This paper evaluates and compares the degree of web accessibility offered by national libraries of Europe and America. The "Web Accessibility Test (TAW)" is used to measure web accessibility. TAW use "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0" for evaluation. The results allow to conclude that no national library in Europe and America meets the level of accessibility to 100%, however, in both cases, most of them have an average higher than the rest of compliance. In addition, only it has been found some relationship between web accessibility of national libraries in Europe and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita in the country of belonging, and no correlation in the case of accessibility in America.

The present work tries to analyze the scientific production about cinema, contained in the Web of Science in the period 2000-2016, published in sources indexed under the category of Film, Radio, Television. After completing the relevant queries in the above mentioned database, a total of 12.514 works are extracted, which are studied to analyze data such as annual number of documents, countries of affiliation of their authors, related thematic categories, sources in which works are disseminated, languages of publication, type of documents and cites received by document.

Bibliometrics is the metric specialty that applied methods and models to units of information. For the multiple use of bibliometrics can be applied to any source of information. The audiovisual materials for their characteristics have a language that can be described from bibliometric method. There are any metric methodologies for the metric analysis of audiovisual documents. It is presented as objectives of the study 1) to establish a methodological guide for the metric analysis of audiovisual materials and 2) make a bibliometric study of the spots environmental theme, produced by the community television Centro Norte Televisión from 2005 to 2016. To obtain results are employed methods in theoretical and empirical levels, especially bibliometric method. A methodological guide for the metric analysis of audiovisual materials is established and is established a study of a case in order to validate the proposed guidance.

In this paper is showed how the TV Listings – the script of the newscast broadcasting- can be the only valid tool for the analysis and preservation of the audio-visual information in the audio-visual companies. The usual way to procceed is counting on more complex and stables documentation structures but there are a large variety of audio-visual companies with a lack of human resources and staff where the management is done by a few, so there is not a great dedication on this issue.TV lisiting will be analysed from different stages of the documentation process to demonstrate its usefulness. Likewise, in this paper, the documentation task in companies with economical possibilities and with enough human resources is showed briefly in order to prove the exisiting differences and the possibility offered by a correct management of these TV listings.

At present day to the use of Web 2.0 for academic purposes, have been generated alternative indicators to measure scientific output in these new platforms. At the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas is identified a considerable presence of professionals that make intensive use of social and academic networks in order to share their scientific production and promote their visibility. In the center of higher education is unknown the visibility and scientific impact by the users in social networks and Web 2.0 platforms. Is presented as objective of the study to describe the scientific activity of the Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas in Web 2.0, using alternative indicators. To obtain results are used methods in the theoretical and empirical levels, highlighting the bibliometric method. Are identified the users who have more publications and calculate him several indicators within academic networks Research Gate, Google Scholar and comparisons are made with the results obtained on both platforms.

This study analyzes the works present in the Web of Science published between the years 2000 and 2016, both inclusive, that treat on television, and that are included in sources contemplated under the WoS category denominated Film, Radio, Television. A total of 2.373 publications are located, which are analyzed to extract data such as annual number of documents, countries of production, thematic categories related to the category under study, main sources of dissemination of works, languages and documentary typologies preferred by authors, as well as work visibility based on the average citation per document.

The online catalogs (OPACs) belonging to the libraries of the Superior Music Conservatories are evaluated. To achieve this goal, we begin by analyzing the scientific literature on the subject. The study population is then identified through the consultation of the Directory of Spanish Libraries, the website of the Spanish Association of Higher Schools of Artistic Teaching and the Map of Conservatories of Music of Spain recently created. For the analysis of the catalogs we opted for the creation of an ad hoc evaluation instrument defining the following parameters: Presentation, retrieval of information, export of records, bibliographic services, user attention, diffusion and social OPAC. It concludes by highlighting the main results obtained and establishing a series of proposals for improvements.

The present study aims to give to know how managed institutional channels that the different Spanish universities have developed on YouTube as well as define the descriptive process applied to the content disseminated through such channels. A quantitative research technique was chosen for the study: the survey. In this way, developed a questionnaire that was sent to the set of public and private universities in our country. The questionnaire consisted of a total of twenty-one questions with which it was intended to identify the person or service which bears the responsibility for managing the channel, what objectives pursued academic institutions with their implementation in March, what type of resources are dedicated to it, who deals with the description of audiovisual content and how are assigned metadata besides if apply performance measurement systems. Obtained response rate was 57%. The data collected highlight the following: the predominance of the direct management by the Spanish universities of its institutional channel on YouTube; the dissemination of knowledge and the generation of a brand image are the main purposes of institutional channels; the scarcity of human and financial resources management; the versatile profile of your/s responsible/s; the absence of clear, common guidelines concerning the description of content; and the widespread application of metrics about University channels.

The work that identifies key elements for the creation of the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Audiovisual Heritage, UNESCO project presented to implement a tool Institute serve to safeguard the main contents of audiovisual collections presented region. At work the opportunity is identified, the need and the structure, organization and objectives of the Institute. Also some supranational institutions that could finance and maintain over time an institution that has the purpose of preserving the memory and Audiovisual Heritage of Latin American countries are identified. The aim therefore is to identify the characteristics of an institution for the preservation of audiovisual and sound collections that are at risk in Latin America.

An essential aspect to analyze any radio station is to know its technological equipment, and if we talk about university stations this is even more valuable, on the one hand, because of its potential training of future of communication professionals and on the other hand, because of its capacity of experimentation and innate innovation to these institutions . The aim of this study is to know the technical production tools used by Spanish university broadcasters. With this purpose, we have proposed a quantitative research to identify the most common instruments in university radio stations and to compare them with those which are used in a real work context. The main conclusion is that the university stations are equipped with professional technical means that can be found in a conventional radio station. This allow students to manipulate sound and to discover the possibilities of the radio language. In this way, the radio products made by the students involved in the stations contribute to strengthen their educational and formative trajectory.
