Resumen
Bone marrow transplantation, currently known as hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT), involves the infusion of stem cells healthy hematopoietic cells to patients with dysfunctional bone marrow, diminished or compromised by hematological neoplasms. Since its rst exploration in humans in the 1950s based on the results obtained in animal models, more than one million procedures have now been performed in Europe and collaborating countries. Early detection of complications and histocompatibility typing (HLA) with which potential donors can be better-selected thanks to an international donor registry network of bone marrow and the advancement of technology in terms of support treatment.

Resumen
Introduction: In Peru, adolescents tend to use contraceptive methods (CM) less frequently, constituting a subgroup at risk of unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.
Methods: Quantitative, observational, analytical-cross-sectional study corresponding to a secondary analysis of data from women aged 15 to 19 from the ENDES 2018-2020. To quantify the association, Poisson regression was used for robust variances, calculating the Prevalence Ratio (PR) in its crude (PRc) and adjusted (PRa) forms, with a 95% confidence interval.
Results: 28.4% did not use MC, there was a significant association for the variables without a partner (Rpa: 2.49 CI: 1.99-3.11) and zero children (Rpa: 2.73 CI: 2.22-3 .35).
Conclusions: The factors associated with the lack of CM in female adolescents were without a partner and zero children, with a higher prevalence of the lack of CM.

Resumen
The last year and a half, it was shown that the lack of use of data and information of origin in the health sector, produced one of the greatest catastrophes that humanity has experienced in the last 100 years. The aforementioned, due to a failure of vision, which unfortunately is seen as a problem not only of national security, but also of human security. Intelligence is the discipline that carries out the planning, collection, analysis and generation of products for the decision-making of the leaders of a country, sector, organization or society. This can be used very well in the health sector, applying the intelligence cycle model used in the security or financial field. That is, generating products from the analysis of raw information, lines of action, strategies and prospective scenarios that guide the decision maker to carry out health policies that comply with the human security strategies recommended by the United Nations Organization (UN) for a sustainable development.

Resumen
Mr. EditorThe World Health Organization defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. This definition, first proposed in 1948, has evolved and currently includes more domains than those originally cited by the WHO. In fact, contemporary definitions of health focus on the person’s ability to deal with life’s demands through a balance between the absence of disease and impairment, and their ability to function in their social and physical environments. Regardless of the definition employed, human health does not exist in a vacuum, as it represents the total socioeconomic realities of the person.

Resumen
Introduction:Inadequate hospitalizations (IH) alter hospital management and much more when they are carried out in the elderly population; therefore, identifying the factors is relevant at the national and local levels.
Objective: To determine the factors associated with IH in older adults in the Emergency Service (ES) of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins National Hospital (HNERM) during 2017.
Methods: Observational, analytical, cross-sectional study. A sample of 414 patients randomly selected from 18 250 patients admitted during the study period was selected. Collection forms were used, and medical records were reviewed. With the help of the SPSS 25 program, the Chi-square test was performed, and the simple Prevalence Ratio (PR) and adjusted (Rpa) were calculated. The level of signicance was 5%.
Results: The frequency of IH was 11,8%. The epidemiological factors associated with IH were ages from 75 to 84 years RPa=5,80 (2,20-15,27) and from 85 to more years RPa=8,22 (2,76-24,44), the female sex RPa=2,20 (1,11-3,10), the occupation as a housewife RPa=3,39 (1,13-10,17) and the accompaniment of the spouse RPa= 9,16 (2,59-32,38), child RPa= 3,72 (1,14-12,14), parents RPa= 8,50 (1,88-38,44) and siblings RPa=22,42 (5,78-86,97). The organizational factors associated with IH were internist treating physician RPa=2,90 (1,38-6,07) and admisiion morning shift RPa=4,84 (1,67-14,06).
Conclusions: There are factors associated with IH in older adults in the SE of HNERM.

Resumen
Dear Editor
Chronic diseases have occupied a leading place in global morbidity and mortality statistics, given the increase in life expectancy and access to new therapeutic technologies and advanced drugs. Cardio-metabolic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and obesity, among others, are clear examples of both the impact and the advent of new therapeutic opportunities. In this study, the effect of a lifestyle program on the cardiovascular risk of enrolled patients was evaluated.

