Resumen
Inventory control requires proper management to prevent delivery delays; management actions should be defined according to the average market demand. In this sense, standardization is a global competitiveness strategy that brings with it the strengthening of organizations' operations, improving their positioning in the markets. Therefore, a system called SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operation Planning) was developed and documented, having as inputs the demand and available inventories, which are processed, to generate the 3M of capacity (machinery, labor, and materials). Six A-rated part numbers were chosen to study the impact of SIOP adoption. The results show that averages and variations in inventory levels were reduced. A general discussion of the findings and conclusions drawn is presented, recommending a continuation for future research.

Resumen
Traumatic injuries in the primary dentition are one of the main reasons for pediatric dentistry consultation.Intrusive dislocations in the primary dentition are severe injuries in which the tooth moves axially towards the socket, causing tissue damage that can seriously affect the supporting tissues and successor teeth, and conservative treatment is recommended. Objective:to describe the outcome of conservative treatment for severe intrusion of a primary incisor.Case presentation:this is a 1 year and 10 month old male patient who attends the pediatric emergency area at El Centro Médico Docente la Trinidad for dentofacial trauma. At the time of the clinical examination, after the pediatric evaluation,it was observed that he presented a lacerating lesion in the gingiva of the anterosuperior sector with the absence of the primary upper central incisor (51). A radiographic examination confirmed the diagnosis of complete intrusive dislocation with a vestibular table fracture in the premaxilla and an uncomplicated enamel-dentin coronal fracture of 51.Topical disinfection of the area was performed, preventive antibiotic therapy, anti-inflammatories,oral hygiene and soft liquid diet were prescribed. The treatment of choice was conservative, waiting for spontaneous re-eruption for later restoration.Periodic controls were carried out in person and through teleodontology, showing favorable resolution. Twelve months after the trauma, the tooth reached the occlusion plane, with no symptoms. The aesthetic restoration was performed with light-cured composite. Conclusions:conservative management in cases of severe intrusive dislocations, accompanied by adequate monitoring, allows satisfactory results to be obtained.

Resumen
Introduction: Pulpal revascularization is the first-choice therapy to treat immature permanent teeth affected by pulpal necrosis with periodontitis or apical abscess. Evidence indicates that this technique induces repair of damaged or missing tissue within and around the root canal. During the postoperative controls, the clinician basically has the clinical, radiographic or imaging findings to interpret and evaluate the results obtained with the therapy. Objective: To identify the clinical, radiographic and imaging findings that determine the success of pulpal revascularization. Materials and methods: The development of this narrative review was carried out through a search strategy in the electronic database and direct consultation of specialized web portals. In addition, a search was carried out in search of primary articles cited regardless of the year of publication. Results: 25 publications were selected for their contribution and relevance, so that this review can fulfill its objective. Conclusions: From the clinical point of view, both to control the signs and symptoms of the infection and to induce periapical repair, it is a successful therapy. It has been shown that it can thicken the root walls and narrow the apical foramen at the expense of the deposition of mineralized tissue. However, root elongation remains an uncertain outcome. A positive response to sensitivity tests suggests the existence of vital tissue within the root canal.

Resumen
Dental brushing is the recognized traditional method for removing the biofilm. Objective: To evaluate the relationship between age and toothbrushing, as well as the association between toothbrushing and caries lesions in schoolchildren in Montevideo, Uruguay. Material and Methods: An observational, cross sectional and analytic study was carried on 127 schoolchildren aged 4 to 11 years old, in Montevideo, Uruguay. The parents were asked about the oral health habits of their children through a questionnaire, and the variables toothbrushing time, Simplified Oral Hygiene Index and ICDAS index were registered. Results: Mean age of the children was 7,93 years (SD ± 1,95). Mean time of toothbrushing was 47 seconds (DS ± 27 seconds). The toothbrushing times reported by the parents differed significantly from those observed in the children. As age increased, brushing time also increased. A multiple regression model was adjusted to analyze the relationship between the decrease in the magnitude of IHOS due to toothbrushing and the variables age, toothbrushing time and brushing aid. There was an association between the variables help and / or supervision in brushing and presence or not of dental caries Conclusions: A significant relationship was found between toothbrushing, age, gender and brushing time in this group of children. When the age was higher, they spent more time brushing their teeth and they had better results in oral hygiene index. Children who had parents help or supervision had lower caries lesions.

