Resumen
The diversity of text types and the difficulties faced by translators have meant that these studies are in a constant state of flux. With regard to the translation of children’s and young people’s literature (CYPL), an additional factor is the complex framework of this literary system, which has given rise to the many different lines of research that currently abound in the field of CYPL translation. Let us not forget that children’s literature has become an inexhaustible source of creativity, formats and genres, and this inventiveness has proven a real challenge for translators charged with the task of making these works available for other languages and cultures. For these reasons, in this article we propose a chronological and thematic bibliographical overview of this field of research, which is peripheral, but at the same time complex and highly topical, the translation of children’s and young people’s literature

The diversity of text types and the difficulties faced by translators have meant that these studies are in a constant state of flux. With regard to the translation of children’s and young adults’ literature (CYAL), an additional factor is the complex framework of this literary system, which has given rise to the many different lines of research that currently abound in the field of CYAL translation. Let us not forget that children’s literature has become an inexhaustible source of creativity, formats and genres, and this inventiveness has proven a real challenge for translators charged with the task of making these works available for other languages and cultures. Resumen
Translation studies of literature for children and young adults have undergone a clear evolution from their beginnings. Different studies have been presented, particularly regarding the target reader of the translation, its affiliation to rigid literary systems, the cultural differences between original and target systems, as well as on specific problems of translation. These, together with the rapid evolution and diversification of the literary system for children and young adults in many countries, offer new fields of investigation. This paper offers a general overview of the most relevant approaches that have contributed to the development of these studies

Resumen
This study investigates how Chinese nursery rhymes are visualized in contemporary picturebooks from a multimodal perspective. The data for case analysis are selected from three Chinese rhyming picturebooks. Based on Jakobson’s (1959) typology of translation, this study regards picturebooks as multimodal texts and examines the adaptation of Chinese nursery rhymes into contemporary picturebooks as a process of intralingual and intersemiotic translations. It first analyzes the modern adaptations of traditional Chinese nursery rhymes in the verbal texts and then discusses the text-image interactions in picturebooks to explore the intersemiotic translation from the verbal to the visual. The research results indicate that the didactical function or political implication of traditional Chinese nursery rhymes is usually weakened or omitted in the intralingual translation, while more creative and amusing narrative rhymes are adapted to tailor for contemporary children’s hobbies and lifestyle. Besides, in the intersemiotic translation between texts and images in picturebooks, flexible and varied methods are employed according to different text-image interplays.

Resumen
Drawing on the translations of sexuality in five Turkish translations of children’s literature, this paper starts with introducing the origins, developments, and trends of gender as well as the dilemma between gender pedagogy and taboo issues closely related to the sexuality and body politics in children’s literature and its translation in different contexts. Particularly focusing on the context of Turkey where sexuality and body politics have always been controversial issues, the paper intends to shed some light on the matter. Thus, the examination of Turkish translations of children’s literature can yield eye-opening outcomes in terms of the understanding of sexuality and the travel of sexual and body-political content from one context to another.

Resumen
Literature and science popularization share the possibility of adapting their texts according to their intended recipient. If we think of children as the target audience, these texts must meet a series of characteristics, which are related to their recipients. In this context, translation becomes a functional tool to bring science closer to children through literature, an excellent instrument for its popularization and education. In the present work, based on the methodology presented in the OncoTRAD project, we intend to translate and adapt a scientific text in a multimodal format, in this case, a comic, aimed at a child audience, thus fulfilling the purpose of bringing science closer to children and to educate and inform the child and youth population.

Resumen
The giant congenital melanocytic nevus is a large pigmented lesion present at birth. Its incidence is 1 / 1,000-500,000 newborns. The most frequent location is the posterior trunk, the face, the scalp and the extremities. We decided with the presentation of this clinical case to offer an updated review on the evaluation at birth, behavior and treatment to be followed by neonatologists, primary care pediatrician before the unexpected presence of dermatopathies not as frequent as the one we are dealing with today, the "nevus" giant congenital melanocytic ". The importance of this pathology lies in the impactful problems from the aesthetic, surgical and emotional point of view that can originate in the patient and their relatives, in addition to the possible association with other malformations of the central nervous system and in some of them, the risk of being the origin of a melanoma.
