This study stems from a doctoral thesis entitled “Gender and Literature in Textbooks for Argentine Secondary Schools (1984-2011)” sponsored by CONICET and directed by José Maristany and co-directed by Analía Gerbaudo. The study’s main objective was to reconstruct the way in which discussions on gender during certain pivotal moments in history impacted language and literature textbooks published for Argentine secondary schools. To this end, a book from the series “Todos protagonistas”, published during 2004 and 2006, is examined. Document analysis, historical review, and semi-structured interviews are used to explore the impact of the State and of educational publishers on sex/gender perspectives that appeared in these books. 

This paper proposes to address the various temporalities that Lola Arias's biodramatic project on the Malvinas War (the video installation Veterans, the documentary play Minefield and the film Theater of War) brings into play, in relation to the problems associated with temporality that are specific to the narrative of war in general and the Malvinas War in particular. In the first place, each of the works that make up the project is considered as an update of a power (Paolo Virno). Secondly, both the project as a whole and some of its scenes are approached as devices that allow to display what Didi-Huberman calls the fecundity of anachronism. The objective is to think about the novelty that this project introduces in relation to the anachronism that the combatants, designated at the same time as "war boys" and veterans, embody, and which translates into an image in their heads that, in a way of iteration characteristic of the trauma, is neither forgotten nor changed.

In Ricardo Piglia’s Los diarios de Emilio Renzi, there is a multiple negotiation between the autobiographical writing of the three hundred and twenty seven notebooks throughout his life, the work of editing and fictionalizing them in three volumes, the paratexts and the set of stories inserted throughout the narration. This negotiation, which is both a procedure and a compositional effect, entails friction between different times and on two levels. On the one hand, at the enunciative level: the original notebooks; the writing of the book and its publication between 2015 and 2017, and each of the three volumes (Años de formación, Los años felices and Un día en la vida). On the other hand, the level of what is represented: the thematization of the passage of time, certain anachronisms, the temporality of the fictional stories. Thus, differential temporalities are configured in life, the newspaper writing and the fiction that, over the long duration include transtemporal nuclei. From this temporal proliferation, I propose, between the documentary and the fictionalized, what I call the life effect, which suspends both the autobiographical and that assigned to literatura.

While current experiences around time seem dominated by speed, immediate obsolescence and the short-termism, the works that make up this dossier bring together heterogeneous aesthetic materials in a cultural series that outlines alternative ways of processing, inhabiting, reimagining temporality. Through the proposed analysis, literary, cinematographic and theatrical works of contemporary Argentina enter into a dialogue based on a common commitment to the long term, to long duration as a unit of measurement for their narrative projects. Thus, time recovers the lost centrality in narrative imaginations –and critical reflections–, but it does so in the form of questioning its perception, the discontinuity of its rhythms and chronologies, the interrogation of what it means to inhabit time and the opening to the different temporalities that are coupled, descompose or ignored behind this use of the singular.

The present work aims to rethink, putting the axis in temporality, the problems posed by the imagination of the end (of the current existing world). To do this, we propose an itinerary across the interventions around the pandemic expansion of COVID-19, which have put into play the logic of a radical end to address the singularity of this phenomenon. It seeks to analyze how the temporalities played out in these essays allows us to go in depth in the previous reflections on these imaginaries (particularly in their apocalyptic form). Secondly, the critical tools arising from this exploration are used to return to the ways of configuring the after the end in the trilogies published by Oliverio Coelho, Rafael Pinedo and Carlos Ríos between 2003 and 2015, emphasizing how they are constituted as long-term narrative projects that, through the way they articulate their episodes, enable a unique staging of the temporal thickness that is elaborated in the formulation of their endings. This highlights the way in which the hybridization operates on the pairs chronology / heterochrony, continuity / anachronism, successivity / simultaneity.

Un Parque Nacional es un espacio atravesado por diferentes corrientes de pensamiento que definen el significado de la naturaleza y su conservación. En relación a ello, el objetivo del artículo buscó identificar las diferentes ideas que influyen en la construcción y consolidación del conservacionismo asociado a este tipo de áreas protegidas, en periodos de intensa migración y de posterior avance neoliberal en América y Argentina. Particularmente, se profundizó en las dinámicas que construyeron los Parques Nacionales Los Glaciares y Perito Pascasio Francisco Moreno, en la Patagonia Argentina. Con este fin, se revisaron antecedentes y documentación concernientes a la temática, desde un estudio cualitativo e intrínseco de casos. A nivel teórico, la investigación se nutrió de aportes críticos al modo de producción dominante. Los resultados obtenidos permitieron reconocer la convergencia de corrientes ilustradas, románticas y nacionalistas en la construcción de estos espacios, que aún continúan manifestándose. Además, se detectó una intensificación del proceso de mercantilización de la naturaleza dentro de los Parques Nacionales, a través del incremento de su promoción turística.

