Introduction: The objective self-evaluation of clinical nursing competencies implies applying a valid, reliable and feasible method in identifying the development of clinical practices. In this regard, it is established to adapt the Mini-Cex to the local context to be applied during hospital practices. Materials and methods: Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study. A self-assessment was applied to a population of nursing students, using the adapted Mini-Cex instrument. The instrument was validated by teachers and Cronbach's alpha. The self-evaluation was carried out on a scale of 1 - 9. Being 1 - 3 unsatisfactory, 4-6 Satisfactory, 7 to 9 outstanding. The project was evaluated by an ethics committee. Results: Regarding the percentage of students who obtained an outstanding self-evaluation, the following stand out: competence for communication with 73%; anamnesis and physical exam competence with 68.2%; competence to show professionalism in nursing with 62.3%. The overall proficiency level as a student was 6.39 + 1.99 on average. Discussion: The Mini-Cex can be applied in students in a valid way, as a self-evaluation in order to promote conscious reflection on the process of training competencies in nursing. Conclusions: The instrument indicated which were the main competences developed by the students at the same time that it could be validated with respect to the comments of the professionals who used it and the Cronbach's Alpha test.

The objective of this work was to carry out a chemical characterization and in situ degradability of organic waste for cattle feed. The dry matter of banana residues of variety CAVENDISH and ORITO (green leaf, stem and rachis), cocoa residues of variety ARRIBA and CCN-51 (peel, husk and placenta), residues of sugar cane variety CC 8592 and ECU-01 were evaluated (green leaf, dry leaf and bagasse). By means of proximal analysis, the dry matter, crude protein, ash, ether extract, crude fiber and nitrogen-free extract were determined; Fiber analysis: neutral detergent fiber (FDN), acid detergent fiber (FDA) and acid detergent lignin (LDA); Gross energy analysis; In situ degradability and degradation kinetics. The samples were incubated within the fistulated rumen of Brahman crossbred cattle with a live weight of 450 Kg ± 20 Kg for 0, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours. The values ​​of the proximal analysis present an important option on the residues evaluated as animal feed thanks to the content of nutrients present and gross energy, however, the content of fibers and lignin could limit their consumption, the in situ degradability of their dry matter they are considerably acceptable in bovine diets, observing a medium degradability through the ruminal degradation kinetics at 96 hours. In conclusion, the organic residues of banana, cocoa and sugar cane are a good food alternative in cattle.

El presente trabajo investigativo tuvo como objetivo identificar las estrategias de fortalecimiento de la comunidad de aprendizaje en relación a las capacidades emprendedoras de estudiantes de bachillerato de Manabí, Ecuador. Se desarrolló bajo enfoque cuali-cuantitativo. El tipo de investigación fue bibliográfico, descriptivo y exploratorio; se obtuvieron datos relevantes de la problemática y el análisis específico de la realidad investigada, se tomó como referencia la selección y revisión de fuentes investigativas realizada en una institución educativa, se utilizó el método probabilístico estratificado de tipo aleatorio y simple. Las técnicas de investigación utilizadas fueron a través de la encuesta a estudiantes y entrevista a los dirigentes. Los instrumentos de investigación fueron validados por expertos. Los resultados de la encuesta a estudiantes presentaron de mayor a menor preferencia las charlas motivacionales, seguida de los talleres de liderazgo, oratorias, valores, capacitaciones. La conclusión es que los estudiantes lograron distinguir que entre las capacidades emprendedoras de mayor relevancia están aquellas potencialidades que permite a las personas identificar oportunidades de negocio; además es necesario identificar los factores positivos y negativos para ejecutar cambios los cuales benefician el desarrollo de las capacidades emprendedoras, siempre y cuando se promueva la práctica de la inclusión, la igualdad y el diálogo.

The technological tools used in initial education allow children to explore different types of skills, one of which is language expression. This paper aims to determine the development of comprehension and oral expression skills through the application of virtual learning tools, in children of initial level II of the Educational Unit José Aquiles Valencia Delgado of the canton Rocafuerte - Manabí. The study was developed under a qualitative-quantitative, descriptive, exploratory and bibliographic approach. The collection of information was carried out through observation cards for children, parent surveys and teacher interviews. The results show a limited application of virtual learning tools by educators, there is a communication deficit in students at this stage, In addition, parents do not know how to use the educational tools and therefore students do not use the virtual tool on a regular basis. It is concluded that children despite visualizing virtual applications of education, which in turn are not frequent, present difficulties in the development of their comprehension and oral expression skills, However, skill can be strengthened by using virtual applications that are easily accessible to both students, parents and teachers at the institution.

The analysis of the reading comprehension levels is the basis for designing the ideal strategies for the students' needs. The present study aims to evaluate the levels of reading comprehension with the use of the ABP methodology in eighth-grade students of the Uruguay Fiscal Education Unit in Portoviejo. The research was developed under the qualitative-quantitative approach of a descriptive and bibliographic type, to deepen and discuss results, analysis and deduction methods were used. Meanwhile, the factual study was carried out by applying interviews to teachers, surveys of parents and students; In addition, a reading test was used for the students. The results show: limited reading practice by students, little use of strategies that attract the attention of the student body as unsuitable methodologies are considered as consequences of shortcomings in the development of the literal, inferential and critical levels. It is concluded that, for a correct development of the levels of reading comprehension, the techniques used by the teaching body are not interesting, creative and appropriate, depending on the contrast executed between what is stated by the educators and the replies of the students, as well as the results obtained in the application of the reading test.

