This study aimed to evaluate the quality of life of Nutrition students in order to subsidize reflections on the process of training in health. This was a cross-sectional observational study conducted from August 2010 to August 2011 among forty students attending all course semesters. Data was collected using a specific questionnaire — sociodemographic characteristics — and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Instrument-Bref. Descriptive frequency, central tendency and dispersion statistical analyses were performed, as was the comparison inferential analysis among the domains. The scores were: environment (68.17), social (66.67), physical (66.07) and psychological (63.82) relations. The sleep, energy for daily activities, concentration capacity, opportunities for leisure activities, financial resources, physical environment and negative feeling facets affected the respondents' quality oflife adversely and interfered with their academic performance. These findings corroborate other studies involving undergraduates, revealing that the quality of life of these young people require improving physical and environmental structures and pedagogical, social, and psychological support in a context of social inclusion and of cultural multidiversity that is increasingly present in Brazilian public universities.

The Brazilian National Policy of Permanent Education in Health establishes as an assumption the centrality in the work processes to guide the qualification activities of health workers. The present study aims to discuss the trajectory of institutionalization of the National Policy of Permanent Education in Health according to the perception of the representative actors of this public policy (federal managers, state and municipal managers, and researchers), considering the 16 years of its institutionalization until the year of this study (2004-2020). This is a qualitative research, with the application of the Delphi method. The results showed that the policy is fragile regarding its implementation. Regarding the impacts, it was found that it facilitated the strengthening of the relationship between health services and educational institutions, and promoted significant changes in teamwork processes, regardless of their composition.

Thinking the relationship between the education of the body and producing a healthy subject is being able to think of a physical education the practice of which provides health conditions for the subject. It is understood that the body is as a means of permanent representation so the subject can signifyhim or herself as a healthy being. The purpose of this reflection is to understand the education of bodily practices as something that allows the subject to represent his or her view of a healthy body. In this respect, it is assumed that it would be crucial to build critical analytical processes on the various educational bodily practices that are instituted in everyday life, with reference to the conditions that subordinate the individual to social order.

The requirement of dealing directly with subjectivity brings very peculiar characteristics to education that go beyond the limits of any logical organization. This article focuses on the limits of the metaphor of work in education, on its function of modeling and, thus, explaining the teaching activity. As a donor of a universal sense to human activities, the metaphor of work, which cannot be reduced to the simple displacement of words, rather to the transposition of ingrained sense, became excessive and insufficient to consider the task of human development. In this sense, the introduction of the concept of action to elucidate the teaching activity comes up with representative potential for the practice of the teacher, a place where the work metaphor cannot be fully realized.

This is a field study, with a quantitative approach, on the level of organizational commitment among municipal health surveillance inspectors. An analysis was made of possible differences between the sample groups, which were divided according to their sociodemographic characteristic s. The study included 335 inspectors from 53 Goiás, Brazil, municipalities, who responded to the 2011 Organizational Commitment Scale Bases. The scale covers seven different types of ties that employees have with the institutions they work for, as well as personal and professional data. The analyses were descriptive, variance, and chi-square tests. Noted were a high affective commitment and high sense of obligation for job performance, low feelings of affiliation and obligation to continue working in municipal health surveillance, in addition to differences between groups when the individual and professional characteristics were taken into account. The area's public managers should pay attention to the importance of human resources in the development of public policies and prioritize actions that result in high levels of commitment among these professionals.

University extension in the educational process allows for the preparation of the praxis and scientific knowledge through actions in the community, generating a systematic process of knowledge exchange. This study evaluated the educational interventions of private higher education in public high school applied to the areas of sciences and prevention in health, conducted from February 2005 to November 2008. The intervention trained 20 high school students, and held the Youth Health Day, attended by 362 students from Salvador, Brazil. Anonymous questionnaires containing questions about the subject's activities were completed before and after each seminar and workshop. The importance of the intervention of private higher education in the training of public high school students was noted. Private higher education can participate in social inclusion, qualifying individuals to join the professional training process in a manner more attentive to the social dynamics. The challenge for higher education in the health field remains reconceptualizing its active role in health education and prevention, with the effective participation of academics, scientists, and educators.
