The objective of this work is to propose a procedure to contribute to a favorable working environment in project-oriented organizations. To meet this objective, the historical-logical and analytical-synthetic methods were used to study the national and international precedents in the field of work environment, as well as the main research by academics and scientists on the subject. The main results are related to the contribution to a favorable work environment in project-oriented organizations, as well as the identification of 10 variables that were proposed to the experts, of which seven were identified as relevant for the analysis of the work environment in the project-oriented organization under study. In the application of the procedure, an action program was obtained that allowed treating the causes that can cause negative manifestations of the identified variables, which allowed precise decision-making in the actions.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has begun to have a significant impact on higher education in recent years. It has been used in a variety of ways to enhance the educational experience, teaching, and learning. AI can analyze data about students, such as their study patterns, learning preferences, and proficiency levels, for educational content in a personalized way. This allows students to progress at their own pace and receive targeted support where they need it. Indeed, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the higher education curriculum presents both significant challenges and opportunities. The results of this article, based on the perspective of a group of 20 higher education curriculum presents both significant challenges and opportunities. The results of this article, based on the perspective of a group of 20 higher education teachers interviewed, seem to support their integration into higher education, Teachers have noticed that AI improves the interaction between students and content, offering quick and personalized responses, which can increase student participation and engagement.

This research optimized the manufacturing process in a company located in La Laguna, dedicated to products and projects involving natural stone. A custom clamping accessory was designed and manufactured to integrate seamlessly with the assembly tooling, coupled with a process redesign. The analysis of the process for its redesign and employee training were pivotal in enhancing quality. The creation of the accessory, along with clear usage instructions, effectively reduced defects, contributing significantly to product quality improvement. The specific contribution lies in the successful implementation of a comprehensive approach that links tool design with staff training, underscoring the importance of synergy between these elements. Consequently, the results underscore the relevance of integrated strategies to elevate standards in marble production, emphasizing their positive impact on process efficiency and quality.

Route optimization and traceability are fundamental for efficiency in logistics distribution. This article presents an analysis of the implementation of the custom "GeoRutasPostal" system by the Cuban Postal Service, which includes route optimization and traceability modules. The employed methodology integrates advanced algorithms and mobile devices with GPS for real-time monitoring of the vehicle fleet. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in operational efficiency and control of distribution routes.

The urban areas with the highest urban and population growth, such as the city of Guayaquil, are the main consumers of energy and therefore require greater consumption of fossil fuels for electricity generation. In some countries, large-scale progress is being made in the energy transition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy sources; however, the construction of new infrastructure is necessary. Given this scenario, electricity generation through renewable energy sources is the most viable option for the energy sustainability of cities, even being the best alternative until local governments invest in the construction of the necessary infrastructure. By means of the bibliometric analysis of journals with greater influence in the SCImago indicator, a business model for the development of sustainable urban energies in the city of Guayaquil is proposed; reaching the conclusion that the proposed business model is oriented to a premium service with aggregates in the final product.

The fourth Industrial Revolution refers to a new paradigm based on technology, where information andcommunication systems are largely used to improve productivity in an intelligent way. The objective ofthis article was to analyze the teaching competencies necessary for the effective integration of the Internetof Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the context of Industry 4.0 in the Faculty of ComputerScience of the Technical University of Manabí. This research presents a quantitative approach, because thesurvey technique was used through the application of an online questionnaire directed to a total populationof 63 teachers currently working in the Faculty of Computer Science. In addition, the bibliographic methodwas integrated with a non-experimental design. The results showed that 45% of teachers do not have a verybroad knowledge of IoT and AI. Based on these results, a pedagogical proposal is presented for the trainingof teachers with a view to improving their skills in areas such as IoT and AI.

The essential oil of Eucalyptus globulus, recognized for its antioxidant properties, was extracted through steam distillation from fresh and dry leaves collected in Crucita, Portoviejo, Ecuador. The samples were processed at temperatures of 40 °C, 50 °C, and 60 °C to evaluate their yield and antioxidant capacity. The essential oil yield ranged from 0.47% to 1.16%, being higher in fresh leaves. Antioxidant capacity was determined using two methods based on free radical scavenging, obtaining values between 92.8 and 112 micrograms per milliliter in the first method, and between 75.1 and 408 micrograms per milliliter in the second, expressed as trolox equivalents. The results showed significant antioxidant activity, although lower than that reported in previous studies. It is concluded that fresh leaves produce higher yields, and optimizing the extraction conditions is recommended to enhance their antioxidant potential.

Like many other developing countries, Cuba also faces the unavoidable and peremptory need to transform the traditional concept of operation of its ports that implies significant changes in the already traditional model for its management. The lack of methodological support to carry out this strategic transformation in the main Cuban territorial ports, led to the design of an alternative and complementary, as well as pertinent, flexible and robust methodological instrument that can guide the complex process of transforming them into integrated customer-oriented logistics platforms in Cuban conditions. Based on a situational diagnosis of context, the phases and stages of strategic planning were adapted to this singular process, taking the port of Cienfuegos as referent. The exposed result focuses on the foundation of the designed methodological instrument for its application in Cuban territorial ports that allow its management as a critical node of dynamic integration of the port logistics chains, associated with a 3rd generation port.

Every day, process management becomes more relevant in organizations due to the benefits it provides for the planning, control and improvement of their mission. This research was developed at the UEB Production of the Center's Petroleum Drilling and Extraction Company. The proposed study objective is: to analyze production planning in the UEB. The production system was characterized and classified, the behavior of demand was forecast and techniques and tools were used, such as the proportional method, used to calculate production capacity and the tabular method, used to prepare the master production plan. It was demonstrated that the UEB has sufficient capacity to meet the production plan. Likewise, it was proven that the institution has good performance dynamics, good reliability and satisfactory stability, but; continuity, proportionality and rhythmicity can be improved.
