In the numerous Iron Age ceramic assemblages collected in Alcácer do Sal, both in necropolis of Olival do Senhor dos Mártires, as in the corresponding settlement (Castle), and in the sanctuary from Travessa do Rato, in the riverside area, the plates, in Red Slip ware, gray and plain ware productions, are a constant presence. Many correspond to classic models, well known in the peninsular Orientalizing world. Others, however, have a very particular morphology, which developed in the 5th century BC, and can be considered as a local evolution of the Red Slip ware plates of Phoenician origin.

This study focuses on the analysis of the delimitation of the sacred spaces (loca sacra) in Pompeii, specifically of the temples in this city. The Roman laws concerning sacred spaces were studied to know if the sacred spaces of Pompeii abided by the urban regulation. The temples in Pompeii were not regulated by a homogeneous legislation, the system to delimit the sacred space changed from one temple to another, and the termini (the delimiting stones the Roman legislation refers to) were not always present.

The authors focus on a set of miniature axes/adzes made of fibrolite (fibrous variety of the mineral sillimanite – Al2SiO5) from Beira Interior (Portugal). The rarity of nodules of this rock that can be transformed into objects, along with its exceptional aesthetic dimension (texture, chromaticism), allow it to understand how much it was appreciated since the Neolithic and Chalcolithic period. This approach demonstrates not only that fibrolite was still been manipulated in the Late Bronze Age, but also that the symbolism inherent to this type of artefacts, within the scope of the miniaturization phenomenon, endured through time. Its study and that of the respective contexts, when known, are enhanced by the results of X-ray fluorescence analyses, which leave some clues about the problem of the circulation of fibrolite in the western half of the Iberian Peninsula.

Urban housing can provide information of enormous relevance for reflection on the Roman past by allowing for the approach and resolution of questions of a very diverse nature about society. This paper will contemplate the architectural and functional study of the Domus de Peristilo of the hispanorroman city of Arucci (Aroche, Huelva), in order to present a general overview of housing and the domestic architecture of the city, but also of the urbanism, economic, political, social and cultural framework in which it is inserted. In doing so, we will attempt to reconcile the disparate situation that characterizes this type of studies, traditionally relegated to a secondary plane of importance in favor of the analysis of monumental public buildings, while we will stressing the need to increase them in a short and medium-term future.

The thermal-baths of the Roman city of Arucci is constituted as an interesting architectural complex within this category of public buildings in the hispanian context. Located in one of the highest levels of the city, this space dedicated to the bathroom has been delimited and partially excavated during various excavations campaings and geophysical surveys framed in different research projects. The results of the latest activities are added to those already known, which has made it possible to identify numerous rooms, piscinae, latrinae, apodyterium, cisternae, and so on, that brings us closer to knowing the functionality and functioning of the thermal-baths in their time of activity. From the chronological point of view, the building is estructured in two areas, the first one being built at a previus time in the second half of the 1st century AD; and the second one in the monumentalizing impulse that undergoes the city in Flavian era, and maintain his use until his abandonment in the first quarter of 3rd century AD.
