Resumen
In Portuguese literature, the term “infocommunication” is conceptualized as a process, a mediation tool, and a social behavior that directly influences the individual’s conduct in the current information and communication environment. This includes the understanding, processing, and sharing of received information. The concept describes how technology impacts communication and how new technologies and multimedia services are transforming the way people use and communicate information. Since the mid-2010s, terms such as “infocommunicational beings” and “infocommunicational behavior” have emerged. This article aims to synthesize the particularities of the “infocommunication” concept and the associated terms present in Portuguese-language works. We conducted an integrative literature review, collecting documents that refer to this term and describing the presented conceptualizations. The results show a list of 22 terms related to infocommunication, their descriptions, relationships, and meanings. Understanding these terms enriches the dialogue among researchers by broadening the comprehension of these concepts and the discussion about their scope.

Resumen
The article analyzes media responses to disinformation during the recent presidential elections in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico between 2018 and 2023. The study concentrates on the propagated disinformation narratives and the strategies that diverse social actors developed to counteract them. Through an exploratory and documentary analysis, we encountered that disinformation narratives focused mainly on discrediting candidates and raising doubts about the legitimacy of electoral processes. Among the several implemented responses to counter this, data verification was the most common strategy. Moreover, verification platforms, communication media, civil society organizations, governments and electoral institutions collaborated to identify and deny false information. The research underscores the importance of ongoing investigation and the development of tailored counter-disinformation strategies for each country, emphasizing the need to enhance citizens’ information literacy skills in the face of evolving technologies like artificial intelligence.

Resumen
This article, derived from the research “Towards a reconfiguration of the records appraisal process in Colombia, based on theoretical currents and archival regulations (1960-2020)”, analyzes the influences of the archival theoretical approaches theory of value, documentation plan, and macro-appraisal in the guidelines and appraisal methodology in the country since the General Archive of the Nation creation in 1989 until the last regulation issued in 2019. The methodology used was documentary research, which included the review of authors related to these three theoretical approaches in addition to the Colombian archival regulations related to appraisal. We conclude that Colombian regulations have been mainly influenced by the theory of value; although they also incorporate elements of the other two approaches in documentary heritage configuration.

Resumen
This paper analyzes how artificial intelligence can assist in selecting audiovisual documents in television networks to streamline the documentation process. The objective is to demonstrate how, where, and with which applications artificial intelligence can intervene to optimize the audiovisual selection process, particularly in news programs. To achieve this, we conducted a literature review and a state-of-the-art analysis of Spanish audiovisual companies, inferring how artificial intelligence could aid in automating the selection process and identifying current tools that could enhance this process. The results show that although better algorithms still need to be developed, there are potentialities within artificial intelligence technology to automate the process.

Resumen
The development of information literacy, referring to access, evaluation and use of information, has a significant role in teacher training. In this respect, we share a study whose objective was to analyze aspects of the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of information literacy research in teacher training, a challenge undertaken from a 2013-2023 systematic review of 24 Scopus and Web of Science articles. The results reveal the prevalence of the quantitative approach. Also, research objectives were framed into four study axes: evaluation, training, the relationship with other competencies, and other actors.

Resumen
This text addresses an issue in the cataloging of fine arts collections in Mexico, particularly those that belong to the federal government or that are under guardianship of the State, and bear or might be assigned the category of ‘artworks’. Documents by the Superior Audit of the Federation (Auditoría Superior de la Federación) have consistently pointed out that the cataloging of such objects lags behind schedule. Such delay can be explained, at least partially, by the use of legal criteria, in which polysemy, theoretical definitions, management needs or cultural customs create unsolved ambiguity in stating object ‘types’. Since ‘type’ entails a crucial disjunction in the cultural heritage sphere, its lack of precision ends up begetting incoherence in modern digital systems. The conclusion of this paper discusses the convenience of making Type a repeating field and the possibility of including some metadata to properly define ‘types’, while warning about the consequences and difficulties of building a system too complex.

Resumen
The work conveys the event that occurred at the beginning of the tenth century in the Abbey of Saint Gall: the mystic, saint and martyr Wiborada [ca. 861 A. D. - 926 A. D.] experienced the vision of the arrival of Magyars to the monastery, which helped to save and protect the manuscripts in her library. Thereupon, the destruction of the Library of the Abbey of Saint Gall can be conceived as a corpus sic, anima non. The study begins by addressing medieval monastic libraries, followed by the Regulae, around which monasticism is based, and concludes with the martyr figure. To achieve this, the study alludes to the Casus sancti Galli by Ekkehard IV and the Vitae Sanctae Wiboradae by Walter Berschin. The work constitutes a tribute to the life and work of Wiborada.

Resumen
Recently, new phenomena have appeared in the flow of information, such as post-truth and misinformation, as well as the physical isolation of people and documents. This has led to an increased demand for and satisfaction with remote services. The above raises the question of whether the model proposed as the gnoseological foundation for documentary information science, the documentary information system, continues to fulfill its function. The thesis defended here is that there is no paradigm shift, rather, the model remains valid, although certain concepts, such as metasystem, documentary, information, and the information professional, require clarification.

Resumen
Generative artificial intelligence is impacting scholarly communication processes and transforming the conventional methods by which research is conducted, evaluated, and disseminated. However, there remains a lack of clarity regarding how generative artificial intelligence is being integrated into scholarly communication and who the key stakeholders are in its integration and responsible use. In response, this study aims to explore, through a scoping review, how generative artificial intelligence tools are being incorporated into scholarly communication and publishing processes, the challenges associated with their integration, and the key stakeholders involved. A scoping review was conducted to identify the most relevant information on the integration and use of generative artificial intelligence in scholarly communication in specialized databases; it included a total of 90 studies that responded to the research questions. Findings indicated that generative artificial intelligence is being utilized to translate, write, and edit academic articles; in addition to expediting peer review processes. Ethical concerns related to algorithmic bias, plagiarism, and difficulties recognizing artificial intelligence-generated content and the lack of globally accepted policies regarding its use were also evidenced. Similarly, several key stakeholders in the integration and use of generative artificial intelligence were identified, including researchers, editors, peer reviewers, and academic libraries, among others.
