Resumen
In the current curricular designs of secondary school and college a contextualized teaching of the Physics is promoted, addressing historical and epistemological aspects. In this essay I will base my point of view on the particularity of the didactic transposition as involved in this contextualization. Considering the science is a human production mediated by language, I will show how the work Life of Galileo by Bertolt Brecht can con-stitute a didactic resource to promote a contextualized teach of scientific subjects.

Resumen
This paper briefly describes some guidelines concerning the use and implementation of video games as edu-cational tools in Science teaching. Taking as starting points some key issues around the use of videogames in the classroom, commonplaces emerging from literature are described. The last section refers to methodological aspects to be considered in order to enhance the research on the impact of videogames over the learning process.

Resumen
The present work details the activities developed by the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA), the Latin American Network for Education and Training in Nuclear Technology (LANENT) and the Social Edu-cation Practical (PSE) in the generation of educational material for the approach to the nuclear issue in the classroom. When making a didactic material to take to the classroom, we must take into account several and in our case, in addition to the aggregation some special considerations for issues related to the preconceptions and resistance generated by the nuclear issue in society. The present work describes the characteristics of the material generated and the strategies to approach the educational community these themes.

Resumen
In this article, we make a historical journey that focus on the ideas that from the antiquity have influenced our conceptions of the world, understood in a broad sense, but oriented to those conceptions that have influenced in cosmologies, that is, in the scientific conceptions of the universe. We are referring to questions such as what is the universe made of? Or, what is there? The conceptions of the world have historically defined cultural traditions that permeate our culture and cross the scientific visions of any discipline. This course ends with the twentieth century mechanicism conception. We will do it further considering that our interest is centered in the teaching of the natural sciences. The conception of the world that has a citizen is determinant of the place that it will give to the sciences, for example, in the decision making or in its attempts to understand issues that concern to him.

Resumen
This work presents a review of the doctoral thesis of Professor Beatriz da Silva D'Ambrosio, presented in 1987, to the Faculty of Philosophy of Indiana University Bloomington / United States, to obtain a PhD in Philosophy. It is sought to evidence the signs of approach to the ideas of creative insubordination in her research, when the author analyzed the process of transferring the curriculum of Modern Mathematics from North American and European countries to Brazil. In the contextualization of the work Beatriz presents a reflection on the dependence of less developed countries on developed countries (in the production and dissemination of knowledge), the educational reality in these less developed countries and the communication of innovations from developed to less developed countries . From semi-structured interviews and bibliographic analysis, the author organizes and discusses the data collected in ten major themes. Based on these discussions, the author presents her conclusions related to the dynamics of the modern mathematics movement in Brazil and ends by indicating eleven important recommendations for moments of discussion, formulation and implementation of educational policies.

Resumen
A descriptive cross-sectional study was performed. The study universe consisted of 235 nurses who work in the family's medical offices, which were the sample. With the objective of proposing nursing actions for compliance with the Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program in Guantanamo municipality. Variables such as: compliance with the screening of cytology by nursing staff was used according to priorities, results of non-useful cytology performed and patients Treated in neck pathology. The screening of cytology according to priorities was performed at 100.6 %, non-profit at 3.7 % below the national average, recovered at 86.3 %, and only 13.6 % remained unpaid. The number of women in neck pathology decreased. A set of nursing actions were carried out based on up-to-date scientific knowledge.

Measurement in the educational field of academic achievement of university students is considered empirical and quantitative. Hence, the main purpose of such assessments is to control educational systems and evaluation based on objective criteria (Long, Wendt, & Dunne, 2011). The aim of this article was to develop an Item Bank for General Knowledge Test composed by 20 specific domains of knowledge. Considering that an effective construction of a test requires organization and systematization of activities, progress in six domains are presented. The sample was composed by 6,794 university students. 1,526 items from different domains were evaluated. To calibrate the items, a nonlinear exploratory factorial analysis was performed. Difficulty and discrimination indices were obtained according to the classical theory of tests and the item response theory, and reliability indices as well. It was observed that 68% of the items have moderate difficulty and 32% of them have high or low difficulty. Internal consistency of the instrument showed high reliability values, up to .70. Further studies are needed in order to expand the item sample, and review items that showed inadequate indexes on discrimination, difficulty and reliability. This instrument allows measuring academic performance on an interval scale level and reducing the misclassification of students.