The purpose of this work is to develop a proposal for the making of Geographic Information, relevant informative products concerning urban problems, and postings through a Web Viewer suggested to the Municipality of Villa Regina, province of Río Negro, Argentine Republic. This presentation is based on the need for institutions, organizations and the public in general to have access to virtual platforms for information and open data. Currently, the regulations seek to guarantee the effective exercise of the right of access to public information, promote citizen participation and public management transparency through the sanction of National Law 27,275. In terms of Geographic Information, although there is no law sanctioned in the Argentine Republic, at the international level the ISO Standards are a reference related to management and publication, and it is the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Argentine Republic (IDERA) that provides guidelines to carry it out. For its part, at the provincial level, it is the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Río Negro (IDERN) that guarantees the publication of Geographic Information. Although Geographic Information is of interest in the academic-scientific, institutional and governmental spheres for carrying out research and making decisions, the population in general (the citizens) also have the right to consume it for daily purposes. This consumption is possible from Web Viewers, free access geographic tools that allow users to generate interactive queries through layers, in many cases, with data and information relevant to daily life. Advances in the creation of databases of the town of Villa Regina, partial publication of results in a Web Viewer, as a contribution to the community and an attempt to generate a link with the government sphere are thus presented. In the present proposal, solutions to urban problems that were observed over the years with foundations framed in local regulations, are also proposed. Among the conclusions obtained, a positive response from the population is observed when having these tools, however, articulating the academic-scientific field and urban management policies is a challenge that continues to prevail currently.

The following report consists in the evaluation of different mobile apps related to the GPS navigation, in order to find the most pertinent for fieldwork, within the frameworks of lectureships in the technical-methodological area of Geography careers (Major and Professorship) and the Environmental planning expertise. It is considered that these applications are of great use since, on the one hand, they can give answers to concerns related to the location of the geography phenomena that arise before and during contact with the area of study. On the other hand, they represent an easy-to-reach tool for teachers and also students, bearing in mind it is free to download and there is a massification of technological devices that supports it. The methodological development begins with the search for five applications that were chosen based on users’ references and web searches. Then, it continues with its evaluation considering a series of defined criteria, taking into account the most common needs and requirements for a field work given in a geographical-environmental academic context. Final results indicate Locus Map is the best positioned application. However, there is no single application that meets each and every aspect and funtions considered as necessary for these professional practices.

El presente trabajo de investigación aborda, desde el enfoque paisajístico, el estudio de la cubierta vegetal en zonas de transición del Distrito Pampeano Austral. Se propone analizar la distribución de la vegetación representativa de un sector de espacios lacustres del sudoeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina.Dado que la vegetación presenta cualidades que permiten identificar y diferenciar patrones espaciales e impactos territoriales, el estudio resulta apropiado para la interpretación paisajística del área de estudio. El relevamiento se realizó mediante trabajo de campo, se aplicó el método cuadrados de vegetación en seis unidades de muestreo. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica de material especializado en el reconocimiento de plantas para la identificación de las mismas; además, se diseñó una planilla de relevamiento a fin de sistematizar información que permita especificar las características y el medio en el cual se desarrollan las especies, como también su distribución espacial.Los resultados registraron mayor presencia de especies nativas sobre introducidas, no obstante, cabe destacar que la flora nativa evidencia una significativa intervención antrópica en toda la región, producto del desarrollo de actividades agro productivas. Se observó un predominio exclusivo del estrato herbáceo, siendo las gramíneas las de mayor representatividad y cobertura. En este caso, se destaca la familia Poaceae con paja vizcachera o pasto puna (Stipa ambigua), gramilla o pata de perdiz (Cynodon dactylon) y cola de zorro (Setaria parviflora) como las especies más representativas. Abordar el estudio de la vegetación con una perspectiva paisajística resulta un aporte relevante orientado a obtener mayor conocimiento del área de estudio en pos de definir el potencial del paisaje que la caracteriza para diseñar propuestas de uso, manejo y conservación del mismo.
