An understanding of the lignocellulosic biomass processes is essential when selecting the fractionation routes and the possibilities of obtaining new products, by-products, and bioenergy derived from the selected biomass. The objective of the article is: to identify the opportunities for obtaining lignocellulosic biomass from coffee in the province of Chimborazo within the framework of the Circular Economy. The varieties and quantities of cultivated coffee were determined, and the sites and characteristics of the places where coffee is grown in Ecuador and in the province of Chimborazo were identified. The types, amounts of waste, and by-products from the industrialization of coffee were determined. It was found that as a result of the industrialization of coffee, large amounts of waste are generated in the form of parchment, pulp, and grounds.

Resumen
The objective is to measure work and organizational commitment, through strategic and systemic interpretation, which articulates the subjective dimension (shared perception) and objective (index calculated from multilevel descriptors), for the contribution to the strategic management of this business intangible. Participant observation, analysis of official documents, free word association and the questionnaire are used in a single case study with a probabilistic sample by strata of 41 workers. The statistical analysis uses Microsoft Excel functions, SPSS v.25 and the free software Ucinet 6.0. The results include: 1) the update of the Cuban commitment model; 2) the diagnosis of shared perception; 3) the identification of twenty-seven (27) multilevel descriptors; 4) the determination of the sub-index of attitudinal and instrumental commitment, as well as the global index and priority index by descriptors, to guide management in the state enterprise investigated.

Resumen
Infrastructure is the basic layer in Enterprise Architecture (EA) methodologies. The network components, their configuration and security are elements that require special attention from enterprise architects. According to actual conditions, most of networks can be identified as small or home/office networks. The increase in wireless devices has brought an increase in the amount of SOHO networks as well. The providers of infrastructure for this type of network don’t pay attention to making their components safer while users face problems making their networks more secure. SOHO network security is a major concern to consider. This study applied a systematic mapping of the literature resulting in the discovery of a decrease in the publication productivity in this research field despite the high productivity of researchers in China, India and South Korea.

Resumen
The objective of this article was to identify and propose efficient management indicators for higher education, adapted to the Ecuadorian context, based on a systematic review of the scientific literature. A qualitative, documentary and descriptive methodology was used, applying the PRISMA method to collect articles from the academic databases Scopus and Scielo. After applying clear inclusion and exclusion criteria, the most relevant studies were selected. The results revealed several key indicators used in higher education, both nationally and internationally, which were analyzed in terms of their effectiveness in assessing institutional performance and fostering continuous improvement. It was concluded that the implementation of a system of management indicators in Ecuadorian universities is essential to ensure the continuous improvement of educational processes, adapting to global challenges and strengthening management in higher education.

Resumen
City branding is a comprehensive strategy for the competitive positioning of urban tourism destinations. The city of Matanzas, renowned for its cultural and natural heritage, faces challenges in articulating its identity as a sustainable urban destination. The overall objective of this research is to design a city brand proposal for Matanzas as an urban tourism destination, including indicators of territorial competitiveness. Using theoretical (inductive-deductive, analysis-synthesis) and empirical (documentary analysis, direct observation, interviews) methods, key identity attributes (historic bridges, riverscapes, danzón, and rumba) and positioning gaps were identified, generating a scalable model for heritage cities with limited resources.

Resumen
Knowledge management has been recognized as a crucial element for proper supply chain management. This research was conducted in a construction supply chain. The objective is to design a general maturity index that allows for the measurement of knowledge management in a construction supply chain. The proposed procedure consists of four (4) phases. The main results obtained are a maturity level using a checklist, which is at an initial stage; an overall knowledge performance, which obtained a value of 0.473, placing it at a defined level; and the overall maturity index, which obtained a value of 0.364, placing it at a conscious level. Keywords: knowledge management, overall maturity index, construction supply chain.

Resumen
To comprehend the synergistic catalytic effect on the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) when two ferrocene (Fc) fragments are in the same molecule linked by the ligand 4,4'-(1,4-phenylenebis(1H-1,2,3)-triazol-4,1-diyl))diphenol (1) was synthesized a bimetallic ferrocene compound (2), and compared with other homo- and monobimetallic ferrocene compounds already reported, as a potential burning rate catalyst. We conducted a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis of compound (2), which showed a decrease the high-temperature decomposition (HTD) of Ammonium Perchlorate (AP) to 379 ºC. Our results suggest that the ferrocene is a suitable and competitive alternative to be used as an enhancer of solid composite propellants.

Resumen
In this work, avocado peel was chosen as a low-value waste that could be used as a carbon source to synthesize carbon dots (APCQDs). To obtain it, the hydrothermal method was used in the absence of co-doping agents. The synthesis was carried out for 6 hours at 250 ºC. After purification by dialysis and lyophilization, CQDs that exhibited intense blue fluorescence (emission at 378 nm) were obtained. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), evidence the spherical morphology of carbon dots within nanometer range. HPLC analysis and separation showed excellent separation even in columns with low porosity, indicating a separation mechanism where polarity predominates as the property that governs the separation. It is highlighted that avocado peel CQDs have potent antimicrobial activity against the pathogens Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 7644, Escherichia coli ATCC 11775, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 9144, and Salmonella enterica ATCC 13076. The antioxidant effect was also evidenced in the DPPH and ORAC-FL. The synthesis method for APCQDs could be easily scaled up for gram scale synthesis of carbon quantum dots.
