Resumen
Objectives: The goal of the present study was to test the mediator effect of body appreciation in the association between self-compassionate engagement and action and disordered eating behaviors. Methods: A total of 360 women from the general population, aged between 18 and 50, participated in this study, by completing online self-report instruments to evaluate self-compassionate engagement and action, body appreciation, and symptoms of eating psychopathology. Descriptive and correlation analysis among the variables in the study were conducted. Additionally, it was tested a path analysis model that hypothesized that the association between self-compassionate actions and disordered eating behaviors was mediated by the ability to accept and appreciate one’s body image. Results: Results revealed positive associations between self-compassionate engagement and action and body appreciation and negative ones between body appreciation and symptoms of eating psychopathology. Path analysis’ results revealed a negative and indirect effect between self-compassionate actions and disordered eating, via body appreciation, which explained 48% of the variance of disordered eating behavior. Conclusions: Present results suggest that self-compassionate actions hold a protective effect on eating behavior through higher levels of respect and appreciation toward body image, despite body weight, shape, and imperfections. The ability to act following self-compassionate motivations seems to contribute to higher levels of body image appreciation, which reflects in a lower susceptibility to adopt disordered eating attitudes and behaviors. The present study seems to represent an important contribution to research and clinical practice and underlines the importance of including strategies to develop self-compassionate and body appreciation competencies in programs to prevent and intervene in the area of eating psychopathology.

Resumen
This is a correction to Revista Portuguesa de Investigação Comportamental e Social, Volume 3, Issue 1, Pages 2-13, February 2017, https://doi.org/10.7342/ismt.rpics.2017.3.1.35. In the original publication of the article, the title in English was incorrectly published as: “Development and Study of Facial Validity of Questionnaire of Motivations to disclose/not disclose the nongenetic parenthood by gamete donation’s Questionnaire”. However, the correct title should read as: “Development of Motivations to Disclose/not Disclose the Non-Genetic Parenthood by Gamete Donation Questionnaire”. The editors regret the errors.

The 2nd issue of the third volume of the Portuguese Journal of Behavioral and Social Research (PJBSR) includes five articles with original scientific production. Being a non-thematic issue, PJBSR presents a diversity of studies in the areas of social sciences and behavior, whose approaches focus on positive and participatory dimensions.

Resumen
Objective: The present study aims to evaluate the items, and respective dimensions, of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-17) of Schaufeli e Bakker (2009) when applied to social workers exercising their profession in Portugal (UWES-17). Method: The Portuguese version of the UWES was applied to a sample of 1369 Portuguese social workers, 94% of which female and 6% male, with an average age of 39 years (standard deviation = 8.99). The most frequent academic qualification is graduation (63.8%) and in terms of professional activity they had, in average terms, 12.99 years of experience (standard deviation = 8.28). The reliability of the scale was assessed using the Chronbach alpha coefficient and the validity using the exploratory factorial analysis. Quantitative methodological research was used. Results: The results obtained agree with the values presented in previous studies regarding their internal consistency, both of the 17 items that make up the scale and of its three dimensions ("force", "dedication" and "absorption"). The UWES-17 in this study presents a factorial structure of three factors, just like the original study, but the constitution of the items of each dimension is different. The UWES-17 scale presents good psychometric characteristics and good internal consistency. Conclusions: The UWES-17 scale presents good psychometric characteristics and good internal consistency.

Resumen
Introduction: Parenting is a highly valued social role. However, for couples dealing with infertility this role can involve fertility treatments, and for some of them donor-assisted reproduction. For couples who use third party reproduction, another concern can emerge: tell the child about the donor conception, or preserve secrecy. Although arguments for decision-making have been studied, in Portugal research on this topic is scanty. Objectives: The current study sought out to develop the Motivations for Disclosing/Not Disclosing Non-genetic Parenthood through Gamete Donation (QMRDG), which is designed to assess motivations that influence the decision-making process of parents who use gamete donation regarding disclosure to his/her son/daughter his/her conception. Method: This exploratory study was conducted in a sample of 21 participants with age ranging from 30 to 49 years, who undergone third-party reproduction treatment and became parents. Participants completed a set of questionnaires through an online platform. Results: QMRDG revealed clear and comprehensible items. Data showed that most parents did not disclose to their child their donor conception due to the fact that the child is still very young, but their intention seems to be to disclose in the future. For parents who have disclosed, core motivations for that decision are based on the importance of honesty and on the right to know genetic origins. Concerning motivations for not disclosing the little importance given to genetics emerges as one of the most important ones. Discussion: The QMRDG can be a promising tool in clinical practice and research with people who are pursuing fertility treatment with gamete donation. In this investigation parent’s tendency was to disclose to child donor conception.

Resumen
The establishment of the Company of Jesus in the main commercial towns of the Basque Country was a complex and conflictive process. This essay takes into consideration those three processes, developed in a context of vivid confessionalism and active Atlantic trade, focusing on the role played in the conflict by both Jesuits´ spiritual and indoctrination objectives and the targets of the Catholic Basque mercantile elite with strong links in the international and multi-confessional trade.

Resumen
As historical sources, the relations ad limina make clear how the Counter-Reformation came into effect within catholic territories; they also show the means used by the archbishops to erase the remnants of past dissidences. This study intends to analyse the attempts to build and reinforce the political and religious authority of the archbishops of Mainz. Such attempts cannot be dissociated from an important enterprise of architectural building and from the creation of close relations with other catholic princes. They can also manifest themselves as a speech intending to exalt the power of the archbishops. Thus, to put an end to dissidences allows the archbishops of Mainz to be part of processes that go beyond questions of internal or religious politics.
