Resumen
This article aims to analyse two cases of reopened cinemas which played a strong part in the practices of leisure in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Antwerp (Belgium) during the 20th Century. After a long period of decay, the Imperator cinema (Cinecarioca Méier nowadays), localised in Méier, a Rio de Janeiro neighbourhood, as well as the cine De Roma, in Borgerhout, a district with a strong migration background of Antwerp, have been reactivated as a consequence of partnerships between public and private spheres in addition to civil society organs. Through an etno-historical metodology, the article investigates these cases in a comparative way, observing how some ideas such as memory and cultural heritage have been used by both projects in benefit of the recovery of old places of film exhibition and cinema-going experiences.

Resumen
This article explores the management of relationships by King Juan Carlos I of Spain to legitimate the monarchy as an institution and build a new democracy after Franco’s death in 1975. The high level of public support during most of his reign shows there is a correlation between good relationship management and the loyalty of the subjects. Only when some basic relationship management principles of mutual benefit, such as trust and openness with his subjects, were violated the level of support of Juan Carlos I, and the monarchy as an institution started to decline. Nonetheless, the value of relationship management has proved durable since the new monarch, Felipe VI, was able to recover in a relatively short period of time the public support that Juan Carlos I enjoyed in the past. This fact indicates that even in the case of disruptive monarchies, such as Spain, the power of relationship management has shown effectiveness to legitimate the institution. However, at the same time it also points out that in a public opinion regime monarchies have to show exemplarity and that involves not only to create mutual benefit for the citizenship through good deeds...

In that context, as a part of the results from the research: Mapas y expresiones de la diversidad en Veracruz y su zona conurbada [Maps and expressions of the diversity in Veracruz and its conurbation], this article analyzes cultural practices and habits that, according to the findings obtained, define new uses of the urban space in the conurbation of Veracruz. Resumen
This paper aims to analyze the manifestation of censorship from the point of view of local journalists working in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. For purposes of approach and justification, research problematize recent indicators of violence recorded against journalists nationwide, some cases of censorship that have been difundos by the media and question what needs to be done on human rights and the result of the reforms on freedom of expression and protection mechanisms for journalists. the various ways of conceiving censorship since its typology were identified. Under a quantitative approach were local journalists surveyed about their experience with the censorship and the findings suggest that such factors limiting the free flow of ideas go beyond the purely economic and legal. Censorship is a historical practice that has never gone away, only it changed their ways of operating.

Resumen
Many of the television series are small signs of how the producers of such series build characters whose slideshow may influence the formation of opinions and beliefs about that character or an event. There is a vast amount of research that show how images of scientists displayed in some of the television programs contribute to the perception of how are these. The main objective of this work consisted in analyzing how scientists are socially represented who in the first 6 seasons of the american television series The Big Bang Theory, through an analysis of critical content. Highlight aspects: with regard to the "look" the incorporation of the young and modern scientist was observed, but the "attributes" are the same: intelligent, obsessive, and shy. Beliefs are preserved in relation to the scientific disciplines, i.e., the "true" sciences are the natural ones, in detriment of other scientific disciplines. Perhaps the image has changed, but in the background, the mistakes of the past are encouraged: the representation of the practice of science as homogeneous, static, without provocation to critical changes.

Resumen
The paper discusses capitalism as a mode of social relations dominated by interests and practices that include but are not limited to economics and politics. These relationships are examined as forms of social communication linked to the exercise of power. They unfold in a historical mode of appropriation and a symbolic logical formation. The analysis focuses on communication systems, especially mass media and social networks that have become technically and culturally available. It proposes as main models the vertical and the horizontal. The existence of this clashing duality constitutes the fundamental feature in which the present capitalist mode of communication materializes. Finally, a couple of central processes are described: communication flows and the wiki culture.

Resumen
Smartphones comprise an important, sometimes crucial, a part of people’s contemporary life along multiple dimensions. The aim of the present study was to analyze how these devices are used in romantic relationships. From a socio-determinist view of communication technologies, this work makes a comprehensive theoretical review of communication and psychological motivations associated to different smartphone use patterns in the pre-(e.g., search for romantic partner on dating apps) and post-beginning of the relationship. Particularly, relevant advances in this line ofresearch are described, whereas a discussion of the extent that smartphone use influences the relationship formation, consolidation, and ending is included. In addition, some negative effects from alternative uses of smartphones are also reviewed, such asphubbing, sexting, and cyberbullying. In this view, the present work introduces a road map for upcoming empirical analyses regarding the instrumental role of technologies on romantic relationships.

Resumen
The world’s press gives little importance to environmental issues, except when natural phenomena create human disasters. Because of this, it is necessary to understand the mediated representations in Mexican newspapers of such events. Thus, a content analysis was performed on 1,638 notes published on 21 newspapers from 9 states; with the objective of characterizing the social representations of natural phenomena and human disasters, as presented in the informative discourse. As a result, the dominance of basic information from official sources was observed. It was also found that there were differences among states regarding the levels of grimness of the published information. It is presumed that the dominance of official sources is related to the exercise of journalistic routines oriented towards efficiency in the use of material and human resources of the media. Finally, it is argued that differences among states about the spectacularizing of the news are explained by the cultural background of the region where the news are produced.