Resumen
Dear Editor:We have read with great interest the article "Intermittent fasting scheme and reduction of anthropometric measurements, lipid profile, blood pressure and cardiovascular risk" published by Dr Javier Wong-Gonzáles et al, in number 1, volume 22 of your magazine; where the purpose of the research focuses on the assessment of the efficacy of intermittent fasting as a strategy for the modification of anthropometric parameters and cardiovascular risk variables; We would like to contribute the importance of defining the times of the day in which the periods of food intake and abstinence are framed during intermittent fasting, since the induced metabolic effects are highly dependent on circadian fluctuations.

Resumen
Introduction: The Changes in lifestyles predispose university students to face constant stressful situations and to modify their eating habits and physical activity, with possible alterations in the body mass index.
Objective: To evaluate the relationship between body mass index and stress, physical activity and eating habits in medical students.
Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive observational study. 306 medical students participated from first to sixth year: 153 with normal weight, 121 with overweight and 32 with obesity, average age 21,95 years. The body mass index was considered and the questionnaires were applied: Global Perception of Stress Scale for University Students (Adapted in Peruvian university students), International Physical Activity Questionnaire and the modified Reyes Food Frequency Questionnaire, using Google software Forms.
Results: The proportion of normal weight was 50%, overweight 39,50% and obese 10,50%. According to eating habits, people with body mass index significantly increased their consumption of soft drinks (p = 0,030), meat (p = 0,017) and alcohol (p = 0,005), more frequent breakfast (p = 0,037) and less consumption of legumes (p = 0,049). The levels of distress were lower in the obese (p = 0,055); there was no significant difference in physical activity.
Conclusions: The elevation of the body mass index in medical students was associated with inadequate eating habits. Low levels of distress and physical activity were more frequent in obese people, although without significant difference.

Resumen
Introduction: The Peruvian health system usually has deciencies, This is how, since 2008, we have worked on the model of Public-Private Partnerships in Health (PPP), which seeks the best performance of the health system before being applied in the rest of similar hospital centers of the Peruvian health system.
Objective: To compare the hospital management of a PPP model and a traditional model in two Essalud level II-2 hospitals.
Methods: Mixed, non-experimental, and cross-sectional research carried out in two establishments, Hospital Alberto Barton Thompson (HABT) as PPP model and Hospital Luis Negreiros Vega (HLNV) as the traditional model, during the hospital management period from 2016 to 2018, six public officials and 150 external users. Hospital management was evaluated through hospital efficiency, nancial management, and user satisfaction.
Results: In-hospital efficiency, the HABT presented below-standard medical-hour performance (3.31 in 2018), and lower compared to the HLNV (4.74in2018).Innancialmanagement,forbothmodelsofpublic-privatemanagement,itisagreedthat procurement plans must be carried out in advance, with common problems: ignorance of operational plans, poor epidemiological surveillance, and insufficient strengthening of skills and competencies; likewise, the APP modality spends three times more compared to the traditional modality.
Conclusion: A PPP modality health facility, such as the HABT, does not seem to present better results than a traditional format facility such as the HLNV.

Resumen
Introduction: Pregnancy is a time of physiological, psychological, personal and social changes for women. The role of the emotional and psychological aspect encompasses the entire period because as fetal development advances, the mother-baby relationship strengthens, making the mother vulnerable.
Objectives: To collect, describe and analyze relevant information on mental health in pregnant women, both at different stages of gestation and before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: A literature search was conducted through PubMed, Google Scholar and Scielo using terminology compiled from MeSH and DeCs.
Results: Pregnancy due to hormonal changes causes the presence of anxiety and depression that worsen as the stages of fetal development progress. These psychological disorders have greatly increased during the COVID-19 pandemic due to several reasons such as the relationship with the couple, uncertainty, fear, anguish and increasing phobia about contagion.
Final considerations: Pregnant women are a vulnerable population, whose mental health has always been affected and nowadays it has been much more affected due to the pandemic, therefore they need better attention in the health sector such as providing them with reliable information on measures to alleviate the burden of stressors, since they not only carry the anguish of their health but also that of the fetus.
