Resumen
This study summarizes key informants’ assessments of the repercussions of the European convergence in Advertising and Public Relations degrees in Spain. Academics’ opinions about the development of degree curricula are gathered through focused interviews; noting changes to educational offerings; the relationship between universities and the business sector or the interest of the academy in the study of the profession. The results highlight the specificity of the degree as opposed to the generality of the bachelor degree as the most significant change. The selection of subjects at public universities has been conditioned by teaching staff. The convergence process has not encouraged the study of professional profiles and the relationship between the university and the professional sector is still inadequate.

Resumen
In 2010, after five hundred days without any stable form of government, a group of Belgian citizens from a wide range of social backgrounds launched a citizenship summit called 'G1000'. The aim of the event was to create citizen involvement in politics by stimulating participants to take part in debates about social issues and by applying innovative techniques of deliberative democracy. In order to verify whether the model mentioned meets the criteria of an “online democratic-deliberative” experiment, this article carried out a quantitative analysis of the G1000 based on the work of Fishkin, Chadwick and Habermas. According to the majority of authors who have contributed to the topic, including the spokesperson and organizer of the event, Vincent Jacquet the results demonstrate that the G1000 summit is, in fact, a genuine democratic-deliberative initiative.

Resumen
We hereby examine the main thematic and methodological characteristics of scientific research on the strategies of parental mediation of online activities of Spanish minors. The work is based on systematic literature review of articles, reports and other documents that have been published in the last decade taking into account both the academic and institutional projects. After analyzing the most recent contributions on parental mediation in Spain in comparison to neighbouring European countries we prepare a report on the main deficiencies, gaps and biases in this field. We note little development and maturity in this field of research in Spain.

Resumen
The fight for viewers has led to a spectacular range of television content on offer where boundaries of genres have disappeared giving rise to new formats of hybrid television programmes. This has given a new lease of life to interviews as a genre of infotainment. The present article analyses the programme ‘En tu casa o en la mía’, a new type of interview of famous personalities which combines information and entertainment with elements that are very similar to the info-show. We shall embark on a study of this media product, its narrative, treatment, structure and the technique used so as to describe the elements that make it an example of gender hybridization in today’s television programmes.

Resumen
Male violence against women is humankind’s most notable example of lack of affection. Myths that have blamed women for the expulsion from Paradise, genital mutilation, domestic violence, the use of sexual violence as weapon of war, or women being stoned, are all reflections of the circumstances in which women are defenseless victims. In Spain, it appears that the influence of the media has failed to penetrate deeply into the social conscience, something that is needed in order to tackle this scourge. The aim of this research is to determine the influence that news-related television contents have had upon gender violence and, more specifically, the way in which the aggressor is depicted in audiovisual storytelling. This study encompasses both a quantitative methodology –which has been gathered from the analysis of the 3660 yearly news editions from five national Spanish networks- and a qualitative methodology as well, through the use of comprehensive interviews of the individuals who closely work with this social problem.

Resumen
This research aims to evaluate the degree of development and the potential of data-driven journalism in sports reporting through the study of two of the most outstanding native digital news media in Spain, which are El Español and El Confidencial. To that end, we have analysed the content of all the reports published by both of these media outlets from February 2015 to July 2016, and have also carried out interviews with their respective sports and data editors in order to see if, in fact, advanced statistics and data visualization techniques are being used in sports journalism today, something that is already occurring in other areas of information reporting and in other countries.
