Resumen
In recent decades, a change has been observed in both the ways older women face life —increasingly heterogeneous and tending to develop active ageing— and in people’s minds. Beginning with the premise that advertising tends to imbue its products with socially accepted and positive meanings for its targets, 318 commercials featuring older women were analysed to identify which roles, values, stereotypes and gender bias are presented in their narrative. The results show that the presence of older women is focused on products for personal, pets and home care, mainly. And the manner they are portrayed proves to be varied and in keeping with the ways older women experience different societal roles, except for professional ones.

Resumen
In this study, an approach is made to the agendas of the media and political parties in the electoral campaigns of 2015 and 2016 in Spain. The objective of the research is to analyze if a change in the media agenda was a possible influencer for a change in the political agenda between both campaigns. For this, a content analysis of the political and media agendas is carried out, both the thematic and discursive aspects during the electoral campaigns of both elections. The results confirm a change of agendas in the political and media agendas between the 2015 and 2016 campaigns, although a direct influence of one agenda on the other cannot be determined.

Resumen
The main objective of this research is to analyze the role played by the different Spanish autonomous communities in the national media debate. The inauguration ceremony of the regional presidents is taken as a reference, an act with great institutional and political significance for each territory. The content analysis of the impact of the 207 inauguration ceremonies of the 107 Spanish regional presidents in ABC and El País, points to significant differences in terms of the role of each region in the national press. The data demonstrates the existence of a group made up of the historical communities and the Community of Madrid, which focuses media attention. As for the rest of the autonomies, there is unequal treatment that leads, in some cases, to the invisibility of certain territories. In addition, the results confirm that other factors also influence media coverage, such as the political party to which the president belongs or if there is a change in the presidency.

Resumen
Advertising creativity has been scarcely operationalized and, considering the irregular lists of formats drawn up to date, few are the studies that have addressed the classification of the formulas or sources that help to create advertising messages. The aim of this study is to make a contribution in this respect by positing audiovisual narrative genres as useful and prolific sources for gaining strategic insights and establishing creative concepts. To this end, a content analysis was performed on a sample of 411 ads picking up awards or shortlisted at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (2009-2018). Besides the audiovisual genre, positioning and product categories are also examined. The results indicate the importance of genres, especially comedy and drama, in advertising, while providing several practical pointers as regards their strategic and creative implications.

Resumen
This study analyzes the audiovisual consumption habits of university students through a quantitative survey among 725 students at the University of the Basque Country. It has been observed not only a generalized tendency of digital natives towards online consumption, but also a marked generation gap between the first and last year groups. While the first years’ students (18-20 years) practice a fast-watching viewing, fragmented and multitasking consumption in their smartphones, the latter (21-23) practice rested consumption, a preference for audiovisual classical formats on their laptops.

Resumen
Information and communication technologies enable the collaboration of the public in the processes of information production. One of the formulas for citizen participation that implies a greater increase in the value of journalistic products is co-creation, a technique that allows recipients to be integrated into ideation, development and promotion. This paper analyzes the opportunities that audiences find to co-create in the most consumed digital native media in the countries with the highest rate of internet penetration in the world. From a sample selection made with quantitative criteria, qualitative techniques are used to explore all the scenarios in which co-creation is possible (web, social media and offline spaces). The results point to a still very incipient development of co-creation opportunities and no significant differences can be ratify between the different regions in the world.

Resumen
Due to the existing conditions of violence and insecurity in Mexico, the practice of journalism is a high risk activity. As an outcome of the increasing diversity of attacks, some news workers have found that the collective action through journalists’ associations is a way to improve their working conditions. Therefore, the aim of this article is to analyse reporters’ perceptions of those groups. In doing so, the study draws on a set of 93 semi-structured interviews with reporters located in the 23 most dangerous states of the country. The findings suggest that there is a favourable opinion regarding the associations, but their structure and operation also raise questions amongst the interviewees. Nonetheless, several journalists also criticise those groups’ performance and limited results.

Resumen
This article analyses the presence of American family sitcoms in children’s and youth television programming on Spanish broadcasting networks during the golden age of commercial television (1990-2005). Furthermore, the ratings these serials scored upon release will be assessed, as well as what has abided in viewers’ memories of those who were viewers at the time. It was found that there is an idealization, by those viewers, of both the contents and the moment in which they watched them, that can influence the cultivation effect. American family sitcoms are seen as a one-of-a-kind serial because of its ability to create a reality which is perceived as different from actual life, but that is easily accepted and assimilated as good. The effect of nostalgia gives rise - within time- to an uncritical and positive view of the television programmes in question.

Resumen
The political success of Berlusconi cannot be explained without the televisions. Nor that of Salvini, without the social networks. From the "if it does not appear on television, it does not exist" of the first, to the incendiary tweets and to the anything goes of the second. Same strategy, new media? The aim of this article is to reflect on the communicative techniques of the two Italian politicians, putting the emphasis on analogies and differences. It will delve into the communicative techniques used by Berlusconi and Salvini and the use they have made of the media to build an electorally attractive and politically successful image.

Resumen
This article analyzes the media representation of youth movements that fight against climate change, taking as a reference their main organizations: Fridays for Future and Extinction Rebellion. Methodology is based on a content analysis of 262 news pieces published during the peak period of the 2019 mobilizations in four Spanish online newspapers of reference: El País, Eldiario.es, ABC and La Vanguardia. The results show that the self-described progressive media offer a more favorable attitude towards the mobilizations, especially when addressing Fridays for Future, while the conservative ones move between a position of neutrality and opposition, less benevolent in the case of Extinction Rebellion. Although the newspapers offer a contextualized view, supported by the activists' accounts, the representation of the protests tends to be somewhat sensationalist and more focused on the conflict than on its political agenda: in the case of Fridays for Future, they tend to an exotic personalization it in the figure of Greta Thunberg, whose proposals are rarely announced, while in the case of Extinction Rebellion some of their non-violent actions and performances are portrayed in an anecdotal way.
