RESUMENLa escultura pública en Extremadura se expresa habitualmente con fórmulas tradicionales y figurativas. Entre sus temas predominan los retratos y los tributos a personajes históricos. Hay también un fuerte componente alegórico, orientado a ensalzar principios democráticos y de convivencia. Y destacan por último aquellas manifestaciones que tienden a recuperar señas de identidad, a través de la monumentalización del mundo laboral y rural. La escultura abstracta es más reciente y tiene menor presencia en este panorama, pero adquiere una dimensión relevante. Primero porque introduce lenguajes plásticos más innovadores. Y también porque ha permitido la incorporación de nombres importantes de la escultura española, en diálogo con artistas del ámbito local. Interesan además la relación entre la abstracción y su poder evocativo y su difícil recepción por la ciudadanía. El artículo reflexiona sobre estos temas a partir de una selección de ejemplos significativos.PALABRAS CLAVE:Escultura, Arte público, Abstracción, Arte abstracto, Extremadura.ABSTRACTPublic sculpture is usually expressed in Extremadura (Spain) with figurative and traditional formulas. Among its themes, portraits and tributes to historical figures are protruded. There is also a strong allegorical component, aimed at extolling democratic principles of coexistence. And, finally, those events that tend to recover identity are highlighted, through the monumentalization of the working world and rural themes. The abstract sculpture is more recent and has less presence in this scene, but it acquires a relevant dimension. First, it introduces innovative visual languages. And also because it has allowed the incorporation of important names in Spanish sculpture, in dialogue with local artists. Also is interesting the relationship between abstraction, and its evocative power, and its difficult reception by the public. RESUMENLa Guerra Civil Española supuso, además de la pérdida de miles de vidas, la paralización y el cambio de rumbo del hasta entonces prometedor devenir arquitectónico español. Las generaciones de arquitectos que comenzaron sus estudios pocos años antes del inicio de la contienda sufrieron, por un lado, la interrupción de su formación y, por otro, a su regreso a las aulas, el cambio hacia una arquitectura con un estilo impuesto y artificioso. Uno de estos integrantes fue Buenaventura Vicente, quien inició sus estudios en 1934, pero no se tituló hasta 1948. Así, su obra constituye un ejemplo explícito del viraje del historicismo hacia nuevas y variadas maneras de entender la modernidad en materia de arquitectura, de las que dejó buena muestra en la capital del Tormes, a las que se dedica este artículo.PALABRAS CLAVE:Historicismo, Modernidad, renovación arquitectónica, arquitectura de desarrollo en altura, Salamanca.ABSTRACTThe Spanish Civil War caused, in addition to the loss of thousands lives, the paralysis and then change of the, thus far promising, course of the country’s architecture. Facing this situation were architects who suffered from the interruption of their education and, upon their return to the School of Architecture, the change towards an imposed and artificial style. One of those was Buenaventura Vicente, who began his education in 1934, but only completed it in 1948. RESUMENEl presente artículo pretende ser una sucinta antología por más de 500 años de arte ferrarés vinculado al concepto de lo metafísico. Desde el primer renacimiento a la inmediata contemporaneidad, lo metafísico se ha erigido como seña identitaria de la rica producción artística ferraresa, sirviendo de constante inspiración a los grandes artistas locales de la región emiliana. Lo que sigue, intenta poner de relevancia este hecho, remitiéndonos a los orígenes de esta querencia por el gusto ontológico, contraviniendo la afirmación oficial de lo metafísico como arte exclusivamente contemporáneo y dechiriquiano. También se abordará el concepto postmetafísico en el cine de Antonioni, cuestionándonos, nuevamente, el deceso de dicho movimiento.PALABRAS CLAVE:Ferrara, Metafísica, De????Roberti, De Chirico, Antonioni.ABSTRACTThis article is a brief anthology of over 500 years of Ferrara????s art linked to the concept of the metaphysical. From the early Renaissance to the immediate contemporaneity, the metaphysical has emerged as the identifying attribute of the rich Ferrarese artistic production, serving as constant inspiration to great local artists from Emilia region. What follows, tries to highlight such fact, refering back to the origins of this fondness for the ontological taste, contravening the official concept, which states that the metaphysical art is a dechiriquiano, strictly contemporary art. RESUMENEl estudio de la obra fílmica obliga a recurrir a múltiples disciplinas, o lo que es lo mismo, reclama una adaptación del método interdisciplinar de Panofsky al campo de los estudios fílmicos. Hasta la fecha, esta empresa ha sido llevada a cabo de forma parcial e inconclusa. RESUMENEl pintor Evaristo Valle comenzó su carrera artística con una presencia en diversas revistas gráficas. Sin resumen

In dialogue with the primary perspectives that have been developed to address the modernization of Latin America’s cities, this article addresses the vision of Mexico City’s urban working class as represented in the broadsheets reprinting the lyrics of popular corridos, which consistuted a tremendously rich cultural phenomenon. By examining the widespread production of these broadsheets throughout the bulk of the Porfirato up through the post-revolutionary period, this article contributes to an understanding of the working class’s experience of living in the capital. Three topics dealt with in the corridos are analyzed: housing problems, neighborhood social relations and changes in gender dynamics as a consequence of the precarity of family income in the new urban enviroment.

This article scrutinizes the way a Mexican-Guatemalan population has experienced multiple moves over several decades. Longitudinal data was gathered through ethnographic methods to elicit life-long trajectories. The protracted approach makes possible to understand individual mobilities within wider frameworks of analysis, for instance the family group. Because family, particular circumstances, or the life stage of the migrant, affect decisions regarding mobility, in-depth comprehension of personal trajectories gets complicated. At the crux of this complex issue is that interrupted, circular and return migrations, among many types of mobility, become embedded in processes such as contemporary mixed flows and onward-migration.

This article is part of  the scientific results of  an institutional project that  deals about pedagogical professional orientation in the Cuban province of Sancti Spíritus. Some conception about professional orientation are taken as references, and it is defined a construct and the main empiric contrastable parameters were defined.  This construct was validated by expert criteria.The main results of the application of an educative strategy for developing  pedagogical professional orientation with multifactorial  approach are exposed
