From a psychoanalytic approach, considering Love Studies’s interdisciplinary fields, this article analyzes, through semi-structured interviews, the meanings Chilean heterosexual adult women and men between 18 and 65 years old, grant to gender difference with the purpose to explain their experiences regarding love, power and the influences of feminism in romantic relationships. As referred to women, a great tension appears between the imperatives of feminist politics and their own eroticism, between their sexual autonomy and the power of seducing. Men refer to power as a constant dialectic which produces certain privileges between contemporary couples’s development, this arouses the fear of being subjected or in disadvantage inside this power relationship. Taking it as a whole, we propose an emergent view of a love perspective able to dodge the classic illusion of harmony having to face phallic power logics in romantic relationships, this includes the production of differences as well as the acceptance of the otherness.

This essay addresses the supply of basic natural resources for the development of the ceramic and glass industries in the late medieval period, by exploring the extraction of clay, soda, wood and, to a lesser extent, the access to some minerals like tin, led, and cobalt. The case of the kingdom of Valencia between the 13th and the 15th is analised through a combination of notarial, normative, judicial and literary sources, without leaving aside the evidence of the archaeological record.

Christine de Pizan (ca. 1364-ca. 1430) describes the universe and reflects on the causes of the generation of the cosmos in several passages of her allegorical works. Her interest in natural philosophy is well known and, although she had no formal training in the arts of the quadrivium, she taught herself from the books available to her at Charles V’s court. In the journeys on Earth and through the heavens that she depicts in Le chemin de long estude (1402) and L’Advision-Cristine (1405), she reworks ideas taken from philosophical and literary sources both ancient, late antique and medieval. She frames these ideas in her own imaginary and uses them to analyse, by analogy, the ethical-political issues at the heart of her practical proposals for restoring order, peace and concord to the kingdom of France after Charles VI’s rise to power. De Pizan conceives of nature as a series of living, sexed, feminine forces, personified as ladies of great authority. Thus, on both the natural and social levels, she gives women a key role in organising and directing the world in every conceivable sphere of reality.

The process of construction of the Castilian royal power, throughout the Late Middle Ages, shows multiple aspects presented in the vast bibliography developed during the past century and in the first decades of the current century. On this occasion, we propose to reflect on the sensory nature of the relations established by the monarch with his subjects, since power is not only seen, but also felt and expressed in corporeality. This sensory facet of power was a prominent focus of attention in the legislative work of Alfonso X codified in his Siete Partidas [Seven-Part Code]. Consequently, the aim of this work will be to make a first approach to the mediations established by the senses in the relations between the people and their king, focusing particularly in the Segunda Partida [Second Part of the Code] of the Alfonsine work, based on the Aristotelian conceptualizations of sensoriality. This will allow us to examine how a particular schema of the microcosm of royal power was elaborated.

In this paper we propose to analyze the forest management in Castile from the study of the numerous ordinances elaborated by the late medieval local authorities. The contradictions between the different forms of exploitation and the care of the resources shown in the regulations guide the reflection towards the meaning assumed by the notion of forest conservation and with it, towards the diverse interests involved in the uses and their restrictions.

In this work I will analyze the importance that marvels had in the Carolingian sensory configuration of the 9th century, especially how they contributed to the establishment of a sensory community, based on the creation and circulation of knowledge and practices, in which the human senses and the animal world converge.

The goal of this study was to analyze the changes that have taken place in the economic sectors in the system of cities between 1982, 1992, 2002, and 2017, alongside understanding the evolution and functional trajectory of employment in the Ñuble Region. The research approach is quantitative and applies a correlational design. The database was extracted from the 1982, 1992, 2002, and 2017 censuses of the National Institute of Statistics (INE, in Spanish) using the REDATAM program. Then, a principal component analysis (PCA) was performed using R software, shown through tables, graphs, and cartographies. The results indicate a trend that diversifies the region’s economic branches, evolving from agriculture toward commerce, services, education, and construction. The specialization indexes show a trajectory towards the homogenization of tertiary sectors and that, in a small number of communes, the primary sector represents a relevant part of local activity. In addition, from the decrease in agricultural and industrial employment, it can be concluded that the different communes of the region have a primary and tertiary vocation, recognizing a co-evolution between the different economic branches.
