrinsic case study.

This work is the result of extensive research aimed to understand how to create a teaching identity in early childhood education, and how this influences the teachers private life and work life as educational reform is introduced. Given the scope of the project, in this document, two specific objectives are addressed: to publicise the life history of a teacher of early childhood education, and identify the most significant elements in the creation of his/her teaching identity. The life history of a retired infant teacher called Catuxa is used throughout this report using the narrative-biographic method. The results help us to better understand the conflicts, difficulties, dilemmas and circumstances that the teacher had to face during a teaching career near 40 years.

This article describes the first findings on a Master degree thesis that explores reading and writing teaching practices mediated by technology in higher education. Interviews were carried out with teachers, as well as observation of documents and virtual platforms. Among the reasons why the interviewees justify the use of technology, motivation stands out together with the possibility that ICT offer of making the most of the teaching time. This article focuses on some characteristics of technological mediation in the writing process, from the perspective of those interviewed, particularly guidance during the beginning and development of such process and the possibility of visualizing the way it has gone.

Experts speak of violence as a psychosocial disease generated in violent environments habituation caused by a lack of democratic consciousness. In this regard, violence is broached in this paper considering it as some kind of atmosphere, especially when it is spread in school. Our contribution includes this perspective and concludes, after analysing the broad outlines of some programs and anti-harassment guidelines, the solution relates to promote social harmony and it goes through a basic premise: both aggressors and assaulted must be aware of their duties and basic rights.
