The purpose of this work is to approach the Social Imaginary of the last coup d’état that took place in Honduras (June 6th, 2009), defining a textual reference, setting marks (Pintos, 2006) and using a specific software. Social Imaginary Theory (Coca et al., 2011) and Lexical Analysis as a quantitative technic are used to study the discourse, complemented with Grounded Theory. In this paper we show a plurality of Social Imaginaries that coexist -some are common, other are diverse and some are even antagonistic. This permits to reveal not only the forces that promote changes but also the opposite, as well as the rupture of frames and meanings in the Honduran society in this crisis context.Revista Población y Desarrollo: Argonautas y Caminantes Vol.12, 2016: 117-129

This research consists of an introductory and comparative analysis of fertility in three different geographical areas, to observe patterns that characterize each. Underlying the selection of these areas, an idea has to do with getting a good striking contrast in the resulting socio-economic indicators and see, among other things, whether these differences raised, have an impact or effect on fertility. Was then split, well different populations from many aspects. Selected for this analysis, spatial units are the province of Misiones, the Federal Capital and Total Country.Revista Población y Desarrollo: Argonautas y Caminantes Vol.12, 2016: 133-143

Breast cancer in women is one of the most important causes of mortality in the world and similarly in Honduras. Countries have sought to promote preventive aspects of nature among the population, but has not been able to demonstrate the impact of these actions. Measuring mortality is performed with different techniques and the phenomenon of death, is a sensitive indicator that shows the general characteristics of a group of patients, especially in relation to health services. This paper aims to raise awareness of the impact of mortality from breast cancer in the San Felipe Hospital in Tegucigalpa in 2015. For this period, the calculation of disability-adjusted life year is used (AVPP) in order to establish death prematurity this specific cause. A descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective study. The data are taken from the clinical records from which the age groups, geographical origin is established as departmental and municipal and risk factors are evident, such as: addictions to snuff and alcohol, menarche before eleven, presence of menopause at admission, socioeconomic conditions, use of health services. The sociodemographic characteristics of Honduran migrant women living in the United States reflected in the American Household Survey (ACS American Community Survey) during the period 2001-2013, shows a significant increase in the migratory flow of women born in Honduras who migrate to that northern country. Mostly migrant women travel in search of better job opportunities. Among the main features identified in this study it stands out, a young population between 25 and 29 years of age with a low educational level and with little or no English proficiency. A significant number of migrant Honduran women do not have legal immigration status. In addition, a significant percentage of household heads is recorded. An important finding is that most once established in the United States choose to have fewer children. Migrant women work focuses on low-skilled service, which includes occupations related to food preparation, maintenance and cleaning of buildings, domestic services, caregiving, and the like. I explore production configuration across Negro river Middle Valley in northern Patagonia, Argentina. The documentary and historical sources are supplemented by field interviews taken from 2011 to 2013 and a household survey in 2011. The Middle Valley is close to the Upper Valley of the river, where pome fruit for fresh consumption export is produced since the mid 1960’s. I compare population settlement and production history processes and I discuss similarities and differences of each valley by geographic, climatic, historical, social and political conditions, especially those prevailing at each time of production consolidation.Revista Población y Desarrollo: Argonautas y Caminantes Vol.12, 2016: 9-21

In 2015, the population of Guadalajara metropolitan area (RMG) recorded an occupational boom. More than 73,000 new jobs w ere generated by nine branches of economic activity. However, these occupations are insufficient to meet the needs demanded by the population of working age (15 and more years old). It should be noted that the highest growth experienced workforce in general and by branch of economic activity where he works. But at the same time that labor force increased its buying and selling dissimilar under precarious conditions. Thus it is seen that the highest level of occupation is performed under conditions of job insecurity (in order to increase profits) which contravenes the constitutional postulate laid down in Article 123. This leads to increased instability-heterogeneity labor in the population RMG, mainly from the workforce. It should be noted that the analysis of statistical information: national survey of employment and occupation (ENOE second quarter of each year of the period), is based on the conceptual theoretical perspective of political economy and sociology of work.
