Resumen
The masonry structures were conceived from robust elements whose essential function is to support compressive forces. The dimensions of these constructions arose from principles of statics and geometry. Therefore, in this work, a purely geometric and equilibrium approach is proposed to determine the forces that a vault with lunettes must support. In order to avoid the use of sophisticated programs, new equations are developed to calculate the surface that is generated and from it, calculate the respective volume and weight.
The proposed equations are checked for the case of an edge vault and compared with a particular applied mathematics solution. After that, they are used in a reconstruction project in a small temple where materials from the region are used. By equilibrium conditions, the capacity of the material and the structural element as a whole is checked

The main objective of this work is to develop an approach to the Spanish public relations sector through its professionals. We used a qualitative Delphi analysis among experts and a quantitative study through Qualtrics aimed at those professionals. The results determine strengths such as the sector's momentum thanks to diversification, influencer management and the generation of valuable content achieved by digital transformation, while they also show threats generated by that technological disruption where the sector changes at great speed; this can mean a loss of confidence in the content generated in the media by disinformation and fake news. This research’s results will be able to guide business decision-making in communication in matters of people management; they also show the specific training needs of professionals and students. The main conclusion of this point of the study consists in the demand for a balance between soft and hard skills. The first will maintain their importance over time while the latter require professionals to continuously update in technical aspects.

Resumen
The increase in inequality resulting from economic policies adopted to mitigate the 2008 financial crisis has been a frequent issue on the global media's agenda. Thus, when in March 2020 the world was paralyzed by the coronavirus pandemic, many voices spoke out calling for more supportive policies to curb the widening gaps in society. The aim of this study is to explain the salience given by the Spanish media to the relationship established between inequality and the coronavirus within the current hybrid media system, in which topics can be approached from the perspective of new actors, in new media spaces and, therefore, from new logics of journalistic production. To this end, we analyzed the journalistic stories published by six Spanish cybermedia during the first year of the pandemic. It has thus been possible to evaluate the evolution of the issue’s salience in the media agendas, as well as the weight of ideological bias in its journalistic reporting. The results show that, after an initial boom, the subject’s relevance declined over time, although inequality continued to be present in journalistic products. In addition, the media’s ideology has an impact on the issue’s coverage and the use of new opportunities in the digital context.

Resumen
Given the relevance of communication in risk situations to deliver timely information to affected groups, as well as its ability to generate collective meanings, this research aims to analyze the communication deployment of the first stage of the COVID-19 pandemic in Chile from the perspective of risk communication. From a qualitative approach, we conducted a reflective thematic analysis of 88 videos corresponding to the daily coronavirus reports broadcast by Chilean open television, between March 17 and June 12, 2020. Three stages established are: triumphalist, tension, and crisis; in those, we observe a communication focused on promoting the government's management rather than delivering timely information to the population. The use of some discursive resources stands out, such as the metaphor of war or individual responsibility, which generate tension with the need to generate collective meanings to mobilize the population.

Resumen
The article delves into the main transformations that conflict journalism has undergone in the last century and a half and tries to identify the challenges it faces today. To this end, in addition to an extensive bibliographical review of academic works, biographies and books published by journalists, we conducted 24 in-depth interviews with professionals with experience in conflict coverage, the heads of the international sections of several Spanish newspapers, and military personnel with experience in managing public information in operations and in security training for journalists. The conclusions include, on the one hand, the impact that conflict coverage has achieved beyond the media and the role of technology as a transforming element of professional profiles and practice. All of this in a context of increasing danger in the profession and the precariousness of journalism, also in conflict zones, leaving behind the myth of the war correspondent and posing new challenges such as the approach to the issue of security, the inclusion of the gender perspective in this field, or the end of the taboo of post-traumatic stress syndrome.

Resumen
A large number of researches study the relationship between the use of social media platforms and different forms of political participation. However, the evidence regarding the role of social media on the electoral turnout is limited, especially in the Latin America context. This research aims to analyze the relationship between the consumption of political information on Facebook and Twitter, and vote turnout in national elections in Chile. To do so, data from public opinion surveys that measure participation in the 2013 and 2017 elections (n=7,736) are used. The Full Matching (FM) technique is applied to reduce the (self)selection bias present in observational studies and to make valid comparisons. The results are compared before and after the application of FM, finding relevant differences. The results with FM indicate that exposure to political information on social media platformsis not associated with electoral participation in the period studied. This opens a discussion regarding the various types of use of platforms and electoral participation.
