From the studies of popular youth in Chile, the research delves into the territorial experience of the youth that inhabit the outskirts of Santiago through their musical productions. The methodology is framed within community psychology, specifically from a socio-constructionist perspective. This analytical strategy uses an aestheticnarrative and content combination for the analysis of the Trap video clips. Among the most relevant findings are the importance of the relationship with the mother, their child abuse experiences, religion and the relationship with the peer group. We conclude that the trap in Chile contributes to the communicational circuit of the periphery, allowing us to characterize the juvenile subject of the trap as a relevant and historically situated social actor.

The forms of organization and student participation in Latin America have been approached from the most everyday of school life to the most extraordinary ways in which social outbursts are expressed. Assuming this complexity, experiences of citizenship education in school settings are analyzed here, showing the ways in which they manage, under certain circumstances, to put in tension the adult-centric forms through which the margins of autonomy —always relative— of youths are interpreted. The ethnography carried out in secondary schools shows the hidden potential of a type of study that accounts for the ways in which processes of political subjectivation and dynamics of youth and school sociability are articulated.

In the context of interviews held with different researchers who are prominent in youth studies in Latin America and Europe, we talked with Rafael Carreras, a scholar and researcher from Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, to build a story of his academic trajectory based on different variables which have been influential in his work, community social psychology, fieldwork with young people and the use of biographical narratives in the context of participatory action research in the Argentinian context. The origin of a research interest on youths is the beginning of this conversation, which walks through different reflections on youths within the Argentinian and Latin-American contexts, integrating concepts such as neoliberalism and a joint set of domination systems in the process where the socio-political context becomes crucial to start exploring on such social group. As a final point, it is established the presence of determined hints and opened paths to study youths within the current Latin-American context, affected by several protest, violence, and social transformation milestones.

The article exposes experiences by university students in the context of physical isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology used is qualitative research; the participants were six students from La Araucanía, Chile. The information-gathering instrument is the semi-structured interview. The results reveal situations that have generated anxiety in university students, which has affected the personal, social and academic environment, leading to a restructuring of their daily lives. We conclude the need for professional training that provides strategies, knowledge, and skills to face mental health problems.

In this work, we explore the ways, practices, and spaces of film cultural consumption of students from a public university in Mexico City. We have analyzed those cultural activities carried out in the public space and at home, as well as those performed through the different technological formats, inquiring into their relationship with cinema, as a field of culture and the meaning of it in their cultural consumption. Results show that regardless of their access to multiple screens and a wide range of films, young people have limited, scarce knowledge and contact restricted to the consumption of Hollywood and mainstream films. In addition, a distance from the established spaces and modalities of exhibition —cinemas— can be observed, a fact impacting on their use and appropriation of the urban public space.

Introduction: opioid drugs are indicated for pain management in cancer patients; morphine is considered the analgesic of choice due to its cost-effectiveness.Objective: to characterize the use of morphine in cancer patients in Primary Health Care in Las Tunas province during the year 2019.Method: observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study, in cancer patients who required the use of morphine for pain relief in Primary Health Care in Las Tunas province, in the period from January to December 2019. The sample was made up of 763 patients selected through an intentional non-probabilistic sampling. Results: 63,96 % of the patients required the use of morphine (10 mg). A predominance of female patients was found, aged between 65 and 74 years (25,69 %) and under 55 years (24,11 %). The most frequent locations of cancer were lung (18,87 %) and colon with rectum (11,53 %). The largest numbers of patients came from the municipalities of Las Tunas (40,23 %) and Puerto Padre (18,89 %). A predominance of patients who required 6 daily doses (27,65 %) and 3 daily doses (25,56 %) was found. Conclusions: female patients older than 55 years were prone to developing lung or colon and rectal cancer, requiring a dose of morphine (10 mg). The use of multiple daily doses was common and was determined by several factors.

Introduction: several epidemiological studies show a high incidence rate of exogenous intoxications. Cuba is not distant this increase; every year there is an important number of acute intoxications or drug overdose. Objective: to characterize patients with exogenous intoxications in the Intensive Care Unit at Dr. Mario Muñoz Monroy General Teaching HospitalMethod: an observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study at Dr. Mario Muñoz Monroy General Teaching Hospital, Colon municipality, Matanzas province, from January 2020 to January 2021. The target group comprised 80 patients with a diagnosis of exogenous intoxication. The analysis of the results was carried out by means of descriptive statistics. Results: female sex predominated (68,75 %) and the age group 18-39 years (56,25 %); intentional intoxications prevailed with 85 % and diazepam was the most frequent causal substance (35 %). A history of psychiatric disorders predominated (60 %) and a two-day stay in the ward (77,5 %).Conclusions: exogenous intoxications were common in females and in patients between the second and third decade of life, where intentional intoxications with psychotropic drugs were common, mainly in patients with a history of psychiatric diseases. Introduction: in a short period of time, the pandemic caused by COVID-19 has caused a global health problem of great magnitude. Therefore, it was necessary to enable new medical consultations to limit contact between sick and healthy patients. Objective: to characterize suspected COVID-19 patients who attended the acute respiratory infection clinic in the municipality of Rodas, Cienfuegos between August and September 2021.Method: an observational, descriptive cross-sectional study of suspected cases of COVID-19 treated in the acute respiratory infection consultation belonging to the municipality of Rodas, Cienfuegos, between August and September 2021, was carried out. The universe consisted of 80 patients, working with the whole. Descriptive statistics were used. Results: the male sex prevailed (53,75 %) and the age group 60 years and over (25 %). In 64 patients (80 %) the source of infection was specified. Arterial hypertension prevailed as personal pathological antecedents in 28,75 %; 57,50 % of the patients were positive to the antigen test. In the series, the predominant symptoms were asthenia (60 %), fever (58,75 %) and cough (51,25 %).Conclusions: male patients, older adults and hypertensive patients represented the largest number of cases that attended the consultation, and most of them were contacts of confirmed cases with positive antigen tests. The symptomatology turned out to be mild in most of the subjects studied.