El ajedrez surgió en el sur de Europa en la segunda mitad del siglo XV, como evolución del juego persa “Shatranj”, que a su vez tubo origen del más antiguo “Chaturanga”, en la actualidad constituye uno de los juegos de tablero más populares del mundo. Su inicio como deporte y práctica competitiva, se remonta al siglo XVI; su primer campeón mundial fue Wilhelm Steinitz en 1886. Desde el siglo XX, dos organizaciones internacionales, la Federación Mundial de Ajedrez y la Federación Internacional de Ajedrez por correspondencia han organizado y supervisado las competiciones y el funcionamiento de la disciplina. Su amplia práctica ha llevado a la creación de escuelas que se especializan en su enseñanza y también se ha introducido como asignaturas en instituciones educativas de diversos niveles. Algunos autores describen que su práctica estimula el desarrollo del pensamiento. Con el artículo se pretende argumentar la riqueza que posee en la activación y dinamización de las inteligencias del ser humano, muy en especial en las y los estudiantes. En la construcción del resultado se realizó un análisis de la literatura mediante el cual se pudo determinar los aspectos esenciales de su evolución como deporte y en su introducción en la enseñanza. Como resultados relevantes destaca el análisis teórico de dicha evolución y la propuesta de acciones basadas en temas para incluirlo como actividad curricular en la universidad.

The present research aimed to analyze the use of virtual technological tools in students with SEN not associated with disability using virtual learning environments of the U.E.F. Manuel Augusto Guillen Vélez. For this, a qualitative-quantitative methodology was used, exploratory, descriptive and bibliographic, deepening categories and analyzing the results from induction and deduction. The field work was comprised of the survey directed at teachers and parents and the interviews with experts, finding as a result that children with SEN (special educational need)  need great attention and that teachers play a fundamental role, since, to the extent In that they are trained to develop their plans in a differentiated way and prepared to design and apply effective teaching strategies in those students who have learning difficulties, they will facilitate the learning process of the minors, which will benefit them at the institution and at home.Based on these results, it was concluded that the use of educational technological tools helps the development and teaching and learning process and, in contrast, that their application must be consistent with the attention that these children demand from their teachers and parents.

Flipped classroom method is a mixed pedagogical model that reverses the traditional one-sided teaching of education, as it allows group learning and transferring direct instruction to individual learning. The aim of the present study is to determine the influence of the application of flipped classroom method on the learning of mathematical skills in upper elementary school students. For this purpose, the study uses a mixed-approach, including descriptive, exploratory, and bibliographic methods. The study involves observation, followed by a mix of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis tools. The results allow the identification of the technological resources that optimize the teaching-learning experience, which is key for teachers and students to improve the understanding of math classes. However, teachers seldom use this method, which is reflected in the teaching strategies they use. The study concludes that students find the flipped classroom method useful for improving math skills.

Over the years, digital tools have been gradually inserted in the educational field, becoming an important necessity to carry out the process of academic training of students, allowing to change the traditional role of the teacher in imparting knowledge in the classroom. In this sense, digital tools are presented in an innovative way as teaching strategies within the educational task in an active and participatory way. Indeed, the present article aims to determine the importance of educational digital tools in the academic performance of middle school students. The work was based on a descriptive type of research under a bibliographic documentary study through the collection of information in different databases for documentary analysis and synthesis, for which conceptual elements found were taken into consideration. The research carried out reflects as results contributions of theoretical character, analysis of studies to educational institutions that used digital tools in the teaching-learning process. Concluding that the use of digital educational tools at the middle level positively affects the academic performance of students.

Objective: Traditionally, competency assessment models dedicated largely to informational competencies dedicated to assessing levels of information literacy (IL) have been applied, mainly in academic environments. With the development of computerization processes, the use of digital skills and their evaluation have been imposed, even in non-academic environments. The aim is to create and apply an instrument for evaluating digital skills based on the European DIGCOMP model. Methodology: The characteristics of the DIGCOMP model, developed in the "European Framework for Digital Competences", are presented. Empirical level methods were applied for their selection and application, such as; the documentary study as well as the interview with directors and main specialists of the Ministry of Higher Education. The historical background of models and tools implemented in the last decade were also studied in order to detect their validity. Results: It is concluded that the development in information and communications technologies has imposed the need for changes in the traditional models and instruments implemented for the diagnosis of competencies for not presenting the relevance and importance of the prevailing digital ecosystem at the international level that enhances the access, processing, protection and use of the necessary information in our higher education system. In the work, the DIGCOMP model is used because it is very complete and versatile. On it, a digital skills self-assessment instrument is designed and applied to university students. Conclusions: In the study carried out, the DIGCOMP model was implemented to diagnose the state of digital skills, since it is considered very versatile and complete to carry out studies of them in different environments. On this occasion, a study was developed in a university academic environment under the self-assessment modality. Value: The identification of the Areas and the descriptions of the specific competences of the DIGCOMP model relevant for the evaluation of university professors and students will allow the development of a specific instrument for the evaluation of digital competences.
