Introduction: the pharynx is the most common site of lodging of foreign bodies within the otorhinolaryngological area. Diagnosis and removal are usually easy. Fortunately, however, a few become deeply ingrown and cause neck infections, or more rarely, manage to migrate and lie just under the skin. Case presentation: we present the case of a 27-year-old male patient who was treated during our mission in Namibia in 2018, who swallowed a fish bone, which initially lodged in the retropharyngeal space and then migrated to the cellular tissue. subcutaneous neck. Discussion: the mechanism by which a foreign body migrates may be due to the combination of peristalsis of the esophagus and movements of the neck or other factors such as the linear and sharp configuration of the foreign body, the forced swallowing of food with a hard consistency immediately after impaction of the foreign body and late attendance of the patient to health services. Conclusions: the migration of an ingested foreign body is a rare form of evolution. Its treatment fundamentally depends on potential complications that could put the patient's life at risk.

Breast cancer is a health problem, occupying the second cause of cancer death in women. An epidemiological, descriptive, retrospective study of women diagnosed with breast cancer was carried out, from the Jesús Menéndez urban popular council, belonging to the "Jimmy Hirzel" Polyclinic, Bayamo municipality, during 2018-2020, with the objective of determining the characteristics epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic in diagnosed patients. The universe was made up of 147 patients who attended the polyclinic's breast clinic in the indicated period, and the sample, the 80 patients diagnosed with the disease. The variables were studied: age, predisposing factors, histological type and treatment used. The incidence rate was calculated. Statistical records of the polyclinic breast consultation, pathological anatomy, individual clinical records, as well as the national cancer registry were reviewed, a database was established where all the information collected was recorded. Theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were used. As a result, the most frequent age of diagnosis of breast cancer in the women studied was 40-49 years (43.7%); the predisposing factor most found was the presence of family and personal history (20%); Infiltrating ductal carcinoma was the most diagnosed (50%) and the most used treatment was chemotherapy in 34 patients, which represented 42%. The incidence rate was 74.93. The characterization of the patients with breast cancer studied provided data that can be used as bibliographic sources for future research.

In the cusp of the regime by the Mexican dictator Porfirio Díaz, positivism was incorporated and adapted by the elite and power groups of the country in order to promote several social and discursive practices. This included as the main ingredient, the medical narrative of the times.  The  word "Medicine"  was then a significantly powerful term in those days, and it  did not refer only to the sciences and techniques  for the treatment of diseases, but moreover, it encompassed different connotations, which, according to the formulation by Foucault in "The birth of the clinic",  gave rise to the notion and definition of  -The  healthy individual- that is, a category which would come not only  to include the experience of not being sick, but also,  the definition of a model-man, and would even go into the discursive constructions of other fields, including the legal one. In the present contribution, I will be analyzing the short story "The Case of Pedro" by the author Ciro B. Ceballos. Through this analysis I am interested in exploring the diverse counter-appropriations and redefinitions of the clinical and criminal terms and archives which where attempted by several writers of the decadent movement in México. Specifically, these counteractions by the decadents struggled to alter and redefine the main ideas by Cesare Lombroso and Bénédict Augustin Morel, with the aim of questioning the core of the dominant ideas of the end of the 19th century in Mexico, which relied heavily in scientism type arguments. The rebellious appropriation of diverse terms and documents by the decandentists came to be a mechanism which attempted to subvert the trends put forward by the groups in power towards a standardization of the writing profession, and instead, to propose lines of action for a much more exploratory and independent literature for the Mexican authors of the end of the century

This article develops an analysis of the play Los Millonarios 2015 by Chilean company La María. Written by Alexis Moreno and premiered in 2015 in Santiago, the play tells the story of a group of lawyers, wealthy, racists and partners of a very important and powerful law firm, who decided to defend a Mapuche citizen accused of killing a couple of agricultural entrepreneurs in the Wallmapu zone. The analysis focuses mainly on the dramatic material, with particular interest in exploring the dramaturgical operations used by Alexis Moreno to endow the oligarch characters of an abject nature and the use of archive material as a mechanism to historicize the fiction. Throughout the citizenry's demands for deep reforms to the neoliberal model and the current constituent process derived from them, Chilean elite (understood as a minority group with a high economic, political and cultural capital) has been targeted and questioned regarding its role as author and gatekeeper of this model. Within this context, this article places Los millonarios as a case study of the last decade's theatre repertoire which, aligned with the social mobilization processes, aims to shed a light and disarticulate the different dimensions in which these elites operate, with the ultimate goal of provoking in the audience a discussion about the elitist nature of the foundations on which national identity is built on.

This article studies to what extent the interaction between activists and historical monuments during the 2019 Chilean protests created a shift in the interpretation of the country's past, thus facilitating the emergence of alternative and more inclusive narratives able to challenge hegemonic power structures. The article embarks on this endeavour through an analysis of three cases of demonumentalisation that occurred in the Chilean city of Temuco on the 29th of October 2019. Methodologically, the article engages with a combination of theories regarding the coloniality of power, the politics of aesthetics, and cultural memory. Finally, the paper concludes by arguing that Chilean activists' engagement in the practice of demonumentalisation exposed alternative narratives concerning the historical conflict between the Chilean state and the Mapuche community. Making visible the perpetuation of unjust social structures in Chilean society and creating bonds of solidarity between the Chilean mass movement and the Mapuche movement.

The main objective of this article is to reflect on the performative practices of communities of dancers and musicians calling themselves Andean in the context of social demonstrations in Santiago de Chile after the period of social revolt started on October 18, 2019. Based on photographs, audiovisual records and interviews, this paper presents an analysis of the modes of participation of these groups in two spaces of political and festive enunciation that converge in the city: protests and popular carnivals. The hypothesis is that these groups, through their performances, have installed in both spaces the importance of enjoyment and celebration from a critical political dimension, employing for this purpose sound aesthetics, visual and choreographic of the Bolivian folklore"”mostly"”and forming, over the years, an Andean circuit in the city. This circuit stresses the cultural conformations of the "properly Chilean" to produce dynamic festive spaces that have called to decolonize the city.

This research paper describes the variety of the evaluation process in three language centers of public universities in Ecuador. The main objective is to explore the evaluation practices that are used, their effectiveness in the teaching-learning process and the results obtained in English language learning. Researchers conduct interviews with teachers, principals, and students. In addition, evaluation instruments such as tests and other evaluation materials were analyzed. The study reveals that the students who achieved the highest scores are those who study in a language center which uses a more structured evaluation system. Therefore, the data analysis shows that there is a close relationship between student performance and the evaluation systems applied in the different language centers.
