Resumen
The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism is a growing trend that profoundly affects the journalistic production and dissemination model. As a consequence, some uses of this technology raise numerous ethical challenges. In this context, transparency is a key principle to move towards a responsible use of AI by the media. This study analyses the corporate websites and editorial blogs, the main spaces of accountability, of nine Spanish media linked to three different professional models: digital media, verification platforms and public broadcasters. The results show that some public media such as RTVE are being pioneers in explaining their relationship with AI. On the other hand, the commitment of verification platforms to the description of their professional methodology favours transparency about their use of data, algorithms and automations.

Resumen
In a context of misinformation, data journalism can restore the profession's ability to mediate in the public sphere. This paper aims to define the necessary professional skills and the training required for future journalists to be able to practice this specialization. We started with previous research on the official academic offer in journalism in Spain, which shows the scarcity of subjects related to this field. A new analysis of the RUCT reveals small advances, especially in postgraduate studies and in terms of visualization. Having obtained this result, we gathered the views of a representative group of professionals through a focus group. These distinguish among the most sought-after skills those related to accessing and downloading data, as well as its presentation, highlighting knowledge of statistics and programming. And they advocate a hybrid profile, combining humanistic knowledge with the handling of technology, in line with the logic of digital production.

Resumen
This research addresses the study of misinformation within the framework of intangible assets in the public sector. Through Eurobarometer data from Spain, this article explores: a) if a factor that measures the citizens' resilience to misinformation can be developed, and if so, if the latter can be conceptualized and operationalized as an intangible resource associated to countries; and b) if there are other intangible assets that help increase resilience. The results provide clues to identify intangible value from people's reactions to misinformation and operationalize the exploration of causal relationships between intangible resources derived from public institutions and resilience to misinformation. Based on the findings, the conclusions focus on the operational implications for government policies to combat misinformation.

Resumen
Press conferences are a public instance where governmental sources discernably contact journalists for them to access public information. In Argentina, since the beginning of the century most of the presidents have restricted press conferences and have arbitrary decided when to offer or not. This circumstance configures a peculiar case to explore the impact of the absence of press conferences on journalistic practices. Comparing the style of journalists’ questions during press conferences of two administrations (years 2007-2019) show more similarities than differences. The analysis shows low levels antagonism and criticism from journalists to both presidents, in a context where expressiveness predominates, as journalists alternately make statements before questions and pose more than one. Preliminary conclusions confirm the value of this approach to study the impact of the restrictions on press conferences on journalistic culture.

Resumen
This paper takes as its object of study the fake news (disinformation) related to migration in Spain spread during the first half of 2022. The main objective is to analyze the presence of the migrant population in the misinformation identified by Maldita Migración, a fact-checking platform. The second objective is to categorize the type of misinformation applied in the analyzed content, quantify it and assess the level of misinformation and falsification. A qualitative content analysis is applied to 50 case studies. Based on the results obtained in the set of case studies analysed, quantitative tools are used in order to identify trends and regular practices. The results highlight the increase in the activity of the platform after the calling for elections in Andalusia. Disinformation contents insist on frequent disinformation arguments and strategies. In addition to spreading through social networks, supposedly informative complicit websites are identified.

Resumen
Right-wing populist digital activists intensively resort to disinformation. In Spain, the historical revisionism, the opposition to democratic memory policies and the alleged defense of the national symbols form an essential part of the agenda of the far-right. The aim of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of disinformation about those topics that has circulated in the country through social media. The research applies a content analysis to 255 denials published by the four Spanish fact-checkers accredited by the International Fact-Checking Network. The results show the preponderance of hoaxes with multimedia resources and textual accompaniment, constructed by falsehoods and anonymous sources, referring to events of the present and not the past, and starring the political class in a negative way. Right-wing protagonists obtain positive evaluations more frequently than left-wing ones.

Resumen
COVID-19 has led to a sharp dramatic in the circulation of fake news, which pose a potential danger to public health. It is relevant to determine which citizens are most vulnerable to this phenomenon and, thus, offer elements to promote public policies and digital literacy campaigns that prevent its harmful consequences. Our goal is to carry out a critical review of previous research that brings together, in a comprehensive way, the currently dispersed knowledge. The sample is made up of 200 articles published between 2020 and 2021 in journals indexed in Web of Science. The results show that young people, women, less educated people, conservatives, religious believers, those suffering from mental health issues, social media news consumers or those who trust journalists to a greater extent are the most vulnerable audiences. Our critical analysis also detects a series of pending challenges for future studies in this field.

Resumen
Affective polarisation and misinformation are key phenomena in the communication strategy of Jair Bolsonaro, current president of Brazil, and Santiago Abascal, leader of VOX in Spain. The aim of this project is to understand the role of emotions in the construction and dissemination of these two issues in the social media discourses of both leaders. To do so, this study is based on an analysis of emotions and misinformation in which a sample of 100 tweets from each politician is compared. The results obtained indicate that, while Abascal's publications stand out for the use of anger or disgust linked to some type of disinformation, Bolsonaro's case reveals a greater concentration of pleasant emotions, in addition to the fact that most of his tweets do not contain any type of misinformation. This research is intended as a theoretical and methodological framework for emotion studies.

Resumen
The global events of the last two years have created an intense reality from an informative, institutional, and political perspectives. The media have enhanced their legitimacy in the face of the infodemia caused by Covid-19 and the Ukrainian War, establishing a specific agenda-setting on the configuration of the European Union. In this context, the research presented aims to analyze the mediatization of discourses on the EU in the Spanish media. Using a qualitative content analysis methodology, a sample of 543 news items published and/or broadcast in six Spanish media (El País, El Confidencial, ABC, El Diario.es, TVE and Antena 3) were analyzed over a period of nine months. The coding and analysis of the sources studied resulted in the detection of the most prominent topics and actors in the media discourse on Europeanisation issue.

Resumen
This article compares the NBC miniseries The Thing About Pam (2022) with the podcast on which it is based in order to decide if fiction can misinform the audience through the characterization of characters that are based on real people. The miniseries is a prime example of a recent trend: the production of fictions that are based on journalistic works and that tell the story about women that have committed a crime. After accomplishing a comparative and interpretative analysis about the series' main character characterization, we conclude that the fiction reinforces the features already set out by the podcast, but somehow justify the behavior of the main character with an explanation that has nothing to do with the podcast’s findings. This justification together with the use of the same narrator in both works may misinform the audience about a real story whose trial has not been held yet.
