This article is related to the need to know the collections of Brazilian Modern Architecture - in funds and public collections - existing in bodies and institutions in Brazil. The temporal cut considers collections made up of goods relating to the 1945 to 1960 decades and a spatial cut aimed at a systematization of these collections and their distribution in the Brazilian territory. The selection criteria of bodies and institutions were based on their location in states that had greater evidence and prominence in the process of modernization in Brazil in the aforementioned time frame, therefore: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Brasília. The objective is to present a mapping of public bodies and institutions in Brazil and their respective funds and collections in which it is possible to find research material on Brazilian Modern Architecture; a widely studied topic that, however, does not have the collections linked to it yet properly mapped. And through the survey of such collections, visualize the future possibility of deepening and expanding them, building a reference base with other collections related to the theme.

Given the challenge that cities face due to COVID-19 and its variants, it is essential to recognize public space as a recreational environment necessary for people's emotional and physical health. Considering the emotional wear and tear that confinement can cause to prevent contagion, this article presents the results of an investigation aimed at generating a tool for evaluating public space in relation to its qualities to respond to the needs of leisure and recreation in all time, including times of pandemic. In Puerto Rico, there is a lack of public spaces equipped with the necessary facilities to provide the benefits expected from a space for common use and guarantee the prevention and control of the spread of COVID-19. This research analyzes the public spaces of the Santurce district (including the Condado and Miramar sectors) in San Juan, Puerto Rico; in order to recognize their ability to contribute to the physical and emotional health of people and at the same time respond to the challenges posed by pandemics. As a result of this research, a theoretical - methodological instrument is proposed to evaluate the public spaces of Santurce in terms of sustainability and the ability to respond to the challenge posed by the current pandemic.

This article will talk about the contrasts and survivals with the Iberian in the Santiago de Curahuara de Carangas church in Oruro (Bolivia), taking into account that Iberian was our colonization and that, as Marina Waisman says, "... you cannot leave to consider here the particular situation of Spanish culture that for several centuries had managed to bring together in a complex unity the expressive modes of the Arab and Christian worlds” (1993, p. 90). For this, the historical investigation of the temple, the urban analysis, the analysis of the architecture, its references and the interior architectural qualities are carried out to end with the conclusions, where the relationships or survivals and the contrasts are listed.

In order to mitigate the phenomenon of eutrophication in freshwater bodies and give added value to the aquatic species Eichhornia Crassipes (Lechuguines), it was treated to be used in the field of biorefinery, as an alternative to conventional plastics. The objective of this research is to take advantage of the lignocellulosic biomass of lechuguines to obtain bioplastic. The biomass of the research comes from the Poza Honda dam, where the lignocellulosic content was synthesized to obtain the cellulose. The research methodology consists of three processes: extraction of cellulose, starch and obtaining bioplastic, applying alkaline hydrolysis in the extraction of cellulose and sodium hypochlorite as a bleaching agent, the wet method was applied for sedimentation and obtaining starch. In the characterization of the product obtained, the humidity was 19%, the volatile content 7.13%, the water absorption was increasing 31.05%, the degree of biodegradability 66.33%. In conclusion, the biomass of Eichhornia Crassipes is a significant source for the production of bioplastic, the biodegradability of the biofilms obtained is very satisfactory, being within the range of international standards ASTM D-6400

Magollo's stabilization ponds have been on the verge of collapse on several occasions, resulting in inefficient pollutant removal. The present investigation sought to perform a comparative evaluation of water hyacinth (Eichhornia Crassipes) and water lettuce (Pistia Stratiotes) for the treatment of wastewater from the stabilization ponds of Magollo, Tacna - Peru. For this, 6 polypropylene containers were used (3 to position Eichhornia Crassipes and 3, for Pistia stratiotes), depositing 20 liters of residual water collected from the Magollo lagoons in each one (all being fed by oxygenation engines of 2,5 Wts). The analyzes were carried out following the stipulations of the “Standard Methods for the examination of Water and Wastewater” in the facilities of the Analytical Laboratory E.I.R.L at 0, 20, 40 and 60 days of hydraulic retention. It was determined that Eichhornia crassipes is more efficient than Pistia stratiotes in the removal of the parameters: fecal coliforms, total coliforms, electrical conductivity and BOD5, however, the water lettuce was able to stabilize the pH, increase the dissolved oxygen and reduce the COD in a higher proportion than water hyacinth. It was concluded that both species are efficient in removing pollutants from wastewater, being able to adapt perfectly to the weather conditions of the city of Tacna.

Wetlands are important ecosystems found in the high Andean regions. Climate change and anthropic and anthropogenic activities have caused accelerated losses of this ecosystem. Through the opening of infiltration channels, the formation of artificial wetlands or the increase in the area of natural wetlands has been promoted. This research analyzes the percentage of moisture, organic matter and soil porosity of two wetlands, one managed or artificial and other natural. The samples were collected in the acrotelm at different depths. According to the analysis, the natural wetland, Huachipampa, presents a porosity ranging from low to excellent, while the managed wetland, Tambo Real, presented a porosity ranging from very low to excessive. In relation to the analysis of organic matter, the soil of the Huachipampa wetland has a higher content of organic matter than the Tambo Real wetland. The behavior of soil moisture for each wetland was different, so we have that in Huachipampa the highest moisture values were observed in the middle area of the wetland where the Distichia muscoides mattresses dominate. At Tambo Real, humidity was evaluated based on the influence of the infiltration channel, where three zones were defined: the zone near the canal, the middle zone of the wetland and the zone near the river. The data showed that the highest humidity values were located in the area near the river.

During the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, several researchers have studied various mathematical models for predicting infections and deaths, as well as the rate of virus transmission. At present, the virus is still active with some variants and it is very important to know its behavior in order to develop effective actions to control the current and future situation. In the research, we obtained predictions of cumulative Covid-19 infections for 38 days from December 23, 2021, using data recorded in the World Health Organization (WHO) for Peru and training the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model in the software Python 3. The most optimal models obtained with real data test and according to EMPA and R2 are ARIMA(3,0,1) in the prediction of infected with EMPA=0.178 and R2=0.804 and ARIMA(3,1,1), with EMPA= 0.243 and R2=0.579, for prediction of deaths.

Twenty stranding events of cetaceans are reported in four places of southern coast at Peru: Mejía (Arequipa), Punta Coles (Moquegua) and the sites of Ite, Llostay and Los Palos (Tacna). Observations of these events were carried out during 2016-2021. Identified species are: Balaenoptera musculus, Megaptera novaeangliae, Tursiops truncatus, Delphinus delphis, Phocoena spinipinnis, and Lagenorhynchus obscurus. The identification was made using a key of skulls and performing standard morphometric measurements in freshly beached whole animals. Mysticeti's weight was also estimated. Observations included information about clues of interaction between fisheries and cetaceans. Strandings of Mysticeti only occurred in Los Palos, while the species with more landings was Phocoena spinipinnis. Precisely, in the present work, remains of this species are reported for Mejía, Ite, and Los Palos.
