The Museum of the Insurgence, inherited historic building located in the community of Pabellon de Hidalgo, Aguascalientes state, central Mexico, is been severely damaged by an active surface fault. In this work, a simple methodology was implemented to quantify and monitor fault-induced displacements that are used to perform a stress lineal analysis through numerical modeling to assess structural damages, identify critical points, and perform a future approximated prediction of the structural critical situation in a short term. The methodology includes a revision of the last structural restoration of the building, which was designed for the coexistence between the building and the fault that affects it. By placing crack gauges in strategic structural elements of the building along the fault trace, the quantifying evaluation of the fault-induced displacements was achieved. Displacements were measured in a lapse of 202 days reaching values equal to 6 mm and 10 mm vertically and horizontally, respectively. Based on the results of the modeling analyses, which consider the actual dynamic conditions of the fault effect, the building is being critically damaged on the base of the masonry columns closer to the fault, where in a mid-term period, fault-induced stresses may exceed the masonry strength. Keywords: Geologic fault; Museum of the Insurgence; valley of Aguascalientes; numerical analysis

Resumen
Famous for its association with the stigmas of poverty, crime, immigration, drug-trafficking and prostitution with posters, the Mouraria district, located in the center of the Portuguese capital, between the years 2011 and 2014 was the subject of an ambitious urban revitalization project promoted by the city hall of Lisbon. In the image and likeness of other processes of this type, intervention in the Mouraria sought to “open” the neighborhood to the city and create conditions to attract private investment, new habitants and, above all, visitors and tourists. The creation of a new positive urban image of the neighborhood became central to the success of the project and, in this sense, the music has played a key role. This article discusses how the different actors involved in this process resort to musical connections present and past of the neighborhood to transform the sound of public space urban both at the level of the representation of his own materiality.(Complete article in spanish language).

Resumen
This paper studies la tambora –traditional folkloric music of the Colombian Caribbean Coast– as a communication vehicle of cultural contents such as ideas, beliefs, values and meanings. It explains how this music transits from its original social context towards a staging context in annual festivals, which reinforces the symbolic character of the artistic practices of their actors. Additionally, it describes the way in which dance, singing and music, as vehicles for cultural communication, produce particular senses of life for the inhabitants of the region through a kind of storytelling, through the invention of traditions, through the song to nature and through the representation of the region’s precarious social reality. It presents an analysis of the artistic practices interpreted from some contemporary sociological perspectives.(Complete article in spanish language).

Resumen
Most theories of design agree that we can speak of design when there is a material result, an object that is designed. Therefore, Sound could not be considered as design since it is not subjected to manipulations like a thing. This paper proposes a revision of these notions from a point of view that understands sound as a material that is not considered as a thing, and by these means responding to all characteristics proposed by main theories.Materiality in sound begins with music through timbre explorations, and from that point we arrive to XX Century several propositions that are extended to the sound design field, in particular, the in the audiovisual domain.(Complete article in spanish language).

Resumen
This publication is the product of an effort to articulate, in a common space, research results and theoretical approaches on the problem of sound and auditory in the studies of communication that usually live in relatively separate spaces. It is not a matter of claiming a theoretically and methodologically eclectic point of view, but, on the contrary, contributing to the construction of a field which we consider to be centrally common.(Complete article in spanish language).

Resumen
This article presents the doctoral research on some semiotic transduction experiments of contemporary notions of physics -especially those from the holonomic theory, chaos theory and fractal geometry, such as atemporality, acausality, unpredictability, multidimensionality and others- into performance art processes involving music, dance, theater, video, etc. based on the use, in varying degrees, of new digital interactive technologies. The main outcome is the qualitative confirmation that an emphasis on firstnesses and secondnesses of intersemiotic translations in such experiments reinforced affective aspects in their perception, in the opinion of the participants: artists and audience.(Complete article in portuguese language).

Resumen
This article seeks to investigate the strategies to build a collective affective memory and the brand (re) construction of a FM musical radio-station. The case study is conducted about the relaunch of Rádio Cidade, after eight years out of the dial in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Launched in 1977, Rádio Cidade was a pioneer in building a young and irreverent language then being identified, in its first decades of existence, as a radio-station that configured the hit radio segment in the Brazilian market of radio broadcasting. Emitting exclusively over the internet since 2006, Rádio Cidade returned to the air on hertzian-waves in 2014, trying to reinvent itself as radio rock, in a complex enunciative approach.(Complete article in portuguese language).

Resumen
From digitalization and Internet emergency, the music industry goes through a transformation process from a broadcasting model to networking. In the last years, streaming services show a sustained growth as a way of access and music reproduction instead of physical format and digital downloading practices. Spotify stands out among applications based on free options with advertising or on paid subscriptions, which offer music for every moment, everywhere.Ubiquity and mobility are advertised as novel effects of technological change. However, the current state of recorded music requires to be inquired in its historical trajectory as a specific articulation of technical devices, discourses and social practices. Among functional music and genres previously established by discographic industry, the classification of a multiple offer proposes a way of listening as accompaniment to social activity.(Complete article in spanish language).
