Resumen
This work aims to describe the place of emotions in Plato's philosophy with a special focus on his reflections on music and the eminently pedagogical orientation that he adscribes to it. Starting from an analysis of different moments of his ouvre in which the musical phenomenon is discussed, we propose to examine his theory in order to identify its distinctive features and, above all, the very particular place it occupies in his educational model, specially in regard to the case of guardians. Since it is not the discipline itself that concerns Plato, we argue that it is possible to point out that his music theory is, in fact, an ethics of music, insofar as it is oriented according to the Greek ethos, operating as a pedagogical tool that allows inducing behavioral changes in those who receive it.

Resumen
The aim of this paper is to propose a metaphysical approach to the philosophical method as a process of thought and, in that way, to affirm that the philosophical research get a foundation in the relation notion as a metaphysical absolute. This thesis that I hold, shows, that it is a fundamental ontological expression, and that the notion of a portion is the concept whit a minimum of sense for all ontology of multiplicity and gnoseological criteria. If I assume those as premises, I deduce from them the notion of proportion (analogy). This makes it possible to think in a congruent link between an ontological word calls a and a gnoseological criterion calls b.

El 17 de noviembre de 2020 murió, víctima del coronavirus, Javier Hernández-Pacheco Sanz, quien fuera mi profesor, mi director de tesis, mi mentor en tantas cosas y –me gusta pensar– mi amigo. No es fácil decir algo de quien acaba de fallecer sin que, en la maraña de anécdotas, parezca que uno está realmente hablando de sí mismo.

Resumen
Our ethnographic research (2019-2020) around the exhumations of mass graves of the Franco regime in the Paterna cemetery (Valencia) raised a series of questions about the importance of making a biographical approach to the scenes of violence and perpetration. This provides us with a powerful analysis tool that allows us to go beyond the mere temporal sequence of events and spaces, giving them their own agency. In addition, it allows other memories to be placed at the center of the debate, those of women, which, due to the characteristics of the current exhumation processes, have been moving to the margins.

En la introducción de Hypokeímenon, Javier Hernández-Pacheco afirma que “[… ] la filosofía no es un acto solitario, una reflexión intimista, encerrada en la inmanencia de lo que después se llamará conciencia, sino que desde el primer momento asume la forma de un discurso. Es algo que alguien dice a alguien” (2003 27). En este libro, escrito con zancadas de gigante y atención de tejedora, Hernández-Pacheco pretende rehabilitar lo que en el pensamiento filosófico hay de “dimensionalidad social” (Id.), frente a la dominante del solus ipse, que recorre la historia de la filosofía de Descartes a Husserl, y que identifica el ejercicio de pensar con la autosuficiencia y la intimidad del sujeto, abstraído en sus elaboraciones mentales frente a una estufa o entregado a sus ensoñaciones de paseante solitario.

El presente tetxo reseña el libro Facticidad y ficción. Ensayo sobre cinco secuencias fotográficas de perpetración de la Shoah, del autor Anacleto Ferrer, publicado en 2020 en la editorial Shangrila. Se abordan los documentos del perpetrador y las ideas o reflexiones fundamentales que el libro aporta acerca de ellos, así como el elemento común que los une: el estudio de las fotografías del perpetrador nos acerca a su mirada, y con ello al punto ciego que lo constituye como sujeto.

Resumen
This article is part of an ongoing research on the representation of genocides in documentary cinema. In this instance, the characteristics of the testimony of the victimizer in documentary cinema will be investigated, mapping different productions. A possible scheme will be presented that will pay attention to the narrative matrix of the testimonies and the modes of responsibility that are exposed therein. In this way, two main poles will be presented, oscillating between the interview –more linked to providing “objective” information– and the confession work –where the perpetrator meditates on his subjectivity–.

Resumen
In this paper I analyze two methods of reading archives: ‘against the grain’ and ‘along the grain’. First one focuses mainly on reveling what is marginalized and omission in archive’s dominant narration. Whereas the other carefully studies logic of an archive itself. As such, reading against the grain lets reveal victims’ forgotten stories, while reading along the grain helps to understand perpetrators’ perspective that may further allow to better recognize mechanisms of organized violence. I apply both this approaches to the album War against War (1924) by Ernst Friedrich that contains archival photographs from World War I.
