Research efforts have been directed toward the improvement of construction labour productivity over the years, and as a result of its significance to the national economies, the concept continues to receive attention across the globe. This study thus examines the influence of supervision on the productivity of construction workers in Abuja.  The research employed mixed methods approach using unobtrusive observation as well as on-site measurement of works to obtain qualitative data on twenty construction sites and questionnaires were used to elicit quantitative data from the professionals and those with supervisory roles involved or engaged by small and medium sized firms. Of the 157 questionnaires that were self-administered to the site supervisors, 124 valid responses were obtained which gave approximately 79% response rate. Finding from the observation and measurement revealed that there is no statistically significant difference between the productivity of workers with professional supervision and those with non-professional supervision (foremen). Results of the findings from the questionnaires on factors militating against effective supervision on construction sites showed that communication breakdown was ranked first with mean of 4.29 while irregular meeting was the least ranked with mean of 3.59.  It was suggested that adequate attention has to be paid to training, retraining and continuous professional development of people charged with supervisory roles on the construction sites so as to achieve higher construction workers productivity.

The blood protozoa of two important domestic birds namely chickens (Gallus domesticus) and pigeon (Columba livia) reared in the hilly areas of Bangladesh were studied. A total of 400 birds (200 chicken and 200 pigeons) were examined of which 149 (37.3%) [95% CI] birds were found infected by one or more haemoprotozoan parasites. Haemoprotozoa belonging to three genera were identified. Pigeon 80 (40%) was recorded more susceptible to haemoprotozoa infection than chicken 69 (34.5%). 118 birds (29.5%) were found to be infected with single infection where as mixed infections were found in 31 birds (7.8%). The prevalence of blood protozoa in female birds (69.5%) was found significantly higher (p ≤ 0.0001) [95% CI] than male birds (5%). Within the study period, the prevalence rate of Haemoprotozoa was 60.6% in summer season, 36.7% in rainy and 23% winter seasons. This study has archived a high prevalence of haemoparasites, henceforth encourage further to determine the effect of contamination on the productivity and profitability of these birds, and evaluation of cost-benefit of various control strategies need to be undertaken.

The paper aimed to get insight of consumer involvement in purchasing behavior towards ONS (Oral Nutritional Supplements) for children. By implementing an online survey with sample size of 100, the research investigated the factors (motivation and stimulus factor) influencing consumer involvement and the causality between consumer involvement with the product knowledge as well as purchasing behavior. The research tool used was a 5-points Likert questionnaire in which respondents were asked to show their agreements about 40 items of 5 constructs. A partial least square - structural equation modeling by Smart-PLS software used to test the model. The results of this research also comes to conclusion that motivation and stimulus factor had significant affects on consumer involvement, consumer involvement had significant influence to product knowledge as well as ONS purchasing behavior, however product knowledge did not have significant affects on purchasing behavior. The results also showed that the product involvement has an important influence on consumers behavior.

This study aims to investigate comparative analysis of bank’s ATM and POS technologies by customers applying Technology Acceptance Model 3 (TAM3) so that TAM3’s accepted components will be analyzed separately for each ATM and POS technologies. Statistical population includes Melat Bank’s customers residing in Tehran. Applying Cochran's sample size formula, 139 customers were selected randomly. The data collected from questionnaires were analyzed applying SPSS 21. The findings show that generally speaking, people use points of sale than ATMs. In most of TAM3’s components, ATMs show higher acceptance than points of sale. Only in self-efficacy, perceived joy and result demonstrability, points of sale were higher than ATMs. In anxiety and behavioral intention components, there was a meaningful difference between points of sale and ATMs regarding acceptance.

Fundamental determinants of housing prices which affect housing demand and supply are the most common in developed countries. These are economic and financial determinants as well as demographic indicators. However, housing price analysis in less developed countries submit controversial and not sufficient results about the impact of interest rate, inflation and unemployment. Moreover, it does not investigate the influence of demographic variables and the means of economic policy. In this article the effect of GDP, unemployment, inflation, interest rate, emigration and the means of macroprudential policy on housing prices in Lithuania was evaluated. The results showed that inflation, interest rate and emigration are not causal determinants of housing prices, which mostly depend on GDP, unemployment, the means of macroprudential policy and the average housing prices in the previous period.