Resumen
The objective of this case report is to present a 9-year-old female patient who suffered horizontal root fracture in the middle third of the two upper central permanent incisors. The teeth were splinted with composite resin in the proximal teeth involved in the trauma. After, the patient was referred to the pediatric dentistry clinic, where she received clinical and radiographic care for a period of ten years. Endodontic intervention was not necessary on both central incisors teeth. Tooth 11 healing by interposition of bone and connective tissue, and teeth 21 healing by interposition of connective tissue. After ten years, the teeth presented without any significant signs or symptoms requiring an invasive intervention. It is concluded that the patient's cooperation regarding care, oral hygiene and attendance at the return appointments, can be decisive for the success of the treatment.

Resumen
Adolescence is characterized as a period of development in which biological, physiological and psychological changes occur that often increase the appearance of risk behaviors, such as substance use. Some factors have been identified that could predispose to the development of this problem: vulnerability, autonomy issues, social pressure, traumatic events, emotional and psychiatric disorders, among others. Oral health professionals can help prevent and detect suspected cases of substance use when changes in the appearance of adolescent patients are observed. The aim of this article is to inform about the negative impact of illicit substance use on the oral health of adolescents and the recognition of warning signs. In addition, a sequence of dental care is proposed for this population at risk.

Resumen
Purpose of this study was to verify the prevalence of MHI, the severity and the impact on the quality of life, in children from 8 to 10 years of age. Materials and methods: A total of 864 children of both genders, in the city of Vila Velha, ES, were evaluated. The clinical assessment followed the diagnostic criteria of the EAPD. As exclusion criterion of the research were children with cognitive deficits, neuropsychomotor and carriers orthodontic appliances. The mild or severe conditions were determined by assessing the need for treatment (WHO) and involvement of permanent molars and incisors. To evaluate the impact on quality of life, the Child Perception Questionnaire was applied, composed of 29 questions elaborated to observe the child’s perception regarding oral symptoms, functional limitations, well-being Emotional and social. For statistical analysis, Chi, Square, Fischer and Poisson tests were used. Results: A frequency of 183 children (21%) with MHI was found, with 125 (68.3%) with the severe type requiring treatment. In the application of CPQ, the sensitivity and pain in affected teeth presented a higher score, and when this instrument was associated with the presence or absence of MHI, the affected individuals also had a greater impact in this domain (P = 0.04). Conclusions: The MHI affects the studied population in severe condition, requiring preventive and restorative dental care, and can negatively impact the quality of life of the students in relation to their oral health, as far as oral symptoms are concerned.

Resumen
This paper explores the relationship between the context of production of texts and their specific features. With this aim, the study compares the features related to syntactic and stylistic simplification between two textual practices: translation and Academic Writing. Actually, both practices are produced in common contexts with similar purposes. Further, the exam of simplification-related features in different sets of texts translated into English from different languages also allow for further verifying the translation universals hypothesis of simplification. For the analysis, an archive of four comparable corpora of English texts is compiled, representing original and translated versions of academic and non-academic texts, respectively. Once determined concrete indicators of simplification (lexical variety, lexical density, mean sentence length, presence of subordination and of non-finite sentences), a corpus-based methodology is used to identify each one of them in each set of texts, according to the hypothesis that both practices present the same simplification-related features at the same extent. The comparison of the results refutes both hypotheses, showing that each practice presents different simplification-related features and, in all the analyzed corpora, originals result to be simpler than translations. Moreover, the distribution of the examined indicators across the four corpora seems to follow a regular pattern suggesting an interesting point of departure for further studies.
