Resumen
The article deals with Vittorio Sereni’s preparation of his collection of poems Gli strumenti umani, with which he painstakingly managed to emerge from the so-called «poetic silence» in the mid-1960s. The structure of the new book, which is truly complex, suffers from the poet’s determination to offer continuity to his late 1930s poetics reflected in Frontiera (1941) and Diario di Algeria (1947), and at the same time to show the evolution of his poetic art, from the initial impressionism and hermeticism towards a more eminently prosaic poetry, more existential than essential, closer to the experimentation and evolution of the poetic forms and contents of the twentieth century than to its continuity.

For most readers, if we say that Juan Luis Alborg, in addition to his role as a literary critic and historian of Spanish literature, was a Latinist, it will undoubtedly come as a surprise. Indeed, after the pertinent study of a good number of documents from the Alborg Legacy, currently deposited in the University of Malaga, we have been able to reconstruct his work as a Latin teacher during the forties and fifties of the last century, a period in which he published school editions of the Odes by Horace and the Catilinaries by Cicero, and he also took a Doctorate in History from the University of Madrid with a doctoral dissertation, supervised by Manuel Ballesteros. In this last work he studied the Latin used by three chroniclers of the Indies, so we can consider him a pioneer of studies on Latin humanism of the Spanish Renaissance.

Resumen
Since the beginnings of Grammar as systematic discipline in ancient Greece, the question of singular phenomena within the framework of regular paradigms has been raised. Although the idea that Grammar (and therefore Philology) is a tekhne has triumphed, it has also been maintained that it is empeiria. A methodological element of this tekhne is the observation of individuals. This issue re-emerged in the 19th century in the treatment of circularity both in textual criticism and hermeneutics, and it is coupled with that of the character of the interpreter. Approaches to the idea of philological observation are studied in Ptolemy the Peripateticus, Schleiermacher, Nietzsche and Giorgio Colli.

Los problemas imaginarios: Francisco Ayala, Juan Marichal y Américo Castro en el debate sobre España
Creus Visiers, Eduardo
Universidad de Málaga
Resumen
In the years preceding the end of the Franco period, some important liberal intellectuals reflected on Spain in writings that the Editorial Finisterre published in the collection «Perspectivas españolas». The texts by Francisco Ayala, Juan Marichal and Américo Castro, examined in this paper, do not intend to prolong the old debate on the national problem: they are a dialogue and a political reflection on the meaning of Spanish nationalist thought.
