Resumen
Rem Koolhaas is a contexts’ conceptualizator or a concepts’ contextualizator? Probably one of the differentiating features of his activity as an architect is his capacity to understand the geopolitical and social context in which he is immersed and to anticipate those topics that are going to be determinants in the future. He is, with no doubt, the most influential living architect nowadays. The objective of this research is trying to discern the weight of these two ideas in his architecture and which of them is the trigger for the other. In a sense, it would respond to the eternal dilemma on the fallacy of the vicious circle.
To develop this reasoning and reach plausible conclusions, we will analyze in parallel two exhibitions curated by Rem Koolhaas that reflect two very different moments in his career: on the one hand, the exhibition "Content" in the year 2004 and on the other, the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2014. The goal is to verify if his visionary understanding of the context triggers his innovative conceptualization.

Resumen
The cultural landscape of the native peoples of the Andean highlands suggests sustainable strategies of adaptation to the territory, based on a deep and systemic knowledge of the geographical context that sustains it.
Terraced agriculture involves direct contact with the land, water and sun. Life in the highlands implies an adaptation to the climate of the desert, with high daily variations of temperature and abundant rains in summer. The importance of the natural resources that participate in the configuration of the territory generates in its inhabitants the need to provide care, and maintenance in exchange for the richness received and in exchange for protection whenever the climatic or geological factors pose a potential risk to their population. This is manifested in a way of ordering the territory that balances productive, ritual and community activities, in a protected and protected and sheltered environment.

Resumen
An intention to link with its urban and natural environment is the starting point of the Hospital project, integrating the lagoon's aquatic context as a substantial element. The use of geometry as an analysis device allows to open the project to a new conceptual understanding. This will lead to comprehend how the geometry of water movement is used in the Hospital generating a geometric mat-building of entwined swastikas. The horizontally stratified construction according to the level of the lagoon originates a lower space of intense relation with the water, which is altered by light reverberation used as an architectural manipulation mechanism linked to the geometry of water. This article is part of the research work developed for the Doctoral Thesis entitled "The geometry of water. Architectural mechanisms of space manipulation", where the Venice Hospital is included as one of the chapters and one of the main study cases analyzed.

Resumen
The article “Concept, Context, Content” written by Bernard Tschumi proposes an approach to the architectural practice based on the analysis of three main architectural components: concept, context and content, and wonders to what extent is the prevalence of one of these components among the others fair. This question opens up a space to consider the confrontation between concept and context in the contemporary architectural situation. In order to explore this confrontation, I propose to introduce a third term in the relation: ‘affect’, thus, allowing the binomial concept-context fade away and permitting the emergence of new possibilities. The following paper claims that an affective approach to architecture can generate more accurate responses to nowadays challenges.

Resumen
The project proposes to show the community the constructive processes of building a ship by displaying a sectioned ship having as a main objective to strengthen and develop the link between the city and its naval identity.
The museum rescues and gives an added value to the Piloto Pardo Ship being the first ship constructed in Chile which is in a state of deterioration and abandonment.
The strategy to exhibit the Ship is achieved by breaking it into parts, to disassemble the ship into its 4 most important parts (Blocks): Bow, Storage, Home, Machine.
This way it is possible to show what is never seen from a ship, its interior, its structure and intern functioning, its guts.
There are no public fluvial spaces in Valdivia, the project responds to the need having in mind the river as the main public space in Valdivia celebrating with a building that provides a covered space, which detonates cultural activities, recreational, and also activities related to navigation.

Resumen
The incremental proposal of Elemental, designed to achieve a transformation of the image of social housing in Chile, seeks to solve through a new housing model, various problems both in issues of demand organization, as in the quality of spaces and construction of the whole, under a policy of low cost but of high production around new solutions.
This allows a reflection on how the architecture project has been integrated into the urban and social context, which in the first instance was designed based on an ideal of uses of public and private space that contrasts with the arrival of the inhabitant and the successive transformations that are occurring in their environment in response to their future needs and expectations.

Resumen
The Salt Park project is presented as a public space alternative for the town of Cahuil which objective is to contribute to local development through the enhancement of the cultural and productive landscape around the salt ponds of the Nilahue estuary in Pichilemu. By recovering old abandoned salt ponds and taking advantage of the context inherent characteristics, the proposal sets out a versatile landscape, sensitive to the seasonal variations of the territory that coexists with salt activity during the summer season. The geometric order and the linearity of the saline tracts constitute the main input for the landscape language, while the architecture reinterprets the small infrastructures associated with the activity to house the outdoor program that is distributed throughout the park.
