Resumen
This article analyzes student permanence in the context of affirmative action in higher education, based on the case of Federal University of Bahia. The permanence of students in higher education is an absent theme in the field of research on affirmative action in Brazil. Permanence policy, regarding to student assistance, gained relevance in parallel to the establishment of affirmative action policies in public universities and, in particular, after the enactment of Law 12.711 (BRASIL, 2012). The research was based on documental analysis of actions and programs of the federal government of the national policy of student assistance and UFBA’s institutional documents. Starting with a brief contextualization of affirmative action in Brazil and the emergence of student assistance policies, the research is dedicated to analyzing the case of the Federal University of Bahia, highlighting the institution's affirmative action program and student assistance policies, as well as the students’ socioeconomic profiles. Among the research results, the dimensioning of the impacts of the permanence policy stands out in order to measure the impacts of the permanence policy, therefore contributing to the debate about the importance of student permanence for promotion of social justice.

Resumen
Resumen. El propósito de este artículo es plantear una aproximación alternativa a la identificación de las relaciones gramaticales en los compuestos del español haciendo uso de criterios sintácticos. Se distinguirá entre tipos de compuestos en función de si los constituyentes no nucleares del compuesto funcionan como predicados (prodigio en niño prodigio), nominales adjuntos (aroma en aromaterapia), argumentos (vajillas en lavavajillas) o adjuntos no nominales (mal en malhumorado). Para dar cuenta de estas distinciones, proponemos tres criterios de clasificación: la posición de ensamble del constituyente no nuclear en la proyección del núcleo del compuesto, su categoría gramatical, y la naturaleza de los constituyentes entre los que establece la relación gramatical, bien entre los propios miembros del compuesto, bien entre un miembro del compuesto y un sintagma externo al mismo. El punto de partida de la aproximación es la habitual distinción entre relaciones gramaticales de subordinación, atribución y coordinación. Se trata de demostrar que las clases mencionadas no son lo suficientemente precisas para dar cuenta de manera exhaustiva de todas las relaciones gramaticales identificables en la composición española.

Resumen
El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar las relaciones entre ideología y gramática en el nivel extralingüístico (es decir, la presencia de marcas ideológicas desde el punto de vista social, político, cultural, histórico, etc.) en la octava edición de la Gramática de la lengua castellana según ahora se habla de Vicente Salvá (1847) a través de sus ejemplos. Los instrumentos teóricos y metodológicos utilizados partirán de las tesis de Brekle (1986) de historiografía lingüística externa y externa, de Swiggers (1980) en cuanto a lingüística interna y externa, y del planteamiento del hecho historiográfico como acto comunicativo de Zamorano Aguilar (2008, 2009, 2019).

Resumen
El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar cinco cartas escritas por Antonio Estada, natural de Calvià (Mallorca), entre 1789 y 1790. Procedente de una familia de notarios, en las cartas se aprecia su familiaridad con documentos notariales, mezclada con rasgos típicos de scriptores semicultos. En concreto, sus usos gráficos muestran un cierto manejo de las convenciones escriturarias de la época, junto con características que apuntan a la oralidad de un catalanohablante, de donde resulta en una reorganización particular del sistema gráfico. Así pues, mediante el análisis de estas cartas, este trabajo trata de resaltar el valor que tienen los textos escritos por manos no profesionales para los estudios lingüísticos diacrónicos, especialmente en contexto de contacto de lenguas.

Resumen
This research had its origin in studies undertaken in two Master's dissertations. It aimed to identify the perception of teachers about the integrated curriculum in the context of IFRN, through five categories of analysis, namely: a) conception of IP in the dissertations analyzed; b) relationship between IP and EMI; c) interdisciplinarity; d) relationship between IP and human formation; and e) challenges or limitations in the development of IP. The research was based on the following questions: how do the actors involved conceive IP? what are the contributions of IP for the materialization of the Integrated Curriculum in IFRN, and which challenges in the context of IP need to be overcome? The methodology used had a qualitative approach, supported by a bibliographic review, for covering the literature already made public regarding the production of the dissertations. In the theoretical composition, we operated with the support proposed by authors such as Imbernón (2011), Pena (2011), Silva (2014), Fazenda (2014), Henrique and Nascimento (2015), Pacheco, (2015), Santos and Souza (2021), among others. The results found pointed out that the two dissertations analyzed allow a reflection about the practices of the integrated curriculum. The limitations presented in these studies suggest the possibility of changes in teaching-learning practices to strengthen interdisciplinarity and form a subject that thinks and acts beyond the labor market.

Resumen
The present article has as its theme the role of the Federal Institutes (IF) of Education in professional training for the world of work. It aims to understand this role, as well as the importance the IF have for the society. Bibliographic and documentary research allows a historical review of the vocational education trajectory in Brazil, relating it to different contexts, as well as to the dominant social projects of each period. The institution of the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education, creating the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology, in 2008, the description of the objectives and pillars that structure their actions are also presented in this work. The analysis of the results indicates that the expansion of Industry 4.0 and the transformations experienced in the pandemic period give the IF even greater relevance in terms of integral, human and emancipatory professional training. This will contribute to the re-signification of the world of work, the relationships that are established in and society as a whole.

Essa edição comemorativa dos 25 anos da revista foi organizado pelos Profs. Francisco das Chagas Silva Souza, do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN), Leonardo Leonidas de Brito, do Colégio Pedro II (CPII), e Natália Conceição Silva Barros Cavalcanti, do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Pará (IFPA). O dossiê trata de estudos realizados no contexto da Educação Profissional, de pesquisas originadas em várias instituições da Rede Federal. Trata-se de rico material, com importante potencial para utilização por estudantes, pesquisadores, professores e leitores em geral, considerando as diversas abordagens teóricas e metodológicas propostas.

Resumen
Introduction: COVID-19 pandemic represents a challenge for healthcare systems, due to the impact on different systems, such as respiratory, cardiovascular and nervous systems. Objective: to describe the neurological manifestations in patients with COVID-19.Methods: a search for information was carried out in the PubMed/Medline, SciELO, EBSCO, Lilacs and Scopus databases. A search strategy was applied by combining terms and using Boolean operators. Thirty references were chosen.Results: olfactory nerves and invasion of peripheral nerve terminals are suggested as routes of entry; the presence of severe neural symptoms associated with lesions of other organs and cytokine storm is also described. Headache was the most common neurological manifestation in patients with COVID-19, and rhabdomyolysis, acute hemorrhagic necrotizing encephalopathy, Guillain Barré syndrome, meningitis and encephalitis are rare neurological entities. In Guillain Barré syndrome, the literature suggests both a post infectious and para-infectious pattern.Conclusions: COVID-19 is associated with different neurological manifestations, including headache, dizziness, vertigo, vomiting, and alterations of consciousness, stroke and others not so frequent. These symptoms as a whole should be evaluated by healthcare personnel, with a view to their rapid detection and management, in order to guarantee the disappearance of sequelae that reduce the quality of life of patients, as well as to reduce the associated mortality records.
