The present research aims at the development and application, with students from high school, of an educational product for the teaching of sound waves under the discipline of Physics. This educational product, composed of three theoretical classes and one practical one, culminates with the assemblage of an experimental apparatus. That apparatus is easily mounted from low cost materials. It works by detecting the sound waves and converting them in figures alike the Lissajous figures. In order to evaluate this educational product the theory of meaningful learning from David Ausubel was used, as well as the qualitative research. That way, it was possible to investigate and to collect evidences of meaningful learning by the participating students.

This study aims to investigate whether and how the semiotic representation registers are employed in four strict sense dissertations produced by Brazilian institutions that address the development of combinatory reasoning through educational activities that had the participation of high school students. Therefore the study is based on qualitative meta- analysis in the semiotic representation registers and in solving strategies of combinatorial nature of activities. Through ten descriptors data analysis showed that the use of arrangement, combination and permutation formulas mainly mobilizes symbolic records and raises treatments in the same record type. In other strategies such as enumerating the requested settings, recursion, subdividing the problem, set variables and the translation of the problem in its equivalent there was a greater diversity of records, namely: natural language, figural, tabular and tree, therefore, a greater variety in the types of changes among them.

This article aims to present the results of a pre and post-test, parts of a study that investigated learning about basic statistical content from the application of a didactic sequence The participants were eight students (approximately 14 years old) of the 9th (ninth) grade of elementary school of a Private School of Paraná State, Brazil. All students participated in a pre-test , a didactic sequence and a post-test. The results in a pre-test revealed that the students had difficulties in calculating measures of central tendency, organize, analyze and build tables and graphs. After application of the didactic sequence was observed significant advances in learning Statistical content by participating students.

Pedagogical situations were done to carry out descriptive and evaluative studies as variants to measure the level of development of pre-school children about oral hygiene, in order to make an instrument taking into account the characteristics of this age group, diagnose, oral hygiene habits or evaluate the feasibility of an intervention strategy applied to modify modes and lifestyles. It was also considered that the means that can be applied in research of any branch of the stomatology to the children of these ages are insufficient, and the surveys and interviews that would not allow capturing the reality of the infants in the development that they possess should be ignored. It is new in providing a useful tool to measure with more credibility and with certainty the level of development of oral hygiene in children.

A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out during the first semester of the academic year 2016/2017, with the objective of analyzing the academic results of the students repeating in this discipline, in the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Guantanamo. The universe was composed of 165 students who were repeaters of the first year of the medical school, 137 students were used as sample, theoretical and empirical methods were used, a survey was applied to students with informed consent and interviewed teachers, obtaining as results, almost half of the repeating students were disapproved in the BBM discipline in the first semester of the current course, with great influence of those who had to study the 3 subjects of this discipline. The lack of motivation and a carefree attitude towards the study were the main causes to which the repeating students attribute the low academic performance. The teachers consider that there is a discrepancy between the previous knowledge that the university requires of its students and those that in fact they acquire from the preuniversity and that the student's motivation for the career is cause of the academic performance.

The present work is been partially of the execution of the Institutional Investigative Project for the evaluation of the impact of the methodology for the development of the intellectual capital in the services of health that it is executed in the University of Medical Sciences of Guantánamo from March of the 2016. Results of the execution of the investigative tasks are referred to analyze the specialized scientific bibliography, to synthesize the evolution and historical-tendencies, to diagnose the current state, to model and to develop the strategic conception in a qualitative study for the accreditation of careers of Medical Sciences, has been  starting from the most current approaches in this respect, those that constituted in primary information, investigators allow to propose a system of actions that properly implemented the improvement in the preparation of the base links to face so demanding process successfully.

  Se fue el campeón pero quedaron sus victorias, así es como Jorge Carpizo pasa del aspecto terrenal al de la eternidad. Salvo los enemigos de la rectitud, nadie que lo conoció pudo siquiera pronunciar una mala referencia sobre su humildad y educación. Se trató de un hombre flexible que supo tener mano dura y decir la verdad pesara a quien le pesara. Hoy descansa en paz nuestro ejemplar campechano a consecuencia de un problema preoperatorio. Su familia, sus amigos y sus discípulos, no creemos en su muerte, creemos en la viveza de sus posturas y de sus anhelos.Jorge Carpizo, pese a fallecer, sigue siendo la inspiración de muchas persona, estudiantes, profesores y funcionarios de gobierno. Nuestro campeón detentó con gran talento cargos públicos importantes en la República mexicana, nadie olvida su trabajo como Rector de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Ministro de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación, Presidente Fundador de la Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos, Procurador General de la República, Secretario de Gobernación y Embajador de México en Francia, entre otras comisiones no menos importantes como cuando asumió la Dirección del Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas, la Coordinación de Humanidades y la Abogacía General de la UNAM.

  En este artículo el autor reflexiona sobre la efectiva utilización de los instrumentos internacionales en la protección de la libertad de expresión, a la luz de las consecuencias operativas de la reforma en materia de derechos humanos de junio de 2011. En el texto se repasa el reconocimiento de esta garantía en la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos, el Pacto Internacional de los Derechos Civiles y Políticos, la Declaración Americana de los Derechos y Deberes del Hombre, la Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos y la Convención sobre los Derechos del Niño. Del mismo modo, se revisan instrumentos internacionales complementarios, conocidos como soft law, aplicables en este rubro. Finalmente el autor enuncia algunos casos de la Corte Interamericana que resultan paradigmáticos en materia de libertad de expresión.

  Actualmente se vive un proceso de transformación social y cultural en las formas tradicionales de comunicación y en los canales para transmitir el conocimiento. Las nuevas tecnologías de la información –tales como las redes telemáticas, la televisión satelital, internet y la realidad virtual– ofrecen nuevas posibilidades para una democratización del acceso a la formación. Esto pone en discusión los modelos y estructuras tradicionales de las instituciones educativas, ya que presenta notables potencialidades pero también fuertes riesgos. ¿Están preparados los docentes universitarios para participar en proyectos de modalidad a distancia con nuevas tecnologías? Se trata de un desafío central para desarrollar nuevos procesos educativos más modernos, flexibles y diversificados, es decir, un sistema educativo más democrático.

  El Derecho internacional público y particularmente el Derecho internacional comercial, se ha diversificado en las últimas dos décadas, particularmente desde la creación de la Organización Mundial del Comercio. Han quedado atrás los años en los que el Estado, como sujeto del Derecho internacional, jugaba el papel más importante en el concierto de las relaciones internacionales, dando paso a los llamados bloques regionales de comercio. Desde la perspectiva jurídica pareciera que estos bloques son sólo una ficción, ya que no existen (en ningún caso) sin la voluntad del propio Estado, sin embargo, estas creaciones institucionales o semi-institucionales son el resultado de una evolución del Derecho internacional público.Las diversas configuraciones que está adoptando este Derecho público internacional son analizadas en este texto con una visión lo más global posible, ya que los bloques regionales son una realidad en los cinco continentes. Esto ha hecho que el estudio del derecho internacional se analice cada vez más desde una perspectiva multiforme.
