Resumen
En 1613, con gran visión de la realidad de su tiempo, y también del porvenir, el inca Garcilaso de la Vega (1959, p. 87) afirmó: «todo el Perú es largo y angosto como un cuerpo humano». La sensibilidad geográfica del cronista mestizo no estaba errada. Más allá del centralismo capitalino, el territorio virreinal se percibía como un organismo con miembros, órganos, arterias y articulaciones, y estas eran, sin lugar a duda, las regiones. Se trataba de espacios diversos y variados, cuyas poblaciones interactuaban espontáneamente, a través de circuitos económicos y culturales, y se complementaban para darle vida al reino. Tal fenómeno, que implica la heterogeneidad, se hace visible aún en la etapa republicana, y se puede definir, como «espacios geográficos-mentales variables», organizados sobre vínculos humanos que entretejen todas las características de las sociedades allí asentadas (Aldana Rivera y Pereyra Chávez, 2022, pp. 49-50).

Resumen
Rapaz, a community in the upper Checras (province of Oyón), has a temple in the hills that organizes Andean practice and ritual. It uses Quechua I from the Yaru variety, with current endangered language status. This ethnography focuses on songs that sacralize agriculture and another ritual dialogue dedicated to the promotion of cattle. Next, it considers the relevance of phenomenological methodology for developing an anthropology of religion that is not (overly) reductionist.

Resumen
Albert A. Giesecke (USA, 1883-Peru, 1968) arrived in Peru in 1909 as a member of the team in charge of educational reform during the first government of Augusto B. Leguía. After working in various educational institutions, he was appointed rector of the University of Cuzco (1910-1923) and later elected mayor of the city (1920-1923). Based on the analysis of the representation of American subjects in the film Secret of the Incas (1954), this essay seeks to characterize the Gieseckian style of cultural policies. In the first part, his arrival in Perú is contextualized in order to understand the complex political situation that the young American encountered. In the second part, the analysis of the film shows different ways of being an American in Cuzco, challenging the stereotype of the “gold-digger gringo” and offering a profile of an American capable of passionately defending and promoting the culture of his adopted homeland.

Resumen
El propósito que persigue la elaboración de una antología, estriba en el hecho de convocar voces así como estilos y tendencias de autores que pertenecen a una determinada época. A través del tiempo las antologías han estado medidas y resguardadas, además por un discurso hegemónico, a ratos establecidos también por una voz que las convoca, incluso, determinadas por esquemas que en ocasiones no dice su naturaleza. Es por ello que se hace necesaria la incursión de una antología donde no solo prime la convocatoria, sino otros aspectos, además de ofrecernos, a los lectores, lo que llamó Szpilbarg (2022) el capital simbólico. No obstante, es importante tener en cuenta que las antologías pueden también ofrecer una visión general de los escritores que se convocan, aparte de revisar su costado histórico que servirá de puente para las investigaciones futuras en el campo literario.

Resumen
La música en Huélamo (Cuenca) (1964-2023): propuestas, actividades y protagonistas is the title of the new book written by Marco Antonio de la Ossa Martínez, Doctor of Fine Arts, cultural manager and teacher at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). The work vindicates musical studies of Microhistory through a case centered on the aforementioned village in the province of Cuenca, Spain, between the last third of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. In a rigorous and entertaining way, the social place of music in the aforementioned village is analyzed and support is given to stories, protagonists and music that previously did not have a material support.

Resumen
This paper studies the syntactic explicitation of adversative logical relations in literary translation from Chinese to Spanish. Taking four modern Chinese literary works and their respective Spanish translated texts for example, we use a corpus-based quantitative method to describe the translation of adversative sentences and the use of Spanish adversative conjunctions. The results support the hypothesis of the explicitation of the adversative relations. The qualitative approach is further applied to explain the motivations of the explicitation. This study shows that the main factors that affect the degree of explicitness in the target text include: (1) the inherent characteristics of the translation, (2) the differences between Chinese and Spanish in the expression of logical relationships, (3) the use of adversative conjunctions in the source text, (4) the subjectivity of translator, such as attention given to target readers, the adopted translation strategy and methods.

Resumen
A partir del análisis de un conjunto de películas caseras de familias alemanas inmigrantes que fueron donadas a la Cineteca Nacional de Chile, este artículo sostiene que el predominio de la infancia como perspectiva y contenido privilegiado de las imágenes, se entiende desde la idea de la infancia como el mejor marco temporal para configurar una narrativa migratoria y de memoria. De esta forma, se busca –con el respaldo de fotogramas– dar cuenta de cómo las películas familiares construyen un proyecto migratorio exitoso y con futuro, dejando de lado u obviando los conflictos inherentes a todo proceso migratorio.

Resumen
This article explores the way in which José Ortega y Gasset’s La deshumanización del arte (1925) was read and discussed in Latin America by Enrique Molina from a humanist perspective. The study is mainly concerned with the meaning that Ortega’s essay gives to the autonomous condition of modern art and the reasons why his ideas stand in an ethical opposition to humanism’s position regarding the nature of human being, culture, and the life of the spirit. In the end, what seems to be at stake in this quarrel is a philosophical and cultural debate on Latin America’s process of modernization and the meaning of the concept of “progress” as an ideal.

En Trinares, Felipe Munita hace vibrar la lengua con sonoro esplendor. Es la sensación que queda después de una disfrutada lectura. Pero ya volveré sobre eso. Lo primero que hago al tomar algunas notas sobre la lectura es consultar el Diccionario de la Real Academia Española de la Lengua. El tomo cinco del Diccionario Enciclopédico Ilustrado Sopena me da las primeras claves. Trinar: 1. Hacer trinos. 2 figurado y familiar: rabiar, impacientarse. Vamos entonces por la palabra “trino”. Me quedo con la tercera acepción: Sucesión rápida y alternada de dos notas de igual duración, entre las cuales media un tono o un semitono. Vaya, vaya. Esto tiene que ver con la música, definitivamente.

Resumen
The objective of this research is to demonstrate that the Aristotelian theory of the soul is compatible with a functionalist conception of the mental. For this purpose, the concept of nature will be analyzed –particularly of organic nature– in the philosophy of Aristotle. From this, the theory of the Aristotelian soul is shown to be compatible with functionalist principles, which also applies to the specific case of how the sensory-perceptive system operates for the Stagirite.
