Resumen
This research analyzes the relationship between news topics, news values and sensationalism in Facebook and user's engagement with. Content analysis is carried on a sample (n= 2,821) of Facebook posts published by six Spanish news media (El País, El Mundo, La Vanguardia, El Confidencial, El Diario and El Español). Our analysis found different tendencies for different engagement attitudes (sharing, liking, commenting and emotional reactions). User comments are mainly driven by news about government and politics and by those stories focused on news values such as proximity, timeliness, social significance, usefulness and elite people. Facebook “Likes” were more frequent on sports articles and the most shared stories were charactersed by a sensationalist framing. As a prospective research line, we propose further studies to consider different topical categories to provide a wider and fuller picture of the news users engagement phenomenon in the social media environment.

The proliferation of thematic messages in the digital ecosystem and the multiplication of new health communication media are clear examples of the emergence of an expanding health journalism. This paper aims to explain the necessary incorporation of mechanisms to fight disinformation based on the case study of #SaludSinBulos. As a matter of fact one of the most significant initiatives launched by multidisciplinary teams made up of health and communication professionals, to combat health hoaxes among others. Moreover, it examines the most recent public awareness campaigns spearheaded by #SaludSinBulos such as the monologue contest #VacunasSinBulos on the TikTok application or #SaludInfantilsinBulos for millennial parents.

Resumen
In Instagram, candidates have the opportunity to manage the elements of the setting in which they are represented to show a studied image of themselves to potential voters. This research analyzes the elements with which the five main candidates for the presidency of the Spanish government are shown on Instagram. The main objective is to determine if there has been a significant change in strategy during the electoral period of April 28, 2019. For this, based on the operationalization of the concept of setting by Goffman (1956) pertaining to this theory on the presentation of the self, a quantitative methodology is used on a sample total of 473 posts. The results show a change in strategy in the way that candidates build the scenario of their Instagram posts as the general elections approach: the candidates show a more professional and less humanized profile

Resumen
This work analyzes the relationships between television fiction and the pandemic in Spain, through the study of a case: Diarios de la cuarentena (Diaries of Quarantine, TVE, 2020). Created, produced and consumed on the scene of the Covid-19 crisis, this situation comedy is an absolutely conjunctural product in which both visuality and the hegemonic television themes of the crisis converge. The work focuses on the content, analyzing it, to delve into the narrative and visuality of the story, using close reading technique. But it also includes its reception on Twitter: the comments, the most prominent broadcasters, the users' assessment, or the emotions linked to the tweets will be unraveled to identify the meanings of the TV series for the public. The results affect how the readings of the series have been eminently political, and less humorous than the narrative intended.

Resumen
The terrorist attacks on Las Ramblas in Barcelona and Cambrils in August 2017 attracted a great deal of media attention. The role of the media is fundamental in crisis situations, and public broadcasters are particularly important in serving citizens and guaranteeing their right to information. This study analyses the news coverage of these attacks by three public television channels (TVE, TV3 and Betevé). It describes their involvement, their news strategies and their malpractices and, finally, puts forward a series of proposals for action and improvement aimed at improving the professional and ethical training of journalists who interact with disaster scenarios.

Resumen
This article radiography the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by Spanish and Latin American reference verification platforms (members of #CoronavirusFacts Alliance of IFCN). The methodological approach is based on the exploration and cataloging through multicriteria content analysis of AI initiatives and tools developed; and is complemented with the vision of its professionals and experts in technology and journalistic innovation through online interviews. The results show an uneven and incipient use of AI by the fact-checkers analyzed. The development of proprietary solutions is conditioned by the availability of resources and specialized professional profiles and almost always takes the form of bots for certain functions. All in all, they agree that they sense AI very positively for their work, and co-creation offers opportunities for the development of RDI projects with large technology companies or within the framework of the IFCN network itself.
