Resumen
South Korea transformed itself from an agrarian nation in the 1960s, to a highly industrialized country thanks to the governmental stimulus to technology exports. Industrial policies initiated in the 1980s paved the way to a knowledge-based economy, with information and communication technologies (ICT) becoming the main driver of innovative activity. This paper examines the construction of technological capabilities in this Asian nation by analyzing the patents filed through the Patent Cooperation Treaty in the field of electronics and telecommunications. Empirical evidence suggests that the design of policies to promote innovation was particularly successful in the areas of semiconductors, communication networks, TV and mobile telephony.

Resumen
The objective of the work is to analyze the way in which COVID-19 is forcing China to redefine its transpacific relations, particularly with the US, Latin America, Mexico, East Asia and Oceania. This is how the work contributes to the understanding, analysis and distinction of the main impacts that COVID-19 has had and has on China's relations with these economies and regions of the world.

Resumen
A veinte años de la celebración de las reuniones del Foro de Cooperación Económica de Asia Pacífico (APEC, por sus siglas en inglés) en México en el año 2002, en este documento se hace un breve recuento de los orígenes, la evolución y el futuro de APEC, así como de la organización de las reuniones de APEC en México en el año 2002. Se explica la motivación de México para ser sede del Foro, se señalan las prioridades que tuvo México como organizador, así como algunos de los resultados obtenidos. A manera de conclusión se hacen también algunas breves reflexiones y sugerencias, esperando que México pronto vuelva a ser sede del Foro ya que está en falta con los demás miembros.

Resumen
In mid-2020, South Korea launched the New Deal policy, which seeks to position the country as a leader in matters of green growth and digitization of the economy along with facing the negative social consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. This public policy projected in five years resembles the five-year plans, where the State defined the course that the conglomerates of South Korean companies (chaebol) should take in the economy. This research is of a documentary type and reviews various bibliographic sources, including media analysis. Through a mixed approach of descriptive scope and case study method, we focus on the phenomenon of sustainable development in South Korea applied to CJ chaebol. The aim is to analyze the implications of the K-New Deal in green growth and digitization of the economy. We conclude that the K-New Deal can be a role model in the context of the digital economy in the post-Covid-19 era.

Resumen
The global economy has witnessed the consolidation of China in the world market. Ranked as Mexico’s second trading partner, China has faced a trade war with the United States, amid a clear strategy to reaffirm its regional leadership and consolidate its presence in a world economy affected by Covid-19. Taking into consideration the approach of international economic relations and emphasis on politics and trade, this article analyzes the recent relations between Mexico, China and the United States, with the aim of establishing a perspective of the trilateral relationship towards the new normality. Through an analysis based on exploratory and descriptive methodology, with the support of quantitative data from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum and the Ministry of Economy, it can be highlighted that: in the post-Covid-19 stage, a commercial war with severe regional impacts due to the configuration of alliances, blocs and postures with which each economy will assume its position and assert its competitiveness.

Resumen
A language is a means by which any society sees and describes the world and life. Translating humour is not an easy task, especially if the aim is to translate a seven-hundred-year-old text from such diverse culture as the Chinese one. Wordplays are a source to propagate irony, double meaning and humour. However, in the Chinese culture there exist some resources that are extremely difficult to be translated into Spanish, such as characters with a different meaning, but with similar pronunciation. The meaning of these topics is unknown to Spanish speakers. We aimed to study the methods used to translate the wordplays of the Chinese book Journey to the West into Spanish and to analyze how translators have negotiated linguistic barriers to translate all the meaning they possess into Spanish.
